(Mission) Disturbing My Rest

Amanda paced down the hallway of the breeding center labs, peeking her head through the odd doorway. The mission board had specified something bothering people in the area, and seeing fit to earn some pocket money: Amanda had volunteered. Unfortunately, the initial search of the area had yielded no results, whatever seemed to be haunting the hallways: it hid well.
With a heavy sigh: Amanda motioned to the small Mudkip following her, her pace quickening as she headed back into the lobby. It would have been nice to finish this quickly: but perhaps she needed to wait. Regardless: she knew that she needed to wait for her partner to arrive before doing anything.
She took a seat, allowing her Pokemon to jump into her lap. She would wait, then try again later. Hopefully, she might find something with another person helping her.

Amanda nodded as, who she assumed to be her partner: entered the room. Standing up, she smiled politely: Muddy quickly jumping down to stand at her side.
''Bonsoir! I am Amanda, it is a pleasure to meet you.'' She nodded, extending her hand. ''I assume you are my partner for the mission, oui?''
Taking a moment, she looked over the young boy. He seemed nice, cute even. Although she had no idea what sort of Pokemon he had, she did hope he had some idea on how to progress with the mission.
''I hope you do not mind...'' She began: ''but I spent some time investigating the halls. I don't think there is anything around here en ce moment, perhaps you could aid me?''

The two of you head into the lab, noting the various equipment the breeding center likely uses. Alongside that, you see various desks with papers, computers, and even a few storage cabinets. In fact, one of the storage cabinets seems to be rustling around a bit. Something is clearly inside. Yet, before you do, someone, or something, shuts off the lights and opens the window to the outside before slipping away! It is likely that they are the ones you are after. But before you can deal with them, you have to deal what seems to just popped out of the cabinet, and turn the lights back on, naturally. Nodding, Amanda turned her attention to the Phanpy before her. William was right, after all: the Steel-Grass typing of Ferroseed could potentially bring up a few dangerous moves against Mudkip. That was something she would rather avoid. Carefully withdrawing her Pokedex, a few taps on the screen brought up the needed information for battle, the scanned health of both Muddy and Phanpy were full, as were all the moves fully charged. It was a fair fight, anyways. With a slight gesture, the Mudkip moved towards his opponent. VS The Phanpy meanwhile, was spooked. Being released from his cabinet and faced with strangers, the Pokemon had defaulted to a panicked fighting stance. Amanda had no desire to harm the little thing, however, and glanced at her servant with a serious expression. ''Be careful Muddy, he's just scared: we don't want to harm him: just get him back into the cabinet.'' The Pokemon nodded, focusing on on the Phanpy for a moment before releasing a powerful burst of water (Hydro Pump). The Ground-Type barely had time to curl itself into a defensive posture Defense Curl as the torrent hit it. Throwing it back into the wall, the Long Nose Pokemon let out a squeal of discomfort. Amanda sighed: ''Ce n'est pas ce que je voulais dire par prudence!''Rolling his eyes: Muddy jumped towards the Phanpy, slamming his entire weight into it Take Down. With another squeal, the Phanpy growled, disorientated, he attempted to retaliate with a blow of its own: slamming Double Edge into the Mudkip. While Muddy was knocked back, the force of the blow hurt the untrained Phanpy just as much, and seeing an opportunity: Muddy unleashed another torrent of water Hydro Pump. ''Enough!''Muddy halted, looking back to see a very cross-looking trainer walking towards him. Gingerly, Amanda picked up the wounded Phanpy, the indicative health bar on her Pokedex having turned from a bright green to a flashing red. Carefully placing the Ground-Type into his bed in the cabinet, she turned and raised a Pokeball towards the Mudkip: recalling him. ''That's enough out of you for now...'' she signed, looking towards her partner to see how he fared.

With the two Pokemon defeated, you decided to follow the mysterious figures through the window towards wherever they are heading. It isn't hard to catch up to them, apparently. Upon arriving and cornering said Pokemon, they looked terrified of you. Seems they have no issues with fighting though! NOTE: These Pokemon are un-catchable! Amanda rolled her eyes, moderately annoyed with her partner taking the lead like so. Perhaps she wanted to battle something other than the Igglybuff. She didn't, of course: her mood still soured towards her Mudkip: she only had one Pokemon to fall back on if this failed. The trainer delicately brought her Pokedex up, a gentle click on the Pokeball in her had releasing her second battler for the day: Baron Shabboneau. (Ability: Pickup) vs ''Remember Shabboneau!'' She noted: ' 'C'est une enfant, we don't want to hurt her too much, just enough to keep her from making any trouble.''
Sleepily, the Muchlax nodded, only to have his trainer sigh in dissatisfaction. Her Pokemon still were not listening to her as alertly as she had hoped. Beyond that, she was worried about the match-up. Munchlax were lazy Pokemon as it were, and she didn't want anything particularly susceptible to Sing. Cute charm was no particular benefit either: she needed to end the battle quickly. ''Bien, Shabboneau: focus seul on attacking! Use Rollout!'' With a sleepy grunt, the Muchlax charged the startled Igglybuff, clunky footsteps giving way to a continuous somersault as he slammed into her (Rollout). The attack landed, pushing the Igglybuff a few steps back with it's initial velocity. Angry: the Igglybuff charged in turn: trying to punch and kick the rolling ball, yet to little avail (Pound). As he picked up momentum, Munchlax slammed into the Igglybuff yet again: dealing even more damage (Rollout). At this rate: Amanda reasoned, the battle was soon finished. Not only was Igglybuff irritated enough that it had forgone singing for trying to physically match the admittedly clunky Munchlax. But the constant spinning distracted the Munchlax enough from any cute charms the Balloon Pokemon would have thrown at him. Munchlax continued to slam with growing velocity into the increasingly angered and weak Pokemon, unable to match him in strength, and unable to successfully charm him: Igglybuff soon went down, fainting from the effort. Amanda smiled and clapped, reasonably happy at the successful victory. Picking up the extremely dizzy Shabboneau: she giggled as she hugged her Pokemon tightly. ''Bravo!''

The three little Pokemon were utterly defeated by your teams! How unfortunate. Though, just as soon as you seem to make them go down, they get up and begin making quite a bit of noise! Many wild Pokemon begin rustling around you from the noise. A moment later, the three of them escape into the woods. Hopefully they're gone for good. More importantly, you have trouble. Amanda scoffed quietly, turning to the angry-looking Pinsir. ''I wanted to fight the Scyther...'' she thought, rummaging through her purse for the correct Pokeball. It wasn't that she would say it out loud, not at all: a lady would never behave like that. Releasing her final Pokemon, she bit her lower lip thoughtfully. Even if she couldn't fight and capture the Scyther, the Pinsir was still advancing and needed to be dealt with. VS Amanda analyzed the statistics showing on her Pokedex: this fight was not ideal. Due to it's Bug-Typing, the Pinsir was resistant to anything her Makuhita could throw at him. At the same time, she wasn't willing to risk battling with Muddy or Shabboneau yet again. Neither of them had time to recover from their previous fights: and she wouldn't pit Pokemon that young against a vicious bug. Indeed, the Pinsir was not a pleasant Pokemon, and in brief moment Amanda wasted trying to conceive a strategy: she rushed towards the Makuhita: pincers snapping forcefully. Grabbing the Shiny: it tossed him against the building (Vital Throw). Angrily, the Makuhita lunged at the Pinsir in turn: slamming his weight into the bug, pinning it to the ground (Heavy Slam). Amanda worriedly took a step back: watching helplessly as the two Pokemon exchanged blows. The Pinsir would force Fisto into a tight hold (Vice Grip), only for the Makuhita to reverse the grip and land a solid blow (Reversal). Then the Pinsir would throw the Makuhita off (Storm Throw), yet the Fighting-Type would slam into the Bug yet again (Heavy Slam). Blow after blow, round after round: all Amanda could do was tremble as she backed against the building. She had witnessed plenty of Pokemon conflict before that: trainers battling trainers, ritual matches at the Chateau driven by honor and tradition. This was none of those things. The Pinsir was vicious: genuinely trying to harm both trainer and her Pokemon. Fisto, normally happy to fight: showed none of his usual spirit or charm as he struggled to hold his own. With fury: the Pinsir vengefully drove her claw into the other Pokemon (Revenge); eliciting a cry of pain from the Shiny as he endured the potentially ending blow (Endure). With a force strengthened by his resolve: Fisto drove his elbow into the Pinsir: sending her flying (Reversal). Quickly turning his attention to his trainer; the Makuhita let out a signalling screech: snapping Amanda out of her frozen state. She panicked, reaching into her purse and tossing the first thing she grasped at the Pinsir: an empty Pokeball. The device quickly opened, encapsulating the the Bug. Amanda watched in terror as the ball shook. Her Pokedex ringing in her ear. Signalling the low HP of both Pokemon.

After defeating the enemies that appeared following the baby Pokemon's escape, it would seem that your targets have escaped! You can only assume that they were the culprits that you were sent to nab and head back, claiming your reward. From there, everything seemed to calm down in the breeding center. At least. . . for a time. Mission accomplished! You received your reward: 500 Credits, TM (Dazzling Gleam)

Amanda quietly picked up the used Pokeball, holding it in her hands fearfully as she sat on the ground. Not even considering that her clothes would get dirty anymore. All she could do was stare: knowing that the vicious Pokemon that had but moments ago attempted to kill her Makuhita, was now encapsulated and under her control. Yet, the thought did not bring with it the pleasure she wished it out. She felt afraid; she felt like the murderous insect was watching her from the ball. Wiping her face with her sleeve, it was all the young girl could do not to break down crying.
Instead, she turned to her Makuhita, slowly moving towards the injured Pokemon. As she drew near: Amanda let out a gasp. Although she hadn't seen it before, it seemed that the battle had taken a greater toll on Fisto than it had shown. On the Fighting-Types left side was a long bloody gash, likely sustained from repeated pressure from the Bug's pincers.
Wordlessly. Amanda recalled her Shiny. Cradling his Pokeball as she ran off. Leaving William and his team.
She had to get to a healing center. Fast.
