Is the past truely best forgotten? [Seria]

Seria sighed as she continued to look at the Ralts, though she listened to Chris' apology. She couldn't tell how sincere he was but she decided to accept it for what it was. Though she also couldn't help but retort with a side-comment of her own. "Ya, sure, it's not easy, but yeah, ya gotta try. Being all mopey and stuff like that isn't gonna make anyone else happier, and then you're gonna be all lonely. Unless you care about Pokemon more than other people." Seria said out loud without even looking at Chris' face. To be honest, she was now starting to appreciate a little more why Oleg seemed so annoyed at him.

Not because he was being cliche or dramatic or whatever, but because Chris just seemed too negative for her to handle. It took an immense amount of energy from her just to care. She became more interested in the ruins around her.

Well... her logic certainly made sense here, Causing Chris to frown somewhat, especially now that her attention appeared to be else where... congrats on messing it up again Chris... you really need to learn to not do that. "I know... and believe me I have tried, but it never really seems to work... which was what I meant before by the line 'it'd be a nice change of pace'..." Chris responded, making sure to keep his tone not cold in the slightest... being cold won't exactly help at this exact moment in time now will it?

Before Chris had a chance to speak again though, Midnight flew over to him as if to try and alert him to something she'd found... although it wasn't a pokemon, it was another good concentration of writing to try and translate. "Good work Midnight... that's a nice find" Chris said in an kind tone to his Murkrow, before turning his attention towards Seria again.

Seria was now kneeling, smiling as she looked at each of Chris' Pokemon. It took a while for her to finally notice Chris again, and only because the Murkrow flew over to him and alerted him to something interesting. Looked like more ruins writing. In any case, Seria stood up again and stretched, sighing. "I don't think you're trying hard enough mister. It's hard, sure, but we all gots to start somewhere. That's why I'm making my first steps here in the academy too. Nobody will take me and my dreams seriously. They all think I'm nuts. I wanna prove them wrong." Seria stated firmly and confidently. Actually, the whole reason why Seria was here to begin with was a ruse by her parents to get that belief that her dreams are impossible to become a reality. Yet Seria's encounter with the Mana Warden totally shattered that misconception.

Not trying hard enough... in a way, that probably is accurate, but her whole situation of everyone thinking she's insane about dreaming of meeting a legendary pokemon... I guess in that way I can actually relate to her, for better or for worse.

"do you really think I believe you're a nut just for having a dream? because if you do, you couldn't be more wrong to be completely honest... I guess in that kind of manner, everyone thinking something different to the truth... I can relate... everyone always thinks I'm the sad kid who would just cut himself on a bisharp in depression... I'm not like that... I, for one, do take your dream seriously, it is possible, and having something like that to work towards is something you shouldn't let anyone get you down over" Chris replied to Seria, with his tone showing that he clearly meant what he was actually saying.

Seria shrugged. "Never said you believed that, boy-o. Was just recounting my own experiences. You ain't alone in this, pal. I'm not gonna let some haters get me down, and you should do the same." Seria shrugged and started pacing across the ruins. "I'm gonna stick around here for a bit before I get outta here. If you still got things to talk about, ya better come and find me, before I leave you behind! Teehee." Seria giggled as she now started to playfully tease him, because honestly, she stood to gain nothing talking to him about the same stuff over and over again, and his mood just honestly got her down.

teasing? well, that's certainly new from Seria, not that Chris was complaining, especially since it didn't seem to be aggressive in nature like he was used to back in his child hood. "fair enough I suppose... although that is certainly refreshing to hear, the whole not alone thing I mean... and thanks for the advice..." Chris spoke, chuckling at the teasing, as if he didn't mind it, considering it wasn't aggressive or anything like that, it merely seemed more friendly, which chris had no issue with what so ever.

"if anything comes up i'll come find you, just give me a chance to catch up is all I ask" Chris added afterwards, his tone being rather kind.

Seria shrugged as her head was tilted back a little, though her body was facing forwards, so she was looking at Chris for a moment before turning back to face the right direction. Looks like he really was bullied, since he didn't mind Seria teasing him like that, as long as it wasn't particularly malicious or physically abusive, then it would be fine. "Better get cracking, then," Seria said. "'Cause I got me some ruins to explore, boy-o. Gotta see if I can get some good information here. And that reminds me, I wish I could talk to that lady more! She knows so much about things!" Seria brought up her encounter with the Mana Warden, but it wouldn't be very obvious to Chris that it was her she was referring to.
