Step by graceful step: Amanda carefully ascended the rocky path before her: her eyes taking in the rugged environment around her. ''Certainly not a place for a lady...'' she considered sullenly, pausing to listen for any sounds of activity. In the distance, she could hear grunts and cracking noises: likely a Fighting-Type training. In the air: a flock of Swablu could be seen flying over her, soaring gracefully through the crisp air. For the seemingly desolate nature of the mountain; even here: life and a certain beauty could be found if one stopped to look. Reaching into her purse, Amanda brushed a hand over the round devices within. The sigil of the Academy marked them as property of a student: herself. A brief smile appeared on her face, as the realization that she was now a trainer: dawned on her. It was by all means a pleasant idea: but it required work. Trainers needed many Pokemon, and that was why she had come here. After all: someone of her standards would require a special selection of servants. A particularly loud crashing sound broke the girls train of thought, the noise growing and fading as she could see a large boulder roll down the side of the mountain. Most certainly the work of one of the more powerful residents of the mountain. Steeling herself, Amanda set off once more: set on finding a new Pokemon before the day was over Searching for: - -

A chirping noise drew Amanda's attention. Turning around, she could see a ruffled looking bird skipping across the rocks, pecking here and there. Probably looking for something to eat. Curious, the young girl reached into her purse for the Pokedex, somewhat embarrassed by her inability to discern the species at a glance. Although for that reason alone, it likely wasn't Kalosian.
''Rufflet, the Eaglet Pokémon. Rufflet's talons are powerful. Able to crack open even the toughest Berries. It often challenges stronger opponents to battle. It can primarily be found native to the Unova region.''
As she tapped on the interface of her device, reading on the Pokemon: Amanda paused, considering. A Rufflet could certainly be a powerful Pokemon to own if evolved into Braviary, yet she wasn't entirely convinced the little bird was the object of her search. Ultimately, it wouldn't be proper to capture a Pokemon she didn't wholly want. Stashing her Pokedex once more, Amanda smiled at the Pokemon as she turned around and resumed her ascent up the mountain.

''Si je me trompe, c'est un pokemon spéciale!''Amanda furrowed her brow, studying the Pokemon before her. She had seen Makuhita before, although they weren't too common in Kalos. This one: seemed odd by some measure. A quick glance at her Pokedex confirmed what she has suspected: the display showcased a completely different color than what she was seeing. The only conclusion was: this must be a rare shiny Pokemon! Her lips formed a smile: as the young girl tapped on one of the Pokeballs within her purse: releasing one of her own in expectation for battle. She hadn't planned on catching this particular kind of Pokemon, but who could pass up a shiny? ''Alright Marquis Muddy, get ready to capture!'' VS Gesturing towards the Makuhita gracefully, Amanda nodded. ''Use Hydro Pump!''The Water-Type dashed foward, a torrent of water unleashed from his mouth (Hydro Pump): the clear azure jet slamming right into the belly of the wild Fighter. Despite the power of the move, the Shiny seemed to be aggravated at most. Angrily: he rushed right up to the Mudkip, before letting loose a hard punishing slap to the face (Wake-up Slap). Amanda studied her Pokedex, watching the health bars of both Pokemon decrease in length: both switching from a bright green to a paler shade. ''Another Hydro Pump!'' she commanded. Another jet of water (Hydro Pump) smacked the Makuhita, widening the distance between him and the Mudkip. Growling, the Pokemon merely closed it again, slamming his elbow into the Mudkip (Reversal): sending the water type flying into the air. Gasping in shock: the trainer barely managed to catch her Pokemon, dropping her Pokedex to hold the injured Mudkip. As she gently knelt down to pick the device back up: it showed her what she dreaded. While the Makuhita wouldn't likely survive another hit, Reversal scaled inversely with the health of it's owner: and the force of the blow had reduced the Mudkips health to a flashing red bar. Amanda knew a third blow would likely finish off either of the two. Yet Muddy was in a far worse state. She stroked the Mudkips head lightly: concerned. ' 'Do you still want to battle?'' The Mudkip nodded, weakly jumping out of her arms and back onto the ground: glaring at his opponent. The Makuhita, meanwhile: was smiling. Although the shiny was obviously bruised from where the torrents had struck him: he was obviously enjoying the battle. Amanda sighed: ''Very well... if that is what you wish, finish him! Knock him out with a final Hydro Pump!'' Her reasoning was clear: she had hoped that if Muddy could finish the Fighter from a distance, then perhaps she could capture him without endangering her Pokemon further. The Makuhita had realized this, however. So upon her command, he began to run towards Mudkip and trainer: intent on securing the knockout first. Unfortunately, he was not fast enough: and before he had closed the distance, the water (Hydro Pump) struck him. The Shiny barely had time to brace himself for impact, protecting (Endure) himself from the attack. While it would still harm him: he could take his opponent down directly. Yet, as the Makuhita uncrossed his arms: swinging for the final attack. A thrown Academy ball hit him, flashing brightly as the Fighting-Type was sucked into it.

Well, look at that.
You "comfortably encapsulated" that big guy. Deduct one ball from your PC.
