Oleg let out a grunt as Walter was drowned in first rocks and then ice. He did manage to break out, only to fall on his knees, seemingly flinching. Oleg continued to ponder for a long while on what he should do before letting out a sigh. "Hang on Walt! You'll manage!" The electivire simply let out a grunt, continuing to kneel and shiver a bit.
He folded his arms, staring at Ace. Or well, Hatty. "Say, Hatty. Or well. Ace. I'll be respectful to you since you are respectful to me, but I must ask. Why do this kinda crap? Terror, I mean." Sure, he would probably not answer, but Oleg needed to do something, even if it was talking crap.
Action: None.

One Pokemon attacked and missed. The other just flinched. Well, that was certainly a disappointing offensive. Ace understood the circumstances, but it didn't make it any less disappointing for that moment. Still, he was sure the two youths had plenty more to offer. Then, Oleg decided to ask him a question. At that point, the gentleman raised a hand, index finger extended, before slowly waggling it about with a slight, though audible, “Tsk, tsk, tsk”. It was as if he was chiding the young man for asking prematurely.
”Alas, Oleg, that was not a part of the agreement. If you wish to ask me something, you must agree with young Crispin there and, of course, defeat me.” His lips were curled into a pleasant, but challenging smile. ”You're doing well, but I have no intents of handing the victory over to you that simply. Now then. Excadrill, another Rock Slide. Nidoking, Sludge Wave.” The Excadrill tossed a barrage of sharp rocks at the two! Meanwhile, with the lack of Steel on the side of the boys, Sludge Wave was now an applicable move. More reliable than Blizzard, and even more powerful to boot! ActionExcadrill: Rock Slide on both; misses Electivire Nidoking: STAB Sludge Wave on all targets. Excadrill nulls via Steel-typing. No misses. Damage boosted by 60% via Life Orb + Sheer Force combo.

Crispin cursed sharply as Emer's attack missed, and she was quickly slammed with two harsh attacks right away. If it hadn't missed they would have been fine, but of course just as good as his luck usually is it would make sense for him to see the other side of the spectrum too. Returning her quickly and thanking her, he scowled at the Origin team member. "Yer gettin' on me nerves, yer nu dat?"
He knew it may be a long stretch, but it was all he had right now. Even if it wasn't overly effective, the Electivire's attack weakened the Nidoking, so it may give them the push they needed. "Wes, 'elp us oyt 'ere! Try a rock slide!" The Skiddo appeared in the Skitty's place and stomped his hooves harshly, somehow creating large rocks from the woodwork to rain on their two opponents. Crispin kept his fingers crossed that it would be enough. Recalled Skitty, sent out Skiddo. Used Rock Slide, 75BP, 90% accuracy, but not very effective on either target. 30% to cause flinch. Excadrill: LVTAl5F31-10 1-9 hit, 10 miss. 1-10 1-3 will flinch, 4-10 will not. Nidoking: 1-10 1-9 hit, 10 miss. 1-10 1-3 will flinch, 4-10 will not.1-10·1-10·1-10·1-10

And so Walter keeled over, letting out a loud grunt as Oleg then called Walter back to his ball. Hm, this Ace was, well, ace. He then looked trough his first three pokeballs for a long while before nodding to himself as he then released Jack the Pangoro, the panda slowly rising up and standing, staring between his opponents. "Alright Jack. Use Hammer arm and break that Arceus damn Excadrills defenses."
Jack simply nodded, suddenly dashing forwards and raising his fists into the air, before then aiming towards the excadrill and slamming the fists down in a hammering motion.
Action: Called Walter back, sent out Jack the Pangoro. Pangoro used Hammer Arm, STAB, 2X super effective, with base attack power of 124. Will roll for accuracy.

It seemed that Ace was wearing on half of his opponents' nerves. And it almost looked as though the final turning point of the match was about to occur, but the Hammer Arm missed the mark, and the Excadrill remained mostly all right- doubly-resisting all the Rock Slides that came its way helped. Meanwhile, the Nidoking was gradually wearing down further. A solid neutral hit, or a decent super-effective one, might have finished him off. Well, still, the opponents still needed to produce something capable of it.
"Nidoking, another Sludge Wave. Excadrill, follow up with a Brick Break on the Pangoro." The next barrage was no less merciless than the last. If anything, it was more so now that he was focusing on specific targets. However, that was a sign in and of itself. The gentleman respected his opponents enough to not hold back. More than that, he could still anticipate his own defeat. The two young men just needed to apply themselves. ActionNidoking: STAB Sludge Wave on all targets. Excadrill nulls via Steel-typing. No misses. Damage boosted by 60% via Life Orb + Sheer Force combo. Excadrill: Brick Break directed at Pangoro. No miss.

And that was exactly why I didn't want to send Wesley out, Crispin thought angrily to himself as he recalled the Skiddo. The poor goat had gotten hit with that same painfully powerful wave of poison, and with all of it's empowerment the poor Skiddo couldn't withstand it. Even though Jove was his second most powerful Teammate, the fact that half of his attacks were unusable against their enemies posed a problem. Still, at the very least one of his attacks were neutral. "Awrite Jo, 'tis al' up ter yer nigh! Use Giga Drain an' finish aff de Nidokin'!" At the command, the bug leapt towards the large poison type and latched onto it, attempting to soak up it's last remaining energy. Recalled Skiddo, sent out Galvantula. Galvantula used Giga Drain. 75BP, 1x effective. 100% accuracy

And then everything went to crap. Oleg let out a silent curse to himself as he watched Jack first get pelted by the poisonous wave, and then pelted by the brick break. He hissed to himself as he recalled the panda who had not even gotten a hit in. He should really replace that hammer arm, but it was just so powerful... Oh well. He then took one of his pokeballs, releasing Lancel the Bisharp. "Right, Lancel, use sucker punch on that Excadrill!"
Lancel nodded, not letting out any sounds as he dashed forwards, his fist glistening with dark light as he then slammed said fist against the face of the mole.
Action: Recalled Pangoro, sent out Bisharp. Bisharp used sucker punch, 100 BP, Stab, 100 accuracy, aimed at excadrill.

Despite the next wave of attacks, Ace's Excadrill and Nidoking were still standing. Both were in horrid shape, sure, but they were still up and capable of attacking. The gentleman considered the circumstances. Even if he had a means of safe departure, it did not mean that the young men before him did. Assuming they had adhered to the unwritten rule of “six-Pokemon teams”, then he had already personally seen a total of eight, split evenly between the two, go down. Unless they had some saving plan, a Rock Slide from Nidoking would have likely taken out the Galvantula and weakened the Bisharp. After that, another Brick Break from Excadrill could finish the Dark-Steel type. Furthermore, that would have left the two with only one Pokemon each.
He was a gentleman, not a monster.
”That is enough.” The man noted, not ordering another offensive. Still smiling, he took his hat off before bowing to the two. Then, returning his Nidoking and Bisharp, he released a Gallade instead. He did not seem to be intent on continuing the fight, though. ”It is my defeat- your victory. So, as promised, discuss between yourselves a question to ask me. To the best of my abilities, I will answer it for you.

Jove blinked all of his eyes as the Pokemon he was on top of suddenly disappeared, recalled into it's Pokeball. Falling the the ground, the Galvantula struggled to get a footing before skittering around in a circle to figure out what had happened. "Jo, cum back 'ere. We've got sum things ter discuss wi' de trainer dare." Jove's pedipalps scratched his face in frustration before dashing back to his person's side, scowling over at the man in the top hat.
The Pokemon's frustration was mirrored in his trainer's face as Crispin scowled over at the Origin member. He said they won, but it sure didn't feel like it. His Pokemon annihilated theirs. Sure it may have been easier to do with their third member that had up and bailed on them, but still. It was obvious if he hadn't stopped that they would have been seriously shit out of luck.
Regardless, he was still holding up his end of the bargain and agreed to answer their question now. Looking over to his partner, he racked his brain trying to think of any question that may be of any use to them. Frowning, he leaned over and spoke in a hushed tone, running his only idea by the larger man first. "Al' oi can tink av is ter ask wat Origin's weakness is. Wi' dat... we may be able ter actually fit back next time."

Oleg tilted his head at Ace, furrowing his brow slightly as he admitted defeat. Hm, he could have probably won if he had pressed on or. Or at the very least, that was Oleg's opinion. Now, what to ask him, what to ask him. Maybe ask him about his top hat? No, no, that's stupid. Ask him to dinner? Wait, why would anyone ask that. He tapped his chin for a while before Crispen? Crispin came to him. He tilted his head at the boy's accent. He had no idea on what had been said, expect for words weakness, and fit back. He simply nodded.

The man waited patiently as the youths exchanged words in a hushed manner. Oleg nodded to whatever it was Crispin had said, then, after a few moments, it was relayed to him. The gentleman's shoulders shook as he quietly laughed, putting his free hand to his mouth. He didn't seem to be mocking them, just amused at the bluntness of their inquiry. Then, situating himself, he fixed the two with a stare. His lips were curled into a smile. All in all, the situation had played out in a pleasant manner, he figured. He would reward them for their efforts, as promised.
”Straight to the heart of matters, hm? There is no fault in that. It could even be said to be a redeeming quality, depending on the speaker. Now then. You desire to know our weakness. Sadly, that's a bit lacking. So, instead, I will give you three things: The weakness of the group, the weakness of its members, and my own weakness. While it is what you asked for, it's a bit more in-depth. Consider it my additional gift for having humored me with a nice match.” He nodded at that point. ”Of course, I'll not specify what the three weaknesses go to- you two have solid heads on your shoulders, so I'm sure you'll figure it out.” His smile was pleasant, but mischievous.
”Management!” He suddenly declared, with the spreading of both arms. ”Youthful indiscretion and arrogance!” Came the second, with a wave of his free hand, as he planted his cane's base back on the ground. ”The Ground-type!” He finally uttered, clenching his fist for effect. No, Ace. You kind of just told them to which they went, anyway. Still, the gentleman seemed plenty pleased with everything. ”Both of you take care. I look forward to meeting you again. You both have potential, and I'd greatly enjoy seeing how you grow.” With that, he planted his free hand on Gallade's shoulder.
”I bid you a good day. Gallade, Teleport.” And the two vanished.
