The nervous anticipation that Tanya had for the tournament was palpable. While it was tempting to just throw in the pokemon she had at the moment, there was just a little bit more training that she had to do. Alongside Christopher, Tanya walked down Harmonia Beach. She knew he was pretty close to evolving. All he needed was that little push and then he'd be done. Then again though, that was easier said than done.
"Let's try and find a pokemon to practice on." Tanya informed Christopher, the pokemon nodding and frowning at the path ahead of them. She did love how cool the pokemon tried to act. At least he was somewhat eager. She was worried that he wouldn't forgive her for the way she caught him. While that probably was not the best experience for him, he seemed to be fine now. While she didn't actively search for a Snivy, she was glad she stuck with him.

Walking along the beach, Tanya eventually caught sight of an Otter pokemon, who looked to be having fun playing in the sand. She had to admit, the pokemon looked adorable. Unfortunately though, Tanya needed to train and the pokemon looked to be a good pokemon for Christopher to train with.
"Christopher! Use Wrap!" Tanya ordered, pointing towards the Oshawott. On her order, Christopher began to move quickly, ensnaring the pokemon with his body and crushing the Otter pokemon. The Oshawott let out a cry, trying to struggle against the bonds. Eventually, it started to glow brighter, his shell glowing really bright in particular.
"Giga Drain!" Tanya commanded, thinking she might be going a little overboard. Green tendrils shot out of Christopher as he continued to ensnare his opponent, attaching themselves to the Oshawott, causing the pokemon to cry out in pain as the energy was drained from the pokemon. In retaliation though, the Oshawott managed to get out it's shell and started to repeatedly slash Christopher, the pokemon letting out a pained cry.
"Just a bit more! Finish it off with Giga Drain!" Tanya cried out, noticing that Christopher seemed to be hurt by the attack. The green tendrils shot out once more, ensnaring their opponent. While the Oshawott did cry one more time, at this point she had ran out of energy, collapsing due to exhaustion.
At this point, Tanya got out her academy ball and threw it at the Oshawott, hoping to catch it.

Behold.
You jammed your new Pokemon into a ball. Comfortably.
Drop your ball count by one and add the Oshawott to your PC.

As Tanya went to pick up her pokeball, she took a look over to Christopher. At first, things seemed to be as per usual. Christopher seemed to be more annoyed by the attack that the Oshawott used on him than anything else. A few minutes passed though and Christopher started to glow again. Grinning happily, Tanya watched as her pokemon evolved. It was becoming a sight she had gotten used to by now, but it was still a good thing for her.
When Chirstopher evolved however, the first thing he seemed to notice was his lack of arms. Looking incredulously at his body, his eyes expressed a shocked emotion that Tanya had not seen in the pokemon before. After the moment of shock though, he looked unsatisfactorily towards Tanya and let out a grumbling sound.
"I'm sure you'll get used to it." Tanya said hopefully, trying not to laugh at her pokemon's facial expressions. Letting out a sigh, Christopher slithered behind her as they headed back home.
