Argent was still in search of a flying friend. His last attempt was a bit unlucky, but he wasn't about to give up. He was only at the base of the mountain, but Argent knew he may have to go to great heights to find what he's looking for. Luckily he now had Jerry on his team. The little Pichu would be able to go against any flying types the team may come by. Argent took a deep breath and started to head up the mountain trail. Hopefully he was going to find what he was looking for. He could only trudge on to find out.

It wasn't soon after his ascent that Argent came into contact with a Pokemon. That is, he tripped over something he thought was a rock. Argent shook off the fall and looked up to see it was a Geodude. The boy was thoroughly surprised. He honestly thought it was a rock. The Geodude itself wasn't all to happy about the mistake. The rock type was emitting a low growl and was leering at the boy. Argent's eye widened, he needed to get out of there. Argent stumbled up and darted further up the mountain. After a decent amount of distance, and with his chest rather tight, he looked back to see the Geodude did not give chase. With a sigh of relief, Argent ascended further up the mountain.

Still a bit winded from the escape from the Geodude, Argent was noticing the decline in oxygen the higher he ascended. He was feeling a tad light headed, but it wasn't of too much concern though. It was the height that he was at which was cause for some concern. Heights weren't Argent's worst fear, but it's easy to let your mind slip into a worse case scenario kind of thinking. The boy was hugging the side of the trail where there was more ground to walk on. While attempting not to look down, Argent noticed something dash through the air. Upon closer inspection he found it to be a Fletchling. Argent was happy to fing a bird Pokemon, but it wasn't the right one for his team. He already had a fire type in Growlithe, and knowing that Fletchling evolves into a fire type made Argent think that catching this bird would be redundant in terms of typing. The red haired boy let the Fletchling sing and fly around. Breathing was officially getting difficult, so Argent decided after a little more walking that he would leave the mountain.

The air was terribly thin by now, and Argent decided to turn back. It almost wasn't worth the trouble at this point. Perhaps he would see a Pokemon on the way down. Sadly, Argent's wish came true. There was a Throh a little further down the trail that was approaching the boy. It seemed intent to fight. Argent was getting pretty nervous, so he preemptively summoned Reginald. The Growlithe leered and snarled at the Throh. For a moment, the throh hesitated due to the intimidation, but soon started to approach again. Argent was getting anxious. "Reginald, Flamethrower!" Reginald let out a column of flames upon the foe. It was a decent amount of damage, but it wasn't about to stop the Throh. The red Pokemon closed the space in between it and Reginald, took hold of him, and threw the dog at the wall of the mountain. It seemed to be a taxing move on the Throh's part, but seemed to knock out poor Reginald. Argent gasped and was on the verge of tears for his pooch. "Reginald...please return. Jerry, don't let me down!" Argent figured Lady could not due much and Colonel was at a type disadvantage, so the wee mouse seemed like the only option. "Sweet Kiss!" The small mouse leaped quickly towards the Throh's face and landed a big kiss on its cheek. The big lummox of a Pokemon teetered to and fro. It attempted another attack, but it tripped and slammed it's face on the ground. "Quickly! Thunder Wave!" The Pichu emitted an electric pulse on the toppled over Throh. The Throh tried to stand, but it couldn't move. Though it seemed then when it was paralyzed it seemed...stronger? "Jerry, use Nasty Plot!" The Pichu smirked and deviously thought of ways to defeat the opponent. The foe was able to stand this time, but punched itself in the face. Argent snickered a bit at that. "Alright Jerry! Finish this off with a Thunder Shock!" Jerry made a battle cry and unleashed a rather large amount of electricity. A normal Thunder Shock wouldn't have done the job, but with the help of Nasty Plot, it worked. The Throh wailed in pain and doubled over, knocked out. "Great job my little Jerry! Come 'ere!" The Pichu smiled wide and hopped into Argent's arms. The battle went a lot better than expected, but poor Reginald was hurt badly. "Let's go. We gotta get Reginald healed up." The mouse nodded with approval. The two descended the mountain.
