Tanya seemed to find that pokemon liked being up in mountains. How did she know? This was the second time she had to climb something in order to find some pokemon. Maybe pokemon liked having their heads up in the clouds. Whatever reason they had, Tanya didn't know. She had quite a sizable party, but she didn't mind it being larger.
She liked having variety and in any case, going out and searching for pokemon was a good way to clear her head. Being up here, she could just let her insecurities and fears just drip away. Right now, she just wanted to find some pokemon she could use. It could be pretty fun, even if it was pretty tiring.
((Preferred Spawns: Rufflet, Fletchling))

As she was traversing the mountaintop, Tanya came across an interesting looking pokemon. It had a magnificent plume of white feathers and one long feather on the top of his head, which was separated into a red and white side. Having never seen a pokemon like it before, Tanya got out her pokedex and pointed it towards the pokemon.
It turned out to be a Rufflet, a pokemon from Unova. Tanya had noticed that her team lacked a proper flying type. While her Combee could eventually evolve into a Vespiquen, she was still unable to learn the Fly move. Having the ability to use that move would come in handy, plus she wanted to have a flying pokemon that worked mainly off their physical power since a lot of moves used by flying types were physical in nature.
"Nicholas! Use Discharge on the Rufflet!" Tanya commanded, holding the pokeball in front of her and releasing it. When Nicholas came out, he started to charge electricity in his fur before letting out a proud cry and shooting the electricity all over the area. The Rufflet turned to face the Shinx just in time to receive a discharge in the face. Knocked backwards, the Rufflet looked to be disorientated, finding hard to move as sparks surged around his body.
"All right! He's paralyzed!" Tanya cheered, the Shinx turning to his trainer and donning a proud look on his face. While he looked away though, the Rufflet came from behind Nicholas and slashed him with his feathers. Nicholas let out a cry as he turned to face the Rufflet, not looking pleased at all.
"Finish it off with a Thunder Fang!" Tanya ordered, the Shinx ready to defeat the Rufflet. Charging up his teeth, he went and munched on the bird. Letting out a cry, the bird fell to the floor and collapsed, out of energy and paralyzed. Getting out one of her pokeballs, Tanya threw it at the Rufflet, hoping to add yet another pokemon to her repertoire.

Picking up the pokeball, Tanya put the pokeball into her bag before she turned to face her Shinx. "Good job Nicholas! Let's head back before-" Tanya said, stopping when she noticed that the pokemon was starting to glow. Tanya stayed still, her mouth agape as she was watching her pokemon evolve. Though this was the 7th time that one of her pokemon evolved, it didn't take away from the wonder of the scenario.
When the light cleared, Nicholas had evolved into a Luxio. Letting out a triumphant cry, Luxio began to stroke itself, a sense of pride in his movements. Smiling happily, Tanya returned the pokemon to his pokeball. Today seemed to be a good day after all.
It was a nice reprieve from the feelings that she was feeling before. After all, she got to see her pokemon evolve, which was awesome.
