She supposed she'd been avoiding the place ever since she found out they were native to the particular area. Some didn't venture to the Blancblack Manor for it's reports of being haunted, or it's high population of ghost types and other nasties. For Vivienne Montmarche, she was just avoiding a reminder of her old friend she left back home. Not to mention even if she had found one her team wouldn't have been able to do much to it. Of course, that was then.
In a way, it made sense, she guessed, that she'd find them here. Even in it's run down state, there was still a bit of sophistication and grandeur to the place. Vivienne walked slowly into the main foyer, the electric lantern throwing a soft bluish glow. It was the same lantern she'd been carrying when she acquired Macaron in the ruins, and it only seemed appropriate to use it in a hunt for another steel fairy. She had brought several Pokemon with her, and several spare Academy Balls to boot. The normally shy or mischievous look in her eyes had been replaced by determination.

What appeared to be a drunk teddy bear walked past, but Vivienne didn't bother it; Spinda were cute, unpredictable in battle even, but they just weren't her style. She sighed, hoping the hallway she was heading for would be more fruitful. She doubted she'd find any other fairies in the place, given it's general demeanor, but she never knew. A tiny voice in the back of her mind questioned this fascination with the type, pointing out how well rounded successful Coordinators and trainers tended to be. Then again, when you considered Gym Leaders and Elite Four members, it was enough to keep her going.

When she entered the hallway, the girl practically squealed as she spotted a set of jingling keys floating on a rather noticeable Pokemon. The Klefki was as adorable as her own Lockpick had been. She grinned from ear to ear.
"Well hi there little one." She greeted it with a wave and drew an Academy Ball out of her bag. "I hope you don't mind this, but I'm going to catch you!"
The Klefki jingled it's keys angrily, it's little eyes narrowing at the challenge. Vivienne's grin widened, and she opted to release her Snubbull, Palmier. The Snubbull narrowed her eyes, her ability weakening the Klefki's offensive strength. The Klefki jingled it's keys slightly, one of them glimmering in fairy magic and turning itself. The whole battle field seemed to spark with fairy magic, and Vivienne glanced behind her to see that the exit was blocked by a thin barrier. So this Klefki could use Fairy Lock then? It was an interesting move that could lock an opponent into battle for a short time. She was half surprised it hadn't tried firing a Mirror Shot, but as the opportunity presented itself, she called out, "Thunder Wave!" Palmier complied, launching a weak charge of electricity at the Klefki. She grinned as the little key ring wriggled, the electricity sparking between them all. It still managed to move, a faint sickly miasma of black and purple swirling around it as it slammed into Palmier, driving her back. Foul Play too? An interesting moveset for a Klefki, and tricky to boot.
"Let's wrap this up Palmier! See if it can take an Earthquake!" Vivienne called. The Snubbull hopped into the air and slammed her feet into the ground; though the Klefki moved by floating, the tearing of ground and earth slammed into it and sent it down. It struggled to rise, but the electricity kept it stunned. "Give it a kiss goodnight with Fire Fang!"
The Snubbull launched herself forward before chomping down on the Klefki's key-ring with a mouthful of fire. The mini explosion didn't harm the Snubbull, considering it was her own attack, but the Klefki's ring loosened. Vivienne whipped an Academy ball at it, even before it hit the ground. She was starting to get good at this; good enough to catch it? She hoped so.

When the ball clicked, Vivienne picked up her Snubbull and spun her around. "We did it Palmier! You were great!" She hugged the dog, who despite her general grumpy look, smiled. The girl ran over, picking up the Pokeball. It was weird; her eyes were shiny a little. Vivi never really considered how emotional catching a Klefki might be for her. It wasn't quite full circle, but it was a good reminder of home.
"Of course," Vivienne said, speaking to the Snubbull still in her arms, "we can't keep comparing this little one to Lockpick, can we? Nope." The Kalosian stashed the Academy Ball in her bag carried the Snubbull one armed, the other holding out the lantern as they made their way back.
