The first time, Akira was oblivious to Karin checking her out while she changed. After that, she started notice it, but was too self-conscious to say or do anything about it. After all, she didn't particularly dislike the attention, though, her at-the-time low self-esteem left her wondering why Karin would even bother to look at someone as plain and uninteresting as her. As they grew closer, it bothered her less and less; now, it was at the point where she'd more surprised if Karin didn't check her out. She'd just roll her eyes at the lack of subtlety and continue on like nothing was happening.
Then came a question that she hadn't heard in quite a long time. It caused Akira to blush, especially when she remembered the implications of that very question. But, unlike before, she wasn't anywhere near as awkward about it. As such, she simply responded with a smile "Mine's closer, and I don't feel like walking all the way to yours."
