It was finally time. She had been putting it off for a number of reasons, the biggest one being that she simply kept getting sidetracked, but it was time to do this. She wasn't going to leave this beach until she had caught her first Pokemon. As for why she chose the beach, her reasoning was simple, really. Since there was likely going to be a lot of Water-types here, it would be the perfect location to train her Budew. Hopefully, it would soon evolve into a Roselia, and be able to put up a bit more of a fight. Not to mention Valentine himself was eager to evolve and become the beautiful flower he knew he was destined to be.
Plus, for Adriel there was the added bonus of occasionally spotting some girls in bathing suits. Not wanting to get distracted from her goal (again), she chose not to approach them. Still, the view was quite nice. Overall, she could tell that she definitely wasn't going to regret coming out here. Especially if she ended up with an awesome Water-type Pokemon for all of her troubles.

Adriel walked around the beach quietly, continuing to look around for any signs of a wild Pokemon. Eventually, she finally spotted one, a Seel that was bathing in the sun. "...holy crap, whatever this is, it's adorable." Pulling out her Pokedex, she looked the creature up, smiling softly. "A Seel, eh? Sounds perfect!" Thus, she sent out her Budew, who prepared himself for battle upon seeing the seal-like Pokemon. The Seel, realizing his situation far too late to do anything but try to defend itself, also prepared for battle.
Taking advantage of the Seel's surprise, Adriel kicked things off and gave her Budew the first command "Valentine, same as usual! Start off with a Stun Spore!" The Budew nodded, opening its buds and unleashing a cloud of paralysis-inducing spores, sending it in the direction of the Seel. The Water-type ended up breathing in the spores, becoming paralyzed in the process. Adriel smiled and nodded, pleased at this...though, hopefully, she'll have better luck with it in this battle. Regardless, the Seel responded quickly, blasting the Budew with a spray of salt water.
The Budew shook it off with relative ease. Besides it resisting Water-type attacks, pretty much the one good thing about him as far as stats were concerned was his Special Defense. Adriel smiled. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad after all. "Now, use Mega Drain!" The Budew's buds opened up once again, only this time, if formed a small mass of green energy. Then, the energy was fired at the Seel, in a small blast. It struck the Seel, doing a considerable amount of damage. It appeared to be especially effective, which made Adriel happy. As long as it didn't bust out with any powerful Ice attacks, Valentine had a fighting chance.
Of course, Adriel had a bad habit of tempting fate. Just as she was thinking this, the Seel lowered his head and, from his small horn, fired a rainbow-colored blast of freezing energy at the Budew. It wasn't a one-hit deal, thanks to the aforementioned high Special Defense, but it still took a fair bit of health from the small Grass-type. "Valentine! Are you alright?!" The Budew nodded to confirm he could still fight, and Adriel nodded "Alright, let's try and get some of that evergy back. Use Mega Drain again!" Once again, a life-absorbing energy was thrown at the Seel, taking another good chunk of its health, and restoring some of the Budew's lost health.
Once again, the Seel tried to fire a raibow-colored beam at the Budew...but this time, he couldn't. Finally, the Paralysis had paid off, and it couldn't have come at a better time! Adriel grinned widely. "Valentine, use Mega Drain once more!" With a nod, the Budew, both relieved at the reprieve and feeling confident because of it, used the attack once more, as commanded. After it hit, Adriel figured this was good enough. Taking an empty Academy Ball from her pack, she immediately tossed it at the Seel before he could try to retaliate. Now, as the Water-type was sucked into the ball, she watched and waited; those few seconds felt like an eternity to her...
-------------- Summary - Valentine used Stun Spore! Wild Seel was paralyzed! - Wild Seel used Brine! It's not very effective. - Valentine used Mega Drain! I saw no kiss.
What kind of joke is this?
Fine. You captured it. Remove a ball. You non-seeler.
