It was almost ironic that the one who consistently refused Meili a battle at the dorm was to be her opponent. She took a deep breathe, adjusted her hat, and got up from the bench she was sitting on. Meili was a lot more composed now, the confidence booster that was her last match was what she needed. She didn't get to see her opponent's match so she has no idea what was going to be in store for her.
Meili walked on to the arena and detached one of the Pokeballs from her belt. Her opponent has an Axew. That would mean that Ci is a likely candidate for this battle but her opponent has seen her Horsea and as such likely has prepared in a similar matter. Meili was sure who she was going to start out with this match though.
"Come on out, Du!" The pokeball opened and the Croagunk was sent out, the frog like Pokemon letting out a snicker. "Looks like we're getting that match I wanted." Meili commented. "I still have to apologize for my less than dignified state when you met me." Action: Meili sent out Du. |

Walking into the arena that he was assigned to for his second battle in he tournament. He had a name Meili, and she was in Lava Dorm just as he was. So he was thinking that Missy his Nosepass or Drago his Axew would be the best bet in the battle. But he would soon see what he was up against. Standing across the field from his opponent HD saw who it was. It was the girl from a couple nights ago. Aki smiled as she released her Croagunk onto the field. She was right she was getting the battle she wanted after all. "Looks like it. And don't worry about it. You were upset, it was just a bad night for you. Now good luck. Because this is where you exit" Aki said reaching in his pocket and grabbing a pokeball. Clicking the button he threw the ball. "Let's go Razor" The Honedge appeared and stared her blank star at the Croagunk. "Ladies first" He knew this was going to be a quick first round.
Action: Aki sent out Razor

"Looks like it and don't worry about it. You were upset, it was just a bad night for you. Now good luck. Because this is where you exit." Akihito prepared his Pokeball and threw it up, sending out a sword like Pokemon. Meili took out her pokedex to confirm the species of the Pokemon, Honedge. "Let's go Razor!" Du prepared herself to charge. "Ladies first."
"Du use Sucker Punch!" With hardly a seconds worth of hesitation, the Croagunk dashed across the field and ready to punch the Honedge in the main body area. Action: Du used Sucker Punch! |

Aki stood there very confident that the battle wasn't going to take very long. Croagunk was a Poison/Fighting type. And even with the Sucker Punch being a Dark type move and Razor being weak against them it was going to take a lot more than that to take her down. The Croagunk slammed its fist into Razor and the Honedge was damaged but only slightly Akihito got smile on his face and commanded the Steel/Ghost. "Razor, let's show her a little Swords Dance" The Honedge finally came to life and danced around the Croagunk powering up. Aki knew he had nothing to worry about with the defense of his Honedge.
Action: Razor used Swords Dance rising her Attack 2 stages.

The fist made successful contact and Du once more jumped back in the case that the sword retaliated. Oddly enough, it didn't. Du titled her head and looked over at Meili, Meili quickly pointing to her Pokemon to focus.
"Razor, let's show her a little Swords Dance." Meili eyed the movements of the Honedge. Swords Dance was an attack that greatly increased the physical power of a Pokemon. This wasn't exactly good since Croagunk isn't exactly known for durability. Even if Du had the species' other ability Poison Point, it'd do her no good here.
"Du, use another Sucker Punch!" The Croagunk once more sped over to the Honedge intending to slam her fist into the sword ghost creature once more. Action: Du used Sucker Punch! |

Aki watched as the girls Croagunk, Du looked on in confusion at Razors Swords Dance. The poison toad jumped at the command of its trainer to pay attention to the battle. Yeah, watch as Razor dominates you. Aki thought as he watched Du land another successful Sucker Punch on Razor. "Hang in there girl. You're doing great. Its gonna be over soon." He called out to his Honedge. He knew that with the Swords Dance powering up Razors attack stat this next will end the Croagunk. "Alright Razor, show her why we're going to win this tournament. Iron Head" Without hesitation the Honedge threw herself at the Croagunk.
Action:Razor used Iron Head. Base Attack power 80, Move Power 80+STAB+Swords Dance@100% accuracy

"Hang in there girl. You're doing great. Its gonna be over soon." The Honedge managed to endure two clean hits of Sucker Punch from her Croagunk. One more should do the trick.... "Alright Razor, show her why we're going to win this tournament. Iron Head." The Croagunk tried to move out of the way but the sword slammed its body unto Du, crushing her into the ground. Meili winced at the sight. Her Pokedex beeped stating that her Croagunk is no longer able to battle.
"You did a good job Du, get some rest." Meili eyed Akihito and her Honedge. She took him for granted. This only made her imagine what this Seira must be like. "Okay let's go!" She knew she was taking a risk sending this particular one out...but Saan is too much of a glass cannon and Ju is at risk seeing as her opponent is of the Lava Dorms. "Come on out Ci!" Meili threw out the Academyball containing her Horsea. The little seahorse let out an angry yelp. With two clean hits on it, her attack should be effective. "Ci use Brine!" Horsea huffed in a lot of air and then sent out a torrent of salt water at the Honedge. Action: Ci used Brine! |

Watching the Croagunk made him happy. That would mean he was one win away from the finals. Razor wasn't looking too good, he knew no matter what move she used next would take her down. After Meili recalled her Croagunk she stood there, he knew she was contemplating her next Pokémon. Watching her reach to he belt and throw out her final Pokémon. It we the little Horsea that she wanted to battle him with the other night. Hearing her call out the move Aki couldn't do anything but stand here and watched as the water took out Razor. "Fantastic job Razor, you are my MVP. Have a nice long rest." He said calling her back into the ball. Aki stood there and thought for a few moments. He couldn't send out Clementine she could just get pelted hard by that Brine. He was also pretty sure that the Horsea was female so that would mean Dragos moves would be 25% less power than they normally are. That only leaves Missy his shiny Nosepass. He wasn't feeling as confident has he was a few seconds ago but he wasn't going to show it.
Grabbing her pokeball and tossed it. "Let's dazzle her Missy" The golden Nosepass appeared out of the ball. It sparkled like it was lit up with lights. "Alright Missy, give that Horsea a rock slide"
Action: Missy used Rock Slide, Base Attack 45, Attack Power 75+STAB@90% accuracy

"Fantastic job Razor, you are my MVP. Have a nice long rest." Horsea's torrent of water did the floating sword the damage Meili needed. She was now wondering if he is going to send out that Axew next. Her Horsea knows Ice Beam and Dragon Pulse, it would be a quick match...or maybe he was prepared for that. "Let's dazzle her Missy." Meili's eyes widened at the sight of the large golden and big nosed Pokemon. She quickly took out her Pokedex to identify.
Apparently, this is a Nosepass, a Shiny one at that. Seems like Meili wasn't special with her blue nosed Diglett. That being said, Meili was questioning the decision of her Opponent. This was a rock type Pokemon. It was then she eyed the pokedex description, describing Nosepass as like a compass and can influence magnetism to a minor degree. Her eyes wandered back to the match.
"Alright Missy, give that Horsea a rock slide." Horsea, surprisingly managed to endure the barrage of rocks quite decently. Meili was confident however. An ice beam, then maybe a brine. That's all she needed to finish this.
"Ci use Ic-" Meili then noticed Horsea shuttering. "Crap." She whispered to herself. It seems that her Horsea was flinched. Horsea was now wide open for an attack. This is bad, Nosepass might known an electric attack. Action: Ci is flinched! |

Watching the rocks pummel the little sea horse Aki got a little more confidence back, then when she tried to attack and the Horsea flinched he got even more back. He had to plan his next moves very carefully he heard what he thought might he a Ice move. And he knew that ice moves had a chance of freezing Missy. Though he did know a move that may work just as well as Rock Slide. And then he could finish her off with a Earth Power. Aki called out to Missy. "Alright, give that Horsea a nice little Spark." The Nosepass started to spark and move toward the Horsea.
Action: Missy used Spark, Base Attack 45, Move Attack 65,100% accuracy
If its 1-3 its paralyzed

"Alright, give that Horsea a nice little Spark." Meili did not like where this was going. The golden Nosepass began to spark and charged in Horsea. The blue sea horse was hit by the large rock. She winced but then looked over to see her Horsea barely getting up. It might've taken a nasty hit but Ci can still continue.
"Alright!" Meili thought to herself. Her opponent heard her nearly call out Ice Beam. That means he does expect it to a degree now. "Ci use Brine!" The Horsea shot out a torrent of salt water over at the golden strange nose rock thing. Action: Ci used Brine! |

When the spark didn't paralyze the Horsea he wasn't worried. He knew he had this in his bag. Even if she used a water move. After Missy settled herself she looked at the tiny blue sea horse. She had more a blank stare than his Honedge. Just then the Horse shot a blast of salty water at Missy. Getting it hard Missy staggered but she was still hanging in there he knew any attack he has her do will end this. He just thought he would end with a grantee knockout "LLet's finish this Missy. Show her Earth Power" Missy slowly moved toward her opponent and launched her attack.
Action: Missy used Earth Power, Base Special Attack 45, Move Attack 90 @ 100% accuracy.

"LLet's finish this Missy. Show her Earth Power." Meili backed away as she watched the golden Nosepass unleash numerous shockwaves of earth over at Ci. Dust was kicked up all over Meili's side of the stadium. The smoke slowly began to clear. She was afraid this was going to happen. That flinch more or less costed her the match.
"Ci, return. Get yourself some rest." Meili opened her Pokeball and returned the unconscious seahorse. This was it huh? Meili did managed to keep herself composed. She just felt so disappointed right considering how much she dominated in the first round. She looked over at Akihito. "Thank you for the match." she bowed politely and then turned her back to her opponent. She really had nothing more to say.

Missy shot her powerful earth attack the Horsea. Moments later the dust cleared and the Horsea was out. Missy settered down and resumed her stoic expression. Watching the girl quickly recall her Pokemon and thank him a great match. She also bowed and turned her back toward him. "That was an amazing match. Don't feel bad, if it makes you feel better I though you had this after my Honedge was knocked out. We can have a rematch anytime, that Horsea is a stout little girl" Aki said recalling his shiny Nosepass. That flinch was just pure luck, she had him if that if Missy had missed or ddidn't get that flinch. With that done he turned and left to face whoever in the finals.
