The plateau that overlooked the majority of the island was certainly an interesting place for sight-seeing. As for how good it would be too look for Pokemon, Sonia would be finding out soon enough. The girl was hoping for something interesting. Perhaps something that not many people had? She was probably looking for something unique while still retaining the qualities that the girl looked for in a Pokemon. A barren plateau like this wouldn't exactly be the girl's first choice to search through, but the map she had said that there was definitely Pokemon here. The good part about being in such an open area was that it was easier to spot Pokemon from further away. Walking along the dirt path, the young girl began her search.

Sonia traveled across the barren plateau of Academy's Edge. It would be easy to spot something given how barren it was. Sure enough, the girl's first target came into sight rather quickly. It looked like a small dog Pokemon, frankly. Sonia was planning on evolving her weaker Pokemon, of course. Knowing this, the girl sent out her Krokorok. Open up with bite! Sending a surprise attack at the small blue dog, Sonia's Krokorok got a solid grasp on the enemy. Realizing that it was now in a bit of a jam, the enemy struck back with a feint.

It was a solid hit, but nothing Sonia couldn't beat. Use Bite again! Grabbing at the dog, Sonia's Pokemon went in for another chomp, adding to the enemy's wounds. Again, the enemy went for a feint causing a bit more damage to Krokorok. Again! Another chomp. The wild Pokemon knew that it was cornered. Going for one final burst, the enemy let out its remaining energy at the Krokorok, causing it to faint in the process. Sonia's Krokorok remained standing, but it had taken quite a beating. Sonia looked at the now fainted Pokemon. It was clearly a fighter. No, not the typing, but a real fighter. It was something that Sonia could definitely use. Maybe he would prove useful? Sonia decided to wrap this trip up quickly. It was better than spending a whole day outside looking for something only to come home empty handed. Tossing a Pokeball at the fainted Pokemon, the girl stretched before looking out towards her dorm. She was getting a bit hungry.
