Hitting the Waves Even Harder (Mod)

Frankly speaking, Sonia was displeased with her last trip to the beach. She wanted to catch something really fitting for her team. Yet, last time she simply settled on a barnacle Pokemon. She knew that there were plenty of fierce water types. She just needed them to show their face. So making her way back to the beach, the girl began to search the coast with renewed vigor. Naturally, she was wearing her little white swimsuit from the day before. After all, it was a very nice swimsuit. Though, honestly? She was just hoping to get this over with in time for her to spend a bit of time playing in the water.

The moment her feet touched the water, little Sonia looked up in the air as she heard the calling of a bird Pokemon. Blinking, she squinted her eyes as the suns rays poured down on her. All she saw was the sun. . . and its shadow. Slowly, the shadow got bigger and bigger until the girl realized that it was heading straight for her. Her eyes widened at this revelation. But then again. . . it was already too late.

The girl was pecked at by the mysterious foe. Sonia was at a loss for what to do. She simply swatted, hoping to get the bird away. Yet, the shadow only persisted. Finally, the girl ran, (With only a few tears in her eyes, because she's just that tough.) hoping to escape the pursuer. And thankfully, she did escape; for the time being.

Finally escaping the awful creature that attacked her, Sonia decided to travel a bit more cautiously. She knew that she couldn't be too trusting with some of these Pokemon, but she certainly didn't expect one to swoop down from the sky and attack her. But just as she thought over her small tragedy, she saw something that cheered her up. Running over to the pink Pokemon, she knelt down and began to pet it. She had raised many slowpoke on the ranch at home and knew how to handle them. Not that there was much to handle anyway. And so, the girl spent some time with the Slowpoke before setting off.

Finally, Sonia came across her third wild Pokemon. It was a Seel. Again, she really had no intention of catching such a Pokemon, but it was getting late. Yet again, her search had proven to be fruitless. With a sigh, she pulled out the Pokeball containing her Shroomish and call ed it out for battle. Roundabout! Open up with a Seed Bomb!

The little Shroomish had already become used to the sequence of battle after the few days of battle. It was getting accustomed to not only Sonia, but to battling in general. So with its sights on the enemy, the little Shroomish moved into point blank range of the Pokemon before blasting it with a barrage of seeds. Dropping back, the Seel counter-attacked with some sort of ice-attack. A beam was fired at the little Shroomish, slowing its movement down significantly as well as doing a good deal of damage. It was definitely very effective.

Hang in there; you've powered through worse! Show this punk what's what! Seed Bomb one more time! The little Shroomish's legs had been frozen by the attack and was severely slowed as a result. Even still, it managed to break free of the icy cold's grasp and began to move once more. All it needed to do was get in range and land the blow.

Picking up speed, the little Shroomish was able to jump onto the Seel's back before turning around and blasting it with a second Seed Bomb. The Seel wasn't fast enough to turn around and make a decent counter. Instead, it took a direct blow to the back of the head before being knocked out. Returning The Roundabout to its ball with a smile, Sonia looked at the fainted Pokemon. She contemplated catching it, but in the end decided against it. Saving the ball might be better, in her opinion. And so, the girl left the scene without a new Pokemon added to her team.
