Adriel couldn't help but cringe when Astrid mentioned there being creepy self-inserts, and the mental image she received definitely didn't help. "Ugh...yeah. If any of them are half as bad as some of the other stuff I've read, then I can't say I blame you for not wanting to go into detail." Letting out a sigh, she paused for a moment then continued "Then again, seems like all famous celebrities have their share of creepy fans. Frankly, I dunno how you deal with it." Just the thought of reading something like that about her was enough to send chills down her spine. Just...ugh.

Either way, when she went onto the subject of her sexuality, she smiled and nodded "True...I can see how you coming out of the closet might have caused some issues. Though a lot of fans would either be very disappointed or highly intrigued...if not both. Conflicted emotions and all that." Then, with a bit of a mischievous grin, she decides "So...I'm kinda curious now...what's your type?"

"I deal with it by laughing off the ones I can, and trying my best to pretend the ones I can't don't exist," Astrid explained. "Sometimes I had to remind myself that I also had really good fans, though."

As the subject changed, Astrid couldn't help but wonder just how many problems coming out would have actually caused. Sure, fanboys would have been disappointed. Some of the crazier ones would have been upset, even. ...Actually, now that she thought of it, since she'd been discouraged from so much as getting a boyfriend, a girlfriend would've made whatever fallout would've come from that even worse. Although, Astrid wasn't too happy with the logic of that either. It fell right back into her issues with playing a role rather than just being herself. She didn't want to exist just to be someone's fantasy. If people fantasized about her anyway, that was fine (at least until it got creepy), but if something she did ended up ruining that, that shouldn't come down on her. "Yeah, that was my manager's argument more or less," she said, not really wanting to put her thoughts into another rant at the moment. "I'm still not too happy about it, but...oh well. It's not an issue anymore."

Then, completely out of nowhere, Adriel asked her type. Astrid instinctively blushed again. "Ah...um...s-someone like you," she stammered awkwardly. "That's what I'm supposed to say, right?" She paused for a second, then shook her head. "Sorry, that's not really fair. I just met you. But...hmm..." She considered the question seriously for a few more seconds. "Someone I could freely be myself around, who I don't have to worry too much about saying something that'll upset them or make them uncomfortable. Someone who feels like they can do the same with me, too. For looks...I normally go for 'cute' over 'hot', although I certainly like both. I wouldn't mind someone who could protect me from crazy people if it came to it, too."

Adriel nodded quietly as the girl before her continued to explain how complicated everything in show business could be. Have we mentioned that Adriel was glad she didn't have to worry about any of that? Not so much the fame itself. She wouldn't mind that. Just all of the stress and responsibility that undoubtedly came with it. She had an idea of what it might be like before, and speaking with Astrid more or less confirmed her suspicions. Hell, being told she's not allowed to date anyone by anyone other than her parents probably would have been the last straw for her.

Then came the response to her question...and, based on the way her face turned completely red, it was probably safe to assume that Adriel hadn't expected such a direct answer. Truth be told, she was genuinely curious, so when Astrid rlat out said that she was her type, it caught her completely off guard. Of course, then she went on to make it sound like she had been joking, then describe the type of girl she liked which Adriel kinda fit to a T, she nodded quietly "Y-yeah...I guess that would be pretty nice, huh?" Though probably inadvertently, Astrid had managed to do something that few girls have managed...she was the one who flustered Adriel, instead of the other way around.

Oh? That was unexpected. Astrid seemed to have caught Adriel off-guard with her response. She had meant the first part as a joke, but the way Adriel blushed and responded really quietly once Astrid had answered seriously, it seemed like she hadn't been too far off the mark. That was...interesting. Astrid had to admit, she was a bit intrigued by Adriel. Add on the fact that she was really cute and that so far Astrid had been about to say whatever she wanted to, and she may well be onto something.

Only time would tell, though. There was one more thing Astrid hadn't said, and that's that it just didn't seem as appealing if it was too easy to win someone over. Or, for someone to win her over, if it came to that. If anything was that likely to happen, she'd have to try and make things more interesting first. Still, so long as Adriel was already flustered, this was the perfect chance to tease her a bit. "You got real quiet all of a sudden," she said. "Did something I said sound a little too familiar to you?"

Oh no she didn't. This girl. She just turned Adriel's flirting around on her. This was...awesome, actually. Usually, the girls that Adriel hits on are either uncomfortable (at which point Adriel will promptly stop hitting on her), or they were always awkward, confused and/or flustered (yet usually flattered). But this. This was a first, and, at the rate things were going, Adriel might actually start falling for this girl. While the idea of settling down with someone wasn't an unpleasant thought, just thinking about it felt weird.

Hell, it even made her a little anxious. That was the irony in this; as much as she was always flirting with other girls, the thought of a serious relationship made her feel awkward. Either way, she shook her head, doing her best to play it off "N-nah! Nothing like that...well...okay, maybe a little. Just caught me a little off-guard, is all." Technically, she wasn't lying. But she was definitely trying to downplay how much it caught her off guard. Whether it was too late for that remained to be seen, but you couldn't blame a girl for trying.

Either way, she, wondering how late it had gotten, and her eyes widened slightly, though only for a split second. "A-anyway, I hate to leave all of a sudden, but I kinda had some things I was planning to do. So...yeah...I should probably get on those. Wouldn't mind talking again though...it was fun..." Adriel still couldn't help but blush, but, otherwise, she had her usual smile on her face. She was definitely going to remember this girl. If only she could stop blushing. Like...seriously.

'Just a little off-guard'? Nope. Astrid didn't believe that for a second. She was blushing too much and acting way too nervous all of a sudden for 'just a little'. Certainly not when Adriel wanted to excuse herself so soon afterward. Astrid had to admit, she was a little disappointed. Not in how things had gone so far. No, that was awesome. Astrid was disappointed that she wouldn't be able to tease Adriel any more while she already had her blushing and nervous. Considering how this little meeting had started, it seemed only fitting.

"Ah, well. I guess I'll let you get to that," Astrid said, feigning a pout. "We should hang out again sometime, though. Maybe I'll be able to catch you off-guard again." She giggled. Yes, this girl was someone Astrid would have to remember. Even if nothing more ended up coming from this meaning, she was a lot of fun to be around.
