Drop It Like It's Hot (Sonia, Tanya; Mission)

Somebody had gone fiddling around without the proper preparation. Really and truly, losing their valuable equipment should have been a matter of course that would be unavoidable. Of course, were that the treatment that all matters were given, "missions", like the one the blonde had signed up for, would have been fewer and further between, she was sure. One's carelessness and idiocy was a means of an income for others. So, honestly? She had no complaints with fixing someone else's problems.
"Still." She murmured to herself. It was a lot of walking. And hiking. She didn't like unnecessary exertion. She sighed, then produced a ball. Out came an unnamed Shelgon, who was immediately used as a mount. The blonde, no longer having to walk, smiled to herself. "Up we go. To the top." She informed the dragon, who just obeyed. She was supposed to have partners for this, but, really? She couldn't be bothered to wait for them. In fact, thinking on it, had she brought more than the standard "six Pokemon" team, she probably could have done it herself. If she did a mission intended for three people by herself, would she have obtained three times the reward?
. . . it was worth looking into.
Either way, though it was slow, the young blonde was making her way up the mountain by means of Shelgon locomotion. If her teammates did come, they'd just have to come up on their own and meet her. And if they didn't come? She'd be looking for that increased reward. The blonde was already fixated on that idea. Yes, much investigation would be needed.
For this mission, though? She didn't expect too much trouble. Active Party: Flygon, Goodra, Typhlosion, Shelgon, Larvitar, Eevee (Surt)

Back to the mountain again. Not knowing where the rest of her team were, Tanya decided to make her way up the mountain. Realizing that she didn't have to walk, she decided to take full advantage of Christian, who was strong enough to support her weight up the mountain. The flames that normally were used for his mane were not there, making enough room for Tanya to sit comfortably upon as she made her way up the mountain. Now that she didn't have to walk, it made the journey much more pleasant than last time.
The person who left their stuff at the top of the mountain should've been more careful. Tanya knew how strong pokemon could be and how much damage they could do to people if they wanted to. She probably needed to be careful when dealing with a situation like this. While she didn't take all of her a-team, she took enough to feel comfortable with the situation she was getting herself in. The reward was nice though.
As she went up the mountain, she encountered a young girl riding a Shelgon. A nature dorm girl, she probably was one of her allies for the mission. "Hey!" Tanya called out, waving her hand and urging Christian to catch up to the girl. "My name's Tanya. Looks like we're doing this mission together, huh? What's your name?" She quickly asked, continuing to ride her Rapidash. She had seen her in classes, but she didn't really talk much. She did look pretty young, but she probably shouldn't make assumptions. If she's on this mission, her pokemon must be pretty powerful.
Pokemon Team: Dragalge, Lopunny, Rapidash, Golurk, Carvanha, Musharna

Sonia began to trek the volcano with little to no difficulty as she reached its base. Surely her teammates for the mission would be somewhere around here. If she climbed up a bit, maybe she would have a better time seeing? Looking around a bit, the girl spotted two other girls just a little ways off. One of the girls happened to be her breeding partner, Fi. The other girl was someone she didn't know and seemed a bit older than her. Fi! Girl I don't know! She toddled over to them while calling for their attention. Though, she had half the mind to believe that one of them would probably continue climbing the mountain without waiting. Naturally, that would refer to the one that had a habit of kicking her. Hopefully this other girl was nice enuh to wait though.
Gaha~ I caught up. I'm here for the mission too. The girl was breathing a bit heavily considering that she just ran over to the others in order to reach them. Not that she was even close to being tired. Easy Peesy. After saying that, the girl realized she kind of needed to go pee. Well, she could hold it. Hopefully. No, she could. Definitely. Probably. Speaking of holding, the girl tried to recount which Pokemon she brought along. As she recalled, she picked them at random today since she couldn't decide. Oh well. Team: Aggron, Breloom, Volcarona, Pupitar, Eelektrik, Crocnaw

As you climb up the volcano, you begin to realize that volcanoes are just mountains that spew hot liquid everywhere. That, and they are really big considering how far away you are from the top. Like, seriously. Anyway, you climb for a good while without any problems, likely because you are in a group and are less vulnerable to being swarmed by wild Pokemon. As you do, the temperature begins to rise quite a bit as you head for the peak. Oh, also I lied about Pokemon trying to attack you. You get attacked instantly; good job. Try being more intimidating than a group of underage girls, more than half of which could probably be convinced that sucking on a hot dog will make them taller. Ability: Rock head Gender: Male • Rock Blast • Earthquake • Stone Edge • Megahorn Ability: Flame Body Gender: Female • Fire Blast • Sunny Day • Lava Plume • Confuse Ray Ability: Guts Gender: Female • Flare Blitz • Smog • Last Resort • Scary Face

Really, the ride atop the Shelgon was pleasant enough, all things considered. No need to waste energy. And it was slow enough that she could enjoy the exceedingly bland and otherwise uninteresting scenery. What a bonus. Unfortunately, her near-neutral ride up the mountain was taking a turn into the negatives when one of her teammates did appear. The girl seemed to be older. Or, at the very least, her relative size suggested as much. More importantly, though? She was noisy. Already appearing and giving names and acting friendly. This person was annoying. Did she think that simply because Adolfina was small that everything would be rainbows and flowers?
”Look, I'm not here for-” What was going to be a cold dismissal of Tanya's otherwise warm and friendly introduction was cut off, discarded, and forgotten when a little freak of a crazy person had appeared. It was rude, but that was the best way to classify Strugatskaya. Even if she was a business partner. However, more importantly than the fact that the girl had appeared, there was something important about the girl's greeting. “Fi”. All this time, that had been interpreted at a greeting- some foreign culture's sound of a greeting. However, instead of a proper split of greetings between her and Adolfina, and her and Tanya, there was “Fi” and “Girl I don't know”. In other words, "Fi" was somehow referring to herself. Puzzle blocks clicked together.
”You again. I think we need to have a discussion regarding that sound you're fond of.” She had already forgotten Tanya's presence, at least for the time being. However, that second social cue had been interrupted by yet another party. That whole time, her Shelgon had not stopped. As a result, it seemed that they had trespassed into the territory of some wild Pokemon. Three things appeared. The Flareon caught her eye, but there was no way to verify its gender. Moreover, she was not looking to capture anything yet. Instead, she was more worried about which would be the easiest target to take down with one of her weaker Pokemon. Eventually, her eyes landed on the Magmar.
”I'll take care of this one, the Magmar. Do what you will with the other two.” Simple, to the point, and detached. Adolfina had already shifted gears to business. She sent out Triglav, her Larvitar. Being Rock, he resisted Fire. On top of that, he was also Ground, and knew Earthquake, which Fire-types were weak to. In other words, the match-up had already determined the victor. ”Triglav, Earthquake!” With a forceful clap of his hands, the Larvitar prepped himself before slapping the ground and creating a violent earthquake! The tremors devastated the Magmar, but didn't quite do it in. In return, the Magmar created a field of intense sunlight. Besides annoying the blonde, it did very little. This engagement would be over before the opponent would have a chance to take advantage of the fire-boost.
”Don't hold back. Finish it. Triglav, Earthquake!” A second violent tremor from the small larval Pokemon caused the ground to shake and utterly wreck the Magmar! Its knees buckled. It fell forward. Then its upper body fell bowards. The Magmar was out cold.

It seemed like their final teammate wasn't too far behind. Judging from how the girl reacted to her greeting, she didn't seem the type to like socializing. She sort of felt bad that a girl like her so young had a jaded personality. Meanwhile, the other girl seemed to make up for the other girl's lack of energy, since the two of them seemed to know each other pretty well, Tanya decided not to interfere with the conversation.
As they walked up the mountain though, the encountered some pokemon. The first girl called out that she was going for the Magmar. "Flareon is mine!" Tanya called out, holding a pokeball in her hands and throwing it out. "Nicholai! Attack the Flareon with Waterfall!" Tanya commanded, releasing her Carvanha. Shooting out a stream of water, Nicholai swam on top of it, gathering up the stream behind him as he collided with the Flareon.
Knocked back by the attack, the Flareon hissed at the Carvanha and then tried to intimidate him with a scary look. While this made Nicholai hesitant to attack, Tanya felt that Nicholai would be able to push through it. "Use Waterfall one more time!" Tanya ordered, the Carvanha once again shooting out a stream of water and then swimming on it to collide with the other pokemon. The attack caused Flareon to be knocked back by the attack, eventually knocking out the pokemon.
"You two alright?"" Tanya asked the others, returning Nicholai to his pokeball.

Diss cuss? About a sound? Sonia wasn't sure what Fi was referring to. Perhaps it was something in relation to their buisness? That was probably it. Yet, before the girl could answer, she noticed that the three of them were under attack. I've got the Rhydon then. Nestor, Hydro Pump! Sending out her super-powered Croconaw, the girl ordered for a water attack to be used. She knew how effective it would be on this type of Pokemon. With a single blast of water from her Pokemon, the wild Pokemon was sent back where it crashed into the ground. Nestor quacked in apathy after the deed was done. All done! Up the mountain we go. With one quick battle, the girl simply began to totter up the mountain once more. Perhaps she just wanted to get the mission done quickly? That, or she just really wanted to climb the volcano some more. It could have been either one really.

After dealing with those mean Pokemon that attacked you, your group heads up the mountain a bit more. You can see many more things as you proceed. Mostly rocks and lava. But you totally never saw those rocks before; or those new Pokemon for that matter. Perhaps you painted a target on yourself for coming here? Probably. Anyway, deal with these guys so you can continue up the mountain. Ability: Magnet Pull Gender: Male • Power Gem • Earth Power • Stone Edge • Discharge Ability: Magma Armor Gender: Female • Earth Power • Lava Plume • Eruption • Fissure Ability: Flash Fire Gender: Male • Flamethrower • Crunch • Nasty Plot • Roar Ability: Iron Fist Gender: Male • Flare Blitz • Slack Off • Acrobatics • Mach Punch Ability: Blaze Gender: Female • Sky Uppercut • Mirror Move • Slash • Flare Blitz Ability: Rock Head Gender: Male • Stone Edge • Earthquake • Double-Edge • Smack Down

Adolfina clicked her tongue after the engagement. Tanya was showing concern, and Strugatskaya was heading on up the path. Her train of thought was mildly disrupted due to the fight, and with everyone spewing their noise into the airwaves, there was little point in bothering with her points anymore. At least, for the time being. She would certainly be having a few choice words with her business partner later, though. The other, Tanya, though? It probably wasn't worth the effort. What were the chances they would both be in a private setting on their own again? Small.
”I'm fine.” She opted to answer her to prevent pestering. Of course, a little further up, and more problems appeared. The mountain seemed like a good place to encounter some Pokemon, if the crew was anything to go by. Six Pokemon appeared. However, she found herself singling two of them out, specifically. Once again, she chose her opponents. ”I'll handle the metal mustache and the camel.” She noted before sending out just one Pokemon- her Eevee. Why? Well, the other intended battler was already out. She'd weaken the enemies, then wipe them out with one of her stronger Pokemon.
”Use Crunch on the rock. Surt, Bite the camel!” Despite the fact that the girl was, in fact, still riding the Shelgon, she ordered it into battle. The Shelgon, with speed unseen prior, charged at the Probopass before chomping onto its body. Meanwhile, the Eevee bit the Camerupt. While neither attack was terribly powerful, they both served their purpose. The two enemies focused on the Eevee, unleashing a double blast of seismic energy. She replaced the injured Surt with her Flygon, Limos. Meanwhile, she ushered the nameless Shelgon back and “out” of the battle.
”Finish it, Limos. Earthquake.” With a buzz, the insect-like dragon fluttered up, then slammed her body onto the ground, creating a tremor! The shaking dealt severe damage to the Rock-Steel and heavy damage to the camel. Both fell. Her engagement was complete.

One of girls ignored her while the other gave a curt reply. Maybe she shouldn't waste her breath asking questions like that. It seemed that the two of them were more than capable of handling the opponents themselves. She didn't want to dwell on the issue too much though as she continued up the mountain, wondering how long the mission would take. At the pace they were going, it seemed that it could end pretty quickly.
Just as she was thinking that though, more pokemon came out. While the serious girl had already called out the pokemon she was going for, she looked at the pokemon that appeared and had chosen her two targets. "I'll take the Combusken and Monferno!" Tanya shouted, moreso that the other girls could hear than any sense of danger. Getting out two pokeballs, Tanya released them to reveal Dani, her Dragalge, and Daniella, her Musharna. "Dani, attack with Surf! Daniella, Dazzling Gleam!"
Jumping into action, Dani stood still and started to shake, calling upon a large wave to appear behind her and crash down on her opponents and Daniella. The Musharna was comfortably able to take the hit, looking at her opponents as she started to shine. The intensity of the light got brighter until eventually Daniella let out a cry, shooting out an intense flash of light at both the Combusken and the Monferno. The intensity of the attacks combined was too much for the two pokemon, who proceeded to lose their energy and faint.
She quickly went to check on the others, hoping that they were able to finish their fights just as fast as she did.

As the group continued up the mountain just a bit more, they were attacked by an even bigger horde of enemies. Just what they needed. Before she could call her targets, it seemed that the other two had already decided on theirs. That left her with. . . a rock and a not very furry dog. Belka, Loki, get in there! The girl sent out two Pokemon two fight off the other two. The girl had used this combo during a mission because of the combo attack it was capable of. Loki use Discharge! Belka, Earthquake! The two Pokemon attacked, both managing to avoid friendly fire thanks to certain typing and abilities. Certainly, that fight had provided for an excellent bit of training for her. With those two attacks together, but being quite effective, the girl manage to knock out both Pokemon in the matter of one turn. Nice job guys. Onward! And just like that, the girl chose to continue marching ahead. Was this some sort of parade to her?

Yet again, you put those mean Pokemon in their place allowing you to continue up the volcano. As you progress, the volcano is clearly getting steeper as it becomes harder for you to continue up. Not only that, the heat is becoming so prominent that it is beginning to hurt your eyes a bit. Thankfully, you managed to reach the peak within a decent amount of time for being on foot. Off to the side, you spot the area where the man who employed you set his stuff up along with everything he had! It looks like its time to grab that and be on your way. But of course, things are never that simple, are they? As you look ahead, you see something soar over you before coming back around and landing in front of you. Dragons? Okay. There seems to be even more Fire Pokemon this time as well. Ability: Moxie Gender: Male • Fly • Zen Headbutt • Crunch • Double-Edge Ability: Flash Fire Gender: Female • Eruption • Roll-Out • Double-Edge • Flamethrower Ability: Solar Power Gender: Male • Air Slash • Flare Blitz • Inferno • Slash Ability: Gale Winds Gender: Male • Brave Bird • Flare Blitz • Steel Wing • Roost Ability: Mold Breaker Gender: Male • Outrage • Guillotine • Swords Dance • Dragon Claw Ability: Levitate Gender: Male • Hyper Voice • Dragon Pulse • Crunch • Outrage

”I'll take the flying dragons.” Adolfina declared with a note of pride in her voice. Then, she sent out two balls. Out came Limos again, as well as Felix, her Goodra. She had a lot of dragons, considering she was in the Nature dorm, which had the natural “predator” of dragons. The girl, visibly annoyed by the heat, was at least able to view the battle with a good mood. After all, she was about to face off against two of the more noteworthy dragons at the same time. Naturally, they would fall.
”Limos, use U-turn on the Hydreigon. Felix, follow up with Blizzard!” The oversized dragonfly buzzed and assaulted the Dark-Dragon. While it was a heavy blow, it wasn't enough to do the dragon in. It'd likely take another two to finish it off. However, that was more an equalizer than anything. The dragonfly had already returned to its ball as the Goodra followed up with Blizzard. The severe cold did the Salamence in with one shot. As for the Hydreigon, which was weakened by the U-turn, it also went down. The girl's chest was aflutter. With a flick of her wrist, she sent a ball out at the Salamence. Even if she was raising a Shelgon, a ready flyer was good. Plus, they might have even been of opposing genders. That'd be a two-for-one special, there.
”Wait. What are you doing.” The blonde's first words were as calm as could be. However, as the Goodra drew closer and tried to hug her, she squeaked and rolled off the back of her Shelgon. Nope! Nope, nope, nope.

"Haxorus and Typhlosion are mine!" Tanya called out hastily, Dani to her left and Daniella to her right. She felt a mixture of excitement and fear, mostly due to how powerful their opponents were. This was really going to be a test of skill, as a few wrong moves on her part could easily spell the end of her pokemon. Knowing that, she had to make each of her moves count.
"Daniella! Hypnosis on the Typholsion! Dani, Dragon Pulse on Haxorus!" Tanya ordered, making sure that her pokemon were listening to her instructions. Daniella made eye contact with the Typhlosion and sent out yellow rings of psychic energy, causing the fire pokemon to fall into a deep sleep. On the other hand, Dani shot out a pulse of blue energy that flew in the air and collided with the Haxorus, causing him to fly backwards and fall to the floor.
Pushing himself up though, the Haxorus started to grow red and launched himself at Dani. "Dani! Intercept the attack and protect yourself with Protect!" Tanya quickly shouted, the Musharna drifting in front of Dani and erecting a gigantic green circular shield in front of her. While the Haxorus pathetically tried to punch and kick his way through the shield, it proved to be too strong. While this was all happening, the Typholison stayed asleep, unaware of the intense battle going on.
"Finish off the Haxorus with another Dragon Pulse Dani!" Tanya commanded, her pokemon nodding towards her as she shot out another pulse of blue energy at the Haxorus. While the Haxorus did get launched backwards and fell to the floor, this time he didn't get up. The Typhlosion was once again still asleep, put out of action temporarily by Daniella.
"Dani, Scald the Typhlosion. Daniella, Dream Eater." Tanya stated, knowing that the battle had been won. Dani lifted her head backwards before shooting out burning hot liquid at the Typhlosion. Meanwhile, Daniella had drifted to be on top of the Typhlosion and then surrounded the pokemon with her dream mist, the mist entering his ear from one side and then coming out of the other, which Dani promptly began to eat. The Typhlosion could only let out a cry as the attacks hit him, eventually fainting due to the amount of damage inflicted on him.
Letting out a sigh of relief, Tanya got out one of her academy balls and threw it at the Haxorus, making sure she caught the Dragon pokemon. "Awesome job team." Tanya said to Dani and Daniella, making sure to release Nicholai to make sure he heard as well. Dani nodded her head and smiled softly while Daniella spun happily in the air. Nicholai cheerfully smiled at Tanya as well, Tanya patting the Carvanha on the head. She made sure she didn't pat him too harshly though as she didn't want to be on the business end of his rough skin.

Once again, Sonia was left with the other two Pokemon for this round. She really didn't care which ones she was given to fight. She knew how to take them all done. Though, the two Pokemon left for her couldn't have been easier to finish off. Two fire flying types. These were always Sonia's favorites; for all the wrong reasons. She sent out two Pokemon despite having a few more that were more powerful. But instead, she chose these specifically. Time to give these guys our golden shower! Strelka, Belka, shower these guys in rocks! Sonia felt really cool for saying that line. She thought of it all by herself too! Her father would be proud.
Strelka charged at the Charizard and grabbed it before smashing it with its head. If there was such a thing as overkill, this was it. As for the bird, Belka simply showered it with rocks as told. Given Belka's type and the enemy's weakness, it was another case of overkill. Even if it wasn't on the same level as Strelka's. And with that, the girl's two opponents were finished off. However, the girl didn't really like the two Pokemon she had taken down and didn't want to return from this mission empty-handed. Looking over to Fi's pile, the girl saw a sizable dragon Pokemon. Perfect. Thaaanks, partner. Running up to her partner and giving her a big squeezing hug, even managing to pick the other girl off her feet for a moment, the girl helped herself to that downed dragon. Clearly Fi wouldn't mind after seeing how grateful she was, right? No way that could go wrong. Tossing a ball at the dragon, the girl waited for it to go down before looking over at the equipment. I'll have Strelka carry all of this down for us for the return home. Now, let's head home guys! Truly, the girl was a ball of energy even in this awful heat.
