Exploring the ruins turned out to be interesting, but there were some interesting Pokemon there, including the ones that don't appear as much. The poisonous seahorse had gotten some training during the invasion, though he was willing to battle here for the sake of protecting the people that can't defend themselves. She stroked his head, careful not to accidentally poison herself while there were toxic areas on his body. He could help her catch some Pokemon today, seeing that he had plenty of battle experience during that invasion and the ruins was a good place to start. Plenty of tourists would love to just look at all those weird patterns on the walls, though nobody had came to the ruins except her. Though, she could tell that the seahorse was close to evolving as well as the others. She would need to train the ones that had three evolution stages more than the ones that had two. That'll be okay as long as their opponents had no moves that could possibly throw off their aim.

And a Golett had been walking by before spotting the two. The poisonous seahorse didn't want to fight the golem since he assumed that he was weak to some of the moves that the golem might have in its disposal. There was no way that the seahorse was ever going to battle this thing, considering that Golett usually had good defense for such a little golem. The golem could tell that she didn't want to battle, so he let her pass without a word. And she walked by the golem quietly before looking at the strange patterns over at the wall. It was lamentable that it used to be such a beautiful palace until something had made it into the ruins that she had seen today. Perhaps, the ruins might hold some other interesting Pokemon to boot.

And then, a Gastly had appeared while the duo were exploring the ruins. Morgan took the opportunity to eagerly battle the ghost. "Use Surf!" The poisonous seahorse summoned a large wave of water that hit the ghost, causing the Gastly to grimace in pain. She released a wave of darkness which hit the seahorse and he cringed in pain. "Again, use Surf!" The seahorse summoned another large wave of water which hit the ghost again, causing her to grimace in pain.
In response, the ghost released another wave of darkness which caused the seahorse to cringe in pain again. "Another Surf, Morgan!" The seahorse summoned another large wave of water which managed to hit the ghost and her smile turned into a frown as she was struggling to stay in the air. The Gastly released another wave of darkness and that dread turned to fear as the dark wave managed to make the seahorse flinch. The ghost laughed and seemed to chant out a hex which hurt the seahorse some more, causing him to breathe heavily.
The seahorse waited for his next order. "One more Surf!" The seahorse summoned another large wave of water which hit the ghost again and the ghost couldn't stay up in the air anymore. She slowly drifted down into the ground where she fell unconscious which prompted Alice to take out an empty Academy Ball and throw it at the ghost.

Notice. Your excessive violence?
Allows this. Think on that.
You captured the Gastly. Deduct a ball, add the victim.

The Academy Ball shook once, twice, and a third time before a clicking sound could be heard. The gassy ghost was caught and Morgan had been exhausted from the battle, including his injuries. She recalled him back inside his Pokeball before picking the Academy Ball up and it was high time that she introduced herself to the ghost. Releasing her new Gastly outside, the ghost looked around at her surroundings before her eyes stared at her new trainer. "Hi there. I'm Alice and I think I'll call you Morticia since that's a pretty name. Anyway, why don't we head on back home?" The gassy ghost agreed with her and the duo returned back to the Mana Dorm where Morgan could take a rest and take a break from helping catch new Pokemon for a while.
