Either Tanya had believed Annie's flimsy excuse, or she noticed and respected Annie's discomfort. Annie didn't really care which at this point. Either way, it was a relief not to be pressed any further for information about the topic.
Night had fallen, and the only light left came from inside the room. Annie's long day was catching up to her, so when Tanya announced an intention to go to sleep, she nodded along and began to prepare to do the same.
The last thing her roommate said before she went to sleep caught the silver-haired Trainer by surprise. The invitation to talk to her... Annie wondered if it would be good to do that. Especially since the other girl had commented that it was better to talk about things than keep them inside. Was that true?
Tanya seemed to be asleep almost instantly, but Annie lay awake in bed for some time, pondering the conversation they had just had. When she did fall asleep, the weariness of the day caught up to her so hard that she didn't even dream.
