Karin closed her eyes for a moment as she made her way deeper onto the island. This place was a haven of sorts. And she was an intruder on that haven. That fact was felt in the unseen power around her, from an uncountable number of psychic Pokemon trying to push anything that wasn't one of their own out. But, unfortunately for them, she was already there.
"It's fine. I'm a friend," Karin said to no one in particular. The native Pokemon had no reason to believe that, of course. But she did at least try. Although, so long as she was catching Pokemon from here, she could probably do to have a better representative of her intentions than the Cofagrigus she'd just caught.
[Current Party: Mismagius, Bronzong, Chandelure, Trevenant, Milotic, Togekiss] [Seeking, in order of preference: Duskull, Spiritomb, Rotom, Ralts, Golett, Honedge, Sigilyph, Drifloon, Espurr (or their evolutions where applicable)] [Litwick Egg: 1/10]

A Pokemon eventually appeared, as though out of thin air, and cautiously approached Karin. Karin easily recognized it as a Dusclops, and waited patiently as it studied her with its single eye. It didn't seem nearly as malevolent as the Cofagrigus. More...careful, as though trying to judge whether she was a threat or not. Eventually, it gave a nod to her, then gestured up above her head.
Realizing she had been called out, Shiranui descended from her hiding place, flames burning brightly. She made a similar gesture back, bending one of her candlelit arms just enough to point at the Dusclops. The Dusclops responded by coating one of its hands in spectral flames. "I am...at a bit of a loss in this," Karin said, stepping back. "I'll leave this to your judgment, Shiranui." The ghostly chandelier nodded, then bent her arms slightly outwards. Spectral flames materialized around the Dusclops, then coalesced onto its body to ignite it. The Dusclops tried to vanish, but left a trail of fire in its wake as it snuck around behind Shiranui and attacked her from the shadows. The Chandelure recoiled from the attack, but quickly spun around, wreathed her entire body in ghostly flames, and finished off the Dusclops in a single hit. No really. A magic circle materialized in the flames and spectral energy shot out from it, engulfing the Dusclops. It fell to the ground, barely conscious but definitely out of the fight, then raised one of its disembodied hands in surrender. Seeing her opening, Karin tossed an Academy Ball at it to finish the fight.

Success! You caught the wild Dusclops! Feel free to add it to your PC and remove any items you used (including your ball) from your inventory.
