Sapphira was right in the middle of his morning beatification ritual when the announcement came on over the loudspeakers. Already the grousing would start as he tried his best to get through it quickly, there was no way he was going to the opening ceremony looking like a common tramp, oh no, he was going to look radiant and that was that. Of course perfection took a bit of time, and by the time he was ready he was just a bit late.
Rushing to the Auditorium fast enough to not be already later than he was while trying to keep his hair perfect proved to be a challenge, one that he completed but a challenge none the less. Stopping out side of the doors to catch his breath and do some last minute preening he would enter near the back and take a seat. Thankfully just as the Headmaster took the podium.
Inspecting his reflection in the polished floors the boy would only half listen, it seemed that Mr. Wright didn’t want to waste their time. Sapphira could respect that, though when a small box was placed in his hands he would quirk an eyebrow. Gifts? For just showing up? “Hmm?” He would look at the box before cracking it open, seeing the Credits along with the two Rare Candies would put a small smile on his lips. Well it seemed that it wasn’t such a bad reason to have to rush his morning time. Sitting up from his seat He would look around at the other students, not much to look at it seemed, none of them caught his eye.
As he would look around the room the boy wouldn’t notice the Fire Dormer slouching in his seat, Sapphira stumbling over the other boy’s feet as he tripped. Letting out a small gasp as he fell forward, Sapphira would whirl on the sleeping boy with a look of indignation on his face after he had righted him self from the stumble, smoothing his clothing out before tapping the boy on the shoulder, hard. “Excuse me but this isn’t really the place to be napping.” He hissed out, his eyes narrowing at the man who had caused him to stumble, disregarding the fact he wasn’t watching where he was going.

Angeletta pushed back her long trailing hair over her shoulder as she stepped into the auditorium for the mandatory opening ceremony after hearing the announcement over the PA system. She looked around her as student after student piled themselves into the area, some talking amongst themselves, others solitary in their actions. She was beginning to wonder just what kind of classmates she would be having and found herself to be rather perplexed at the thought of being able to converse with others her age or younger. The girl had been so used to with staying in a mansion all those years, holding conversations with her maids, nannies, Henri or members of her family if not other wealthy family that she felt was beginning to revel in this particular prospect.
Her thoughts were soon interrupted, however, when the headmaster whom she learned to be Bryce Wright from the flyer that Henri and her grandmother had given her, stood up to make his announcement. Standing behind the podium, Lettie listened intently to the words that the headmaster was giving them, feeling grateful to this man for creating this Pokemon academy and giving her a breath of some freedom from her caged life. As his final words echoed in her mind, the young Lady felt the similar determination she felt when she had left Camphrier Town rise within her again. Yes, she was definitely fixed on this particular goal, to prove to her family that she was able to take care of herself, that she was strong enough to do so.
Realizing that gifts were being passed out, Lettie received her welcome present from one of the many staff members who were passing them around. "Thank you" she gave them a polite curtsy followed by a smile, peering down at the present in wonder. A box slightly larger than her hand wrapped with a fanciful silk red ribbon, the teen held it to her ear and gave it a gentle shake, she heard its contents rattling inside and carefully placed it in the pocket of her skirt, deciding to open it once she reached her dorm room.
It appeared as though the moment they received their gifts, they were free to leave the auditorium. Her crystal blue gaze swept around, observing fellow students around her as some immediately left after obtaining their present while most lingered around to mingle with their fellow students and dorm members. Different shades of colors surrounded her from all angles, reds and oranges, blues and greens, pinks and blacks. Lettie glanced down at her own color, the purple school uniform she wore, the simple hue itself silently telling those around her that she was a girl from the Wave Dorm. Lettie wasn't particular sure if she should loiter around the auditorium or not before she could really think any further on the matter she witnessed a fellow Wave Dormer tripping over the feet of what appeared to be a slumbering Lava Dormer. She blinked, tilting her head to the side with a rather amused expression as the Wave Dormer proceeded to snap at the Lava Dormer though it was clear to Lettie that the Wave Dormer had simply not been paying attention to where he was going.
She stood up from her seat, once again flipping the long strands of hair over her shoulder. Maybe it was best to just return back to her dorm.

Crispin had managed to just barely make it to the Auditorium before the headmaster started his speech. Most of the seats were already full, which gave the student mixed feelings. On one hand it meant that there were plenty of people for him to surround himself with. On the other, it meant he would have to find a seat away from where most of the other people were. Quickly finding a seat as close to the other students as he could manage, he plopped down into it crossing his ankle on his knee.
Just as fast as he had taken a seat, the assembly seemed to be over. He blinked in surprise, tilting his head slightly as someone handed him a box. Now he was never one to look a gift Ponyta in the house, but even he couldn't help but balk in surprise. From what he had heard while they were researching schools, if there was one thing they loved to do it was flaunt how great they were. Hell, most of the packets they read had more 'Look what pointless things we did!' statistics than actual information about what they taught. Then again, that was part of the reason they chose this school, wasn't it?
Clicking his tongue slightly, he looked around. He said they were free to go, as was made example by the slew of people that left. There were plenty that stayed though, too. For now he remained one of them. It wouldn't take long for him to get antsy and skedaddle, but for the time being there were plenty of other students here for him to get the chance to talk to. Almost too many, though...
