This was it, the finals of the tournament. Benji still couldn't believe he had made it to this point, to be honest he hadn't even thought he would be able to get through the first round. So to be stepping into the final battle felt like a miracle to him. His stomach was churning with excitement and nervousness and it was all he could do to calm himself down. He had to be focused, this was it and there was no turning back now.
His opponent was Akihito a guy from the Lava Dorm. He hadn't ever personally met him, but he had gotten to the finals so he had to be pretty strong. That wasn't going to scare him though, he'd be ready for whatever this guy threw at him. He arrived first, releasing his first Pokemon. He knew it was a slight disadvantage to choose first, but he'd still be able to attack first so that was good. His Tyrunt Jade was looking around quite excited. She had been quite shy but after beating two Pokemon in the second round it was as if she found her confidence and strength. This would be interesting.
Action: Benji sent out Tyrunt. |

Akihito had just gotten his Pokémon back from the nurse when the announcement for the finals was starting. Putting the balls in his pocket he started to run to make there. He didn't want to come this far and be disqualified for not showing up. Finally reaching the arena he was assigned. He had looked at the bracket. He was going up against a Mana kid named Benji. So most like he was going to have a Dark or Psychic type, perhaps even both. After catching his breath he looked at the boy. He was confident, that he was probably as nervous as Aki was. He couldn't believe he won that last match but he was going to win this one.
Looking at the field it looked like he already had a Pokémon out. It was a Tyrunt, he knows every Dragon type. He knew Drago wouldn't last long. So he would have to send out his saving grace from his last match. "Let's do this Missy." Aki said reaching in and throwing a pokeball out into the field. With a sparkling display Missy the shiny Nosepass appeared. "Good luck"
Action: Aki sent out Missy

After a few minutes he noticed a guy running up, most likely Akihito. He nodded to his opponent, "Good luck to you as well." So Jade would be going up against a Nosepass, this would be interesting. He wasn't sure how it would turn out but he knew it would be a good battle. "Jade let's go, use Earthquake!" His Tyrunt nodded, stomping her feet hard on the ground and after a moment it began to shake violently. He knew this wouldn't one-shot the Nosepass, but it sure as hell would hurt.
Action: Tyrunt used Earthquake. BP 100 + Nosepass weakness = 200 damage. 100% Accuracy. |

Nodding to his opponent that didn't waste any time give a command to the Tyrunt. The tiny fossil stomped the ground making it rumble. Aki cringed knowing this was going to hurt badly. Luckily with Missy's awesomedefense she could wwithstand it. But she wasn't going to be able to take another one. Missy stood there waiting for Aki to tell her what to do. The boy thought for a few moments and then reacted. "Let's go and give that Tyrunt a Rock Slide" He knew he was taking a huge chance doing this move. But in the last battle it paid off and got him the win.
Action: Missy used Rock Slide, Base Attack 45, Move Power 75+STAB @90% accuracy.

Benji grinned as his attack hit dead on, one more of these and he'd only need to take out one other. Akihito ordered a Rock Slide and Benji hoped it would miss, but unfortunately that wasn't the case. Jade was hit with the onslaught of rocks though thankfully it didn't hurt her that much and even luckier she didn't flinch. A bright flash of a smirk graced his face as he waved out his hand towards his oppenent. "Jade finish it off with another Earthquake!" She let out a small growl of acknowledgement and yet again began stomping hard on the ground. She got more excited this time and even started to jump, hitting the ground as it began to shake like crazy. This would for sure down that Nosepass and hopefully the next Pokemon would fall as well. Though he still had to be on guard, he knew from previous battles that anything could happen.
Action: Tyrunt used Earthquake! |

"Damn" He said under his breath. It want going to be an easy battle and he knew this Benji knew what he was doing. Missy stood there oblivious to what was going to happen to her. The tiny dino growled and stomped the ground again. This time Missy toppled over and fainted. "That was great Missy. Time for a good rest." He recalledhhis shiny Nosepass and switched balls. He knew he had to use her, one hit had to take this Tyrunt down or close to it. "Show him what you got Razor" The bladed Pokémon hovered above then ground awaiting a command. "Hit that Tyrunt all you got. Iron Head" Razor sprung to life and threw herself at the baby T-Rex.
Action: Missy fainted; Razor was sent out and used Iron Head, Base Attack 80, Move Power 80+STAB@ 100% accuracy

Benji let out a sigh of relief as the Nosepass fell. He was one step closer to winning this tournament, one more step and this battle would be his. When Akihito released Honedge it made him a little nervous, that was a pretty strong Pokemon. It hit Jade hard with an Iron Head and he expected her to faint. Though somehow she was able to stay standing but he knew she had barely any health left and one more hit would be the end for her. Her legs wobbled as she struggled to stay up, she seemed in major pain but he knew she had at least one more attack in her. He knew this attack wouldn't down the Honedge but at least he could hurt it before his Tyrunt fainted. "I know you're tired but use one last Earthquake!" Jade let out an exhausted sigh but did as she was told. She stomped a few times, the earth beginning to shake below her feet.
Action: Tyrunt used Earthquake. BP 100 + Honedge's Weakness = 200 damage. 100% Accuracy. |

Aki stood there, after the three Earthquakes the Tyrunt had unleased on his team. He was defiantly going to nneed to have one on his team, plus it was part Dragon. Watching as Razor was hit hard by the quake, she bounced back but she wasn't going to last long if get got hit hard again. He wasn't going to go down without a fight. "Take her out with another Iron Head." One last time Razor flung herself at the dinosaur. This was going to take her out hut Akihitokknew he wasn't going to last long against Benji's next one. But he wasn't one to give up and quit, he was going to give it his all. Because he knew his was.
Action: Razor used Iron Head.

His exhausted Tyrunt was hit hard by another Iron Head but this time she was unable to keep standing and with a loud thud fell to the ground out cold. "You did a great job, time to rest," he said softly as he returned her. He thought only for a moment but knew exactly which Pokemon would be able to finish this fight. "Come on out Willow!" He said as he clicked the ball and his Zorua landed gracefully on the ground. She was already ready, her eyes totally focused on the Honedge. With the move he was going to order, Benji knew it would down the Honedge, this was it. "Use Shadow Ball, let's finish this!" Benji yelled confidently. It took a moment but Willow produce a large crackling ball of dark ghostly energy. She stared at her opponent and then flung the Shadow Ball as hard as she could. Benji watched with calm eyes and waited for it to hit.
Action: Tyrunt fainted! Benji sent out Zorua. Zorua used Shadow Ball! BP of 80 + Honedge's weakness = 160 damage. 100% accuracy. |

This battle was over the moment that third Earthquake happened. Benji totally had the type advantage in this battle. He knew that he had to have a Dark type. After the Tyrunt had fallen he watched his opponent send out a Zorua, he wasn't going to let that cute fuzz ball fool him. Watching at the Zorua built up the Shadow Ball and then launch it at Razor all Aki could do was stand there and watch. He had done way better than he though he was going to do. He had also gained experience for his pokemon. So that was a plus. After the dust settled Aki called back Razor. "You fought well girl." He was taking thus lose better than his first one. He hung his head low for a few moments. Then made his way across the field. Reaching his hand out. "That was an amazing battle. You just had the type advantage. Good luck in the future, and Congrats. Hope we can have a rematch."
Action: Razor Fainted: Benji is the Victor.

When the Honedge fell, Benji just stood there motionless. He even stopped breathing for a moment as his eyes were open wide in shock. Did he just actually win? Did he actually win the tournament? It was hard to believe, he hadn't even expected to get through round one and here he was the winner of the whole thing. Finally he breathed again, his mouth widening in a huge smile. He quickly ran over to Akihito and shook his hand with respect. "That was indeed an amazing battle, and yeah I just happened to have a slight advantage. You bet we'll have a rematch one day I look forward to it."
He let out a laugh of a mixture of relief, happiness and excitement. He had won! It would still take awhile to fully sink in but the feeling he had right now was amazing. He quickly returned Willow and grasped the pokeball tight in his hand. This whole tournament had given him and his Pokemon loads of experience. He could only imagine what else would happen in the future. With a skip in his step he left the arena, the smile on his face would probably be there for a week. |
