This would actually be the last trip to the island and it was certain that luck probably didn't like her so much. This time, it was important that some of her second stage Pokemon should get some experience and the fully evolved ones should help out just in case if there should be a problem. The Metang could sense her growing disappointment and it had tried to cheer her up. It wanted its trainer to be happy and just accept anything that might be interesting for her to catch. Still, she could have just stuck to finding something in the graveyard or in the manor. Bad fortune was always something that she disliked, but it happens. The pursuit would have to continue further and there would be no stupidity to back it up. And there might be good luck that would turn around when no one is expecting it.

Something made the Metang stop in its tracks and it appeared to be a lone keystone lying there. The blue robot floated over to where the keystone was and inspected it. And then, a swirling purple mist had come out of the keystone, intent on wreaking chaos upon the duo. "Kronos, use Meteor Mash!" The Metang's arm turned metal as it charged at the Spiritomb and punched at her face, causing her to cringe a little. After the attack, the ghost recovered and laughed at the robot, merely mocking it that it would take a couple of hits to get her down to her knees. She then released a wave of darkness which made the robot cringe in pain as it was harmed by Dark type attacks. "Use Earthquake!" The Metang slammed his body to the ground, causing the ground itself to quake and the Spiritomb toppled over, surprised that her opponent had used a different attack, but got up moments later.
The Spiritomb unleashed another Dark Pulse at the Metang, causing the robot to cringe in pain as it struggled to stay up. Seems like Kronos was about to lose consciousness if the third Dark Pulse managed to connect. "Again, use Meteor Mash!" The robot charged at the ghost and punched her in the face with a metal arm. The ghost frowned as she took the attack, but managed to smile wide as she unleashed yet another Dark Pulse. Well, that was it. Kronos couldn't take it and drifted down slowly while he lost consciousness. Alice promptly returned him to his Academy Ball and sent out her Flygon who hovered beside her trainer. Sekhmet glared at the ghost for making one of her friends faint. "Let's lower the Spiritomb's defenses with Screech!" The bug dragon vibrated her wings which made a screeching sound and the ghost frowned as she heard the sound, immediately lowering her defenses harshly.
The ghost released another wave of darkness which prompted Sekhmet to cringe in pain, but it would take more than that to bring her down. "Use Dragon Claw!" The bug dragon's claws turned light blue as she slashed at the ghost with fury, causing the ghost to yelp out in terrible pain. The Spiritomb had never felt so much pain before, but she retaliated back with another Dark Pulse, earning another cringe of pain from the Flygon. "Use Flamethrower!" The Flygon took to the skies and breathed a stream of fire onto the ghost, causing the Spiritomb to shake in pain again. She unleashed another wave of darkness to attack the dragon, causing Sekhmet to cringe in pain again. "One more Dragon Claw should finish the Spiritomb off!" The bug dragon charged at the ghost and slashed at the ghost with light blue claws and the Spiritomb toppled over where she lied there unconscious. Alice took out an empty Academy Ball and threw it at the downed ghost, reminiscing about that failed capture of the other Spiritomb and she had regretted it since then.

At last, the dreaded battle was over and the Flygon breathed heavily as she looked over to her trainer. "You did good, Sekhmet. You can rest now. Returning the Flygon back inside her Academy Ball, she picked up the Academy Ball that had the caught Spiritomb inside and released her outside. The ghost looked around before resting her eyes on her new trainer. "You know, I had seen a Spiritomb that was a different gender, but I had failed in catching it. I was really dumb, but I am happy that you're here with me." The Spiritomb smiled and together, they were ferried back to the Academy. It was by sheer luck that this Spiritomb had given her a second chance to actually catch it. And from the looks of it, the ghost was wholeheartedly grateful that she got to spend time with someone.
