Her face flushed with delight from one success already, Annie ran eagerly over the snowy expanses of the top of the mountain. She loved the snow! For certain, she was dressed for it, thick lavender-washed pants and a long, ice-blue coatdress covering her uniform. Though she was otherwise entirely covered in thick fabric, right down to the heavy gloves on her hands and fleece-lined boots on her feet, the hood of her coat was pushed back. The cold wind whipped at her exultant face and blew her long silver hair into a wild, joyful mess behind her head. At her belt were three Poké Balls, each holding an Ice-type Pokémon: one Snorunt, slightly tired from a recent battle but likely good for another; one Sneasel, fresh and ready to fight; and one Swinub, freshly caught and not yet healed from the adventure. Annie knew which one she would most likely have to rely on if she met another Pokémon, and she was eager to put Senka the Sneasel through her paces.
{Ice-types. Throw 'em at me.}

From behind a snowdrift came a little pineapple-shaped ball of wood and ice with eyes. Annie grinned--two new Ice-types in one trip!--and grabbed the Poké Ball containing the only uninjured Pokémon she had with her. Senka materialized, obviously delighted by the prospect of a fight. "Metal Claw!" Annie ordered her Sneasel. Steel-type move, ought to be super effective against it. The Snover was hurt, and in response rooted itself in the icy ground. The roots seemed to be there to heal it and to ensure it didn't get driven away. That latter purpose was certainly fine by Annie. "Excellent job, Senka--get it with another Metal Claw!" Senka complied, the wickedly hooked claws doing a terrific job of tearing the Snover apart. It was cut and injured, in such a way that Annie winced and touched her face where there was a similar injury, but it was still strong enough to throw a hail of sharp ice shards at Senka, who mostly just brushed it off on account of being Ice-type herself. And the Ingrained roots improved its situation... a little bit, anyway. "It's almost down. Feint Attack!" Annie ordered her Sneasel. There was no question of whether it would hit; the strike was guaranteed. The Snover fell down, its roots vanishing. Annie grabbed a Poké Ball from her bag and threw it at the fainted Snover, confident that she would have another member for her team in short order. {Battle Log} A wild Snover appeared! Annie sent out Senka! Senka used Metal Claw! It's super effective! The wild Snover used Ingrain! The wild Snover's HP was restored by Ingrain! Senka used Metal Claw! It's super effective! The wild Snover used Ice Shard! It's not very effective... The wild Snover's HP was restored by Ingrain! Senka used Faint Attack! The wild Snover fainted! Annie used one Academy Ball!
