"Well, it's rare that the average Mana Dormer would have the power to communicate with Psychic Pokemon or the ability to read minds. I haven't seen anyone who has the power to read minds yet." And yet, there was someone who had some crazy talent of reading the minds of people and there would usually be ridicule. Lucius looked over to where the two Ralts were chatting with one another and it seemed as if Hans was communicating more with Minerva, something that she hadn't seen since he had been shy. Come to think of it, she did have some kind of uncanny ability to read minds somehow, but it was only skeptical. Maybe it was an educated guess, the kind that people usually make when they could've thought of the same thing. Either way, all those Mana Dormers seemed pretty normal to her.

Reading minds? Communicate with Psychic pokemon? "Communicate? As in talking?" She asked. She wasn't sure how to feel on that. One side it felt creepy, on the other side it did seem a really cool ability. so it really was weird but it did sound cool. "That sounds cool, if somewhat strange." She summarized her opinion. She wondered why someone would have such a power? Would they learn it through immense study? Be born with it? Just by simple luck? It was all so confusing, and she could see that Faust found it confusing as well, it seems it had been following the conversation. She stroke him some more to confirm that they thought the same.

The girl seemed to be curious about those mysterious powers that some Mana Dormers had. "Sort of. Except, it's telepathy that allows the user to send some thoughts without talking out loud. I guess most Psychic Pokemon are capable of doing that." Hans seemed to be listening to the conversation, but also kept himself busy with talking to his fellow Ralts. She could tell that Lucius was getting bored, but kept his attention on the conversation. "It's a unique ability, but also has a risk for ridicule." Perhaps, when Hans evolved into a Gardevoir, he might be linked to his trainer telepathically and would have a strong psychic link. If that was true, he must've had a sense of loyalty towards her already.

Thoughts? Like talking with thoughts? And psychic pokemon could do that? Wait... did that mean that Ralts possessed that ability as well? This was getting stranger by the minute. Maybe it was best for both Mio as for the mana dormers that this topic was dropped. She thought for a bit, then maybe she could ask where certain types were common. "Where do you usually train your pokemon?" She eventually end up asking as she couldn't get up with a certain type. She might try just travel on the island and capture whatever she meets. It wasn't like she preferred on type above others., and if the other girl had an evolved pokemon it was very likely done so by a lot of training. If she could learn better ways to train in this area that could be a great help. She had literally no idea how to train here, or where to start. Then she started to think... Maybe she could ask for a certain type. "hmm... This might sound strange but where do you think Dark types appear a lot? I kinda... try to avoid them most of the time." She asked not really sounding very enthusiast at the later part.

"I usually train them in any place that I can travel to, mostly the restricted areas or the areas around my dorm." The restricted areas provided a range of Pokemon for her interests and the areas around her dorm had good training fodder as long as she had what wild Pokemon she had in mind for catching. The other areas had some interesting Pokemon, but she only caught what she saw in her home region. Particularly, she had some Pokemon that came from Hoenn and she had fewer Pokemon that came from Johto. Perhaps, she might need to go to other areas and see what kind of Pokemon should pique her interest. The other girl brought up the topic of Dark type Pokemon and where they were usually located. "Dark type Pokemon tend to live where the Mana Dorm is, I guess. They're usually seen in other areas too, but there's an abundance of them in the areas of the Mana Dorm. Why do you feel the need to avoid them though?"

So maybe she should keep it to areas around her dorm? That actually made a lot of sense. Her pokemon would most likely fit to the pokemon around her dorm. "And if you want to catch one... I guess it would depend on what you want to catch right?" She guessed. Till now she hadn't caught any pokemon yet, but she had feeling she wouldn't find any insects in a vulcano, unless that insect had some kind of fire type or protection. Alice then asked why Mio wanted to stay away from dark types. "Well, dark types tend to give me creeps, for some reason." She told the other girl. She had no idea why herself. But it has always been that way, she can't remember some kind incident that caused it at least.

"Yeah, it depends on what you want to catch if you have a Pokemon in mind." She preferred the areas of the Mana Dorm above anything else, but she did have to go to other areas to catch some different Pokemon. She was kind of glad that she found Hans in the Zodiac Ruins which proved to be easier to find compared to Mother Edea's Forest where numerous Pokemon made their homes and was harder to find there. She had considered finding a Phantump in the forest, but a student had given her a Trevenant which was the easier route. All she had to do was to find a Gourgeist in one of the restricted areas since the forest would likely not give her a Pumpkaboo as this rate. And Mio had told her the reason why she didn't like Dark types and it was because they were creeps which also had the same reaction as ghosts. "I have a few Dark type Pokemon, but I do respect your opinion. They can be a little creepy, but they are kind of pranksters too."

She didn't knew where she would start to catch some new pokémon, but it most likely would be on nature ground. Maybe she should find something to fight a steel type with? Her entire team as it was now would have trouble breaking through the average steel type high defenses. Perhaps a fire or ground type? "I guess fire types tend to live in hot places. How about ground types? She asked the other girl? Maybe in caves? Or really underground? If so how should she get there? Dig the entire way? She didn't knew if she could bring up the zeal to do that. When she heard Alice talking about her preference of dark types Mio could facepalm, luckily she withheld herself from doing so. "No... That's not it. If I see a Purrloin in a picture book for example. I find it a cute little creature, but when I actually meet one for real I find it creepy." She explained. It wasn't that she hated dark types because of their type, but more because they so scared her so unnaturally.

"I think the best place you can find Ground type Pokemon is at the dunes. Most of them live over there." She didn't go to the desert, but she did know that an abundance of Ground types lived there including Sekhmet's pre-evolution. Still, a Vibrava in the Obsidian Krag sounded strange as Vibrava were usually in the Dragon's Den. And Ground types were also found in some other places near the Lava Dorm. She did have two Fire types on hand already which was good, but maybe more firepower should be handy if she were to encounter those Mawile from the last mission again. Mio began to explain why she found Dark types creepy and she also said that she didn't really dislike them. "I guess I can understand that. I don't like certain Dark types, but sometimes I just had to go with it."

Yes, that did make sense, but maybe there were other locations, she didn't like very hot places like that much. Now what were other good types too look out for? Maybe a water type? She bet she could find those near water, in a lake or at the ocean. Then another type? Fire types? She saw an inactive vulcano she she bet there would be there? Ghost types? that would be tricky, as in her mind many ghost types lived in same places at the same times as dark types. "Do you have any suggestion where I could find ghost types without running into to many dark types?" She asked. This was probably a harder question then the others, but it would be very helpful if she could go to find some ghost types without bothering to run into a poochyena around every corner.

Was there even a way to avoid Dark type Pokemon entirely while searching for Ghost Pokemon? The areas around the Mana Dorm seem like a place teeming with Dark and Ghost types, so it wouldn't be a good idea unless you can avoid them without them seeing you. "I'm sure the areas around the Mana Dorms have Ghost Pokemon, but there's also Dark types there too. You can't really have some spirits without darkness either." Lucius seemed to be listening to the conversation as he had never been in the areas of the Mana Dorms before. Being a living tree of the forest did make him a little strange compared to the usual Ghost Pokemon that made their homes in the ruins or cemetery. It could be quite tricky to avoid all those Dark types that also coexisted with them, thus making the search for a certain one difficult.

Well, whens he put it like that it did make sense. Maybe she could avoid dark types, or run away when if she couldn't. Or... Maybe there was another way to get to ghost types. Anyway that puzzle would be one for later, she shouldn't bother Alice with something she can't help herself. Her tree like pokemon seemed to follow the conversation, while Faust was looking around at the tables to see if there was something he could eat. "I am sorry Faust, this food isn't for you." She said while petting him on his head. Hoping to stop him from going to another table and eat something from a strangers table. "Anyway, thanks for the help. Now I think of it, how long are you here at this academy?" Mio asked after thanking the other girl.

"I think I've been here for four months. It's probably been some time and my Pokemon had evolved since then." She was proud of all the Pokemon that she caught and evolved herself. The first Pokemon that she captured had bonded with her as well as the others that she had caught along the way. She'll probably have to embark on a quest to catch all those Pokemon, barring legendaries since it would be impossible to catch them. Nonetheless, that kind of task would be a pretty big project to pursue since it involved buying a lot of Academy Balls and searching high and low for every Pokemon. The rare Pokemon were a lot harder to find in the wild except for the restricted areas since she mostly frequented them for capturing some evolved Pokemon. Then again, it was easier to just catch any Pokemon that might fit her standards in a team.

Four months? Mio tried to think of herself in four months. Would she know that much in such a short amount of time? Would she have the same amount of pokemon by that time? Would she have a few pokemon have to evolve by then? She couldn't imagine it herself. What kind of pokemon should she go capture? There were so many places to go and so many possibilities. "Say, I am thinking to get some practice, would you like to join in?" She asked. Mio never had any kind of battle or group training before. Either way it would be something new to her, so it might feel a little strange now.

Sure. I'm always up for that." While battling with a student that possibly had only base forms was fun, it was also difficult to pinpoint what kind of weaknesses would the other team have. She actually learned the hard way when battling with a certain Lava Dormer and she regretted that she should've caught a Fairy type for it. Fairy type Pokemon were useful in defeating those Dragon types, but the opposing Dragon might have a way of weakening Fairies as well. Hans looked like he was chatting away with the female one and perhaps, it was time to say good-bye as it looked like the conversation was about to end. The next time they meet, practice might be a long way for any of her base form Pokemon to evolve somewhat. Evolving them was a way for them to get stronger.
