Meili was here near the Nature dorms again. This time around she figured since she ran out of luck at the cliffs, she would go for trying to capture a grass type. The reason why the fire, water, and grass trinity existed is because each one compensates each other fairly. With grass being resistant to electrical attacks, it'll fit the bill for what she is looking for....now...she has new problem.
"Damn this forest..." Meili tried her best not to punch a tree in rage. Quite frankly she can already hear the snickering of Du from within inside her pokeball. Meili glared at her belt before looking back at where she was and try to match it with the map. "A land mark, a pokemon, something! Meili collapsed her back against a tree and began to lean back on it and slowly slid down to a sitting position. This was gonna be another rage inducing day huh?

Meili slowly looked over to what looked like a brown rat like pokemon...with some of the most bizarre eyes she's even seen. Note that she lived in area where Xatus were living just south of where she was. Meili slowly got up. It seemed like the Pokemon wasn't paying attention to her. Meili began to walk...only to step on a conveniently placed stick. Meili turned around to see the pokemon...staring at her...
Meili was locked into a staring contest with it for a brief moment. Meili quickly adjusted her hat with her free hand and then placed that free hand over her head. Yeah she wasn't going to deal with this. That clearly wasn't a grass type and right now wasting her Pokemon's energy while she is lost is the last thing that she needs. Action: Run away and continue looking. |

Meili took a large deep breathe after running. She took off her hat for a moment and wiped the sweat off her forehead with her sleeve. Meili arched an eyebrow when she heard a movement in the grass. Was it getting closer? Meili soon ducked...or more collapse on to the ground narrowly dodging something speedy. She looked up...and gasped in amazement. It wasn't a grass type but luck does seem to have a strange way of blessing her.
"A Scyther..." Meili smiled as she then sent out Pen. Right away she wanted to weaken this particular Pokemon. It seems this Scyther took Meili and the Charmander's presence as the signs of a challenge. "Pen use Smokescreen!" Pen right away blew a large puff of smoke over the Scyther. "Now use Slash!" Pen began to charge and lunge at the puff of smoke and made a huge lunge with his claws...only to clear the smoke to find nothing.
For a moment, Meili thought it ran away...though that wouldn't make too much sense since Scyther are competitive by nature. Left? Nothing. Right? Nothing. That only leaves...well, it was too late for Meili to say anything on that manner anyhow. The Scyther lunged down from the trees and hit Pen with what appeared to be a Fury Cutter attack. Thankfully the move didn't do much but Meili is aware enough of what would happen if she allowed the Scyther to continue using the attack.
"Pen use Dragon Rage!" Pen launched a blue sphere of fire and it blasted the Scyther. Meili can't use Flamethrower or else risk being forced to put out a forest fire with just a Horsea. The Scyther once more lunged toward Pen...but it seemed his eyes were still recovering from the smoke being blown at its face and it thankfully missed the fire lizard. "Another dragon rage!" The little lizard fired another blue fire ball at the Scyther. Meili smirked as she reached into her belt bag and took out an Academyball. She threw the Pokeball over at the Scyther in hopes of containing it and hopefully add a more than decent fourth member of her team. |

The ball shook...then cracked. Like the last time, the Pokemon broke out of the pokeball that Meili threw. She can't believe that she was wasting this many Pokeballs on assembling her team. She got the feeling that she was gonna have to stop by the store. She looked over at Pen who waved his tail to signal that he was still good to go. Looks like they were going to have to hit this one more.
"Pen use Slash once more!" This time the Charmander managed to get a hit on the Scyther...however the Scyther began to fly back a little. It wasn't going to run away was it? Suddenly Charmander was struck. Meili's eyes widened. What? Scyther was at a distance though? Meili took out her pokedex. The Pokedex apparently detected an attack called Air Slash. It might not be as powerful as say its close range attacks but the fact that it can do that means no matter what range she isn't safe.
The Scyther decided to send a few more air slashes over to the two. Meili winced as she felt a cut on her upper left arm. Seems like the Scyther was hoping to resort to distance combat. However, Pen most likely has more far ranged attacks. Meili just needed to fire some Dragon Rage attacks and bring him down closer to being unconscious.
"Dragon Rage!" Pen launched a blue sphere of fire over at the Scyther. The Scyther once more was hit by the attack and it collapsed on to the ground. It was clearly in pain from all the accumulated damage it took. The Scyther still showed some resistance by sending another Air Slash at Pen with a beat of its wings but the Charmander endured the attack. "Another Dragon Rage!" A part of Meili wanted to feel bad at this point she was just beating down on it...but that part is very very buried down due to her excitement. Pen let out another blue sphere of fire launch and blast the Scyther down. Meili reached inside her bag for her Academyball. She chucked the ball over that hit the mantis Pokemo...

The pokeball hit the Scyther and contained the Scyther. The ball shook once, twice, thrice...and click. Meili smiled as she walked over to the Academyball and picked it up. Welp that takes care of that. She placed the ball in her pocket and went over to Pen. She gave the Charmander a smile to signal the lizard that he did a job well done.
"Come back now Pen, you must be exhausted." She returned the Charmander back to his Pokeball. Meili then took out her last empty Academyball. This wasn't good, at the moment she doesn't trust herself enough with just this one Academyball. Meili hated to do this, especially since she had a few more Pokemon with stamina...but she was going to have to pull back for now. Train her Pokemon and resupply. Action: Leave the area. |
