A Rematch At Long Last (Battle/Chris)

Today was the perfect day for a little training. The beach was fairly empty today, so, while it was disappointing that there weren't any cute girls in bikinis wandering around, this made it the perfect place to do some training. With her Pokemon's help, she had erected multiple large "targets" out of the sand, and had been using those for her Pokemon to practice their attacks on. Crude, perhaps, but it was already beginning to pay off, if only because it was allowing Adriel to get a feel for how certain moves worked. Indeed, this was exactly what she needed in order to help her team improve.

As for the training itself, she was careful not to work her Pokemon too hard, keeping it at going at an easy but steady pace. That way, on the off chance someone were to show up and challenge her to a battle, they'd still be at full strength. Either way, the last of her Pokemon was now on its last sand target. Adriel found this Pokemon to be especially interesting. It was a Hawlucha, and it had a move unlike any other, though she still wasn't entirely sure how it worked. Not that having it attack mounds of sand was going to help her figure it out any time soon, but still.

"Alright Garuda! Use Flying Press on that last one!" The Hawlucha nodded, jumping high into the air and, just as he was as high as he could go, striking a dramatic pose. Then, he proceeded to put all of his weight into a powerful midair body slam, which instantly demolished the target. The Hawlucha then struck a "victory" pose, prompting a chuckle from his trainer. He was definitely something else. "Great job. I think that about wraps it up for today...it'd take too long to set up more targets." The Hawlucha, though disappointed at no longer getting to show off how amazing he was, nodded understandingly. Either way, it was a day well-spent.

So... Let's think for a moment... After the mission and everything else... It's only right to let the team have a bit of a break, especially Argos, considering how active a fighter he has been recently. Naturally I sent out Dusk and Argos to accompany me on the trip to the beach, it was somewhat routine at this point, one that none of us ever seemed to dislike... It always felt good to walk with those you care about alongside you... Even if they are Pokemon and not human. 

Arriving at the beach, wearing a simple white long sleeved shirt and a pair of black trousers since this was just going to be a break, nothing major. it seemed surprisingly clear at this point in time Although voices could be heard... That voice... Isn't that adriels one? Quite a surprise to see her here, training by the sound of it... Hopefully that means she got herself some extra pokemon by this point. Silently approaching, probably a good idea to say hello and let his presence be known instead of not doing so and potienally surprising her.

Seeing the new pokemon she had, Chris chuckled to himself faintly... A hawlucha eh? So she actually has somewhat of a counter to his typical type of choice... Fair play, learning what you are vulnerable to and finding a way to react is a good idea in general. "Hello adriel... Training pokemon ... Good to see you're finding new ones to compliment your arsenal"  Chris spoke, his tone quite calm in nature.


Dusk was being completely silent, seeing no need to speak what so ever, instead, he was mentally preparing herself to protect her trainer if need be.

Adriel was in the middle of debating where to go next. It wasn't quite late enough to go and get dinner yet, but it was late enough that, if she tried to take a nap and pass the time, she'd definitely end up sleeping right past it. So that wasn't really an option. Maybe she'd head for the commons and watch some battles. Those were always fun, especially when it was between some of the more advanced students. Either that or find some cute girls to hit on. Of course, that's rarely ever not an option. Actually...she couldn't help but wonder what Astrid was up to.

However, as she got distracted by her own thought, she was caught slightly off-guard by the voice of another. It took her a moment, but she realized the voice was familiar. Once she looked over, she immediately, recognized his face and smiled "Chris! How goes it?" She remembered the two of them meeting (and that disaster of a first battle) quite well, and after a long day of training, it was nice to see a friendly face. When he mentioned her Pokemom, she nodded "Yep. I even managed to get a full team. Garuda here is actually my latest Pokemon; got him in a trade for a Ducklett I caught in the mountains."

Chris chuckled faintly at first, garuda... Certainly an interesting name most of the time, but it's certainly suitable given the species. "To answer your question, everything is fine on my end, managed another one of my pokemon and caught a seventh to add to my options, and a Ducklet for a Hawlucha... Certainly a good trade in a variety of situations" Chris spoke as a response to Adriels question. Taking a look at the scene, logically Chris came to the conclusion she must have been getting to know her pokemons moves.

Dusk naturally had been standing next to Chris the entire time, keeping a watchful eye on the situation so she could leap to his defense the nanosecond she needed to. There were other thoughts in her mind than just this though, there were thoughts about a certain other individual in her mind... Thoughts about Mammon, Kyries Espeon. Pushing those thoughts to the back of her mind for the moment, her attention found it's way to the Hawlucha... Hopefully he won't try to cause trouble, but if he does, an Icicle Crash to the face should sort that out rather quickly.
