Claude helped cut off the thorns with his leafy hand which proved to be useful for future endeavors in the forest of thorns. She arrived safely at the entrance of the thorny citadel as she had heard that a powerful fairy had sealed off the place to curious visitors. Recalling Claude back inside his Pokeball, she released her Lampent outside where he floated by her side as they made their way inside the citadel of prickly thorns. Henry was constantly assaulted by the thorns and had burned them at his leisure and whenever the opportunity arose to actually clear his way. Seems like the ghostly lamp didn’t like being assaulted by thorns, but that was the way that the citadel was made anyway. Today’s search would produce some interesting results and she might need a Breloom for her team since it had a monstrous attack to boot or maybe a tree ghost if that didn’t work out at all.

After a few minutes of walking through the thorny citadel, a female Breloom had been minding her own business until she saw the two of them. Immediately, she wanted a fight with the ghostly lamp. “Alright, start with Flamethrower!” The ghostly lamp released a stream of flames towards the mushroom kangaroo which hurt her pretty badly. She opened her mouth and a glowing white sphere somehow released seeds that exploded onto the lamp. Henry cringed in pain as the bomb hit him, but it wasn’t enough to take him down since it only did half-damage. “Again, use Flamethrower!” The ghostly lamp unleashed another stream of flames which visibly hurt the mushroom kangaroo and now, the kangaroo herself felt exhausted. She opened her mouth again as a glowing white sphere released seeds that exploded on the lamp again, causing half-damage to him. “One more Flamethrower should finish her off!” Again, the ghostly lamp released another stream of flames which dealt the finishing blow to the mushroom kangaroo. She fell to the ground unconscious and Alice threw an Academy Ball at the mushroom kangaroo in which she would actually come in handy.

The Academy Ball did its wiggling until it stopped and soon, the mushroom kangaroo was caught. She was proud of Henry for doing a good job and promptly returned him back inside his Pokeball. She decided that an introduction to her new friend would be in order and released the kangaroo outside where she looked silently at her new trainer. ”Hello there. I think we’ll be good friends with each other. Diantha, I think we should give Henry a well-needed rest, right?” The mushroom kangaroo nodded and together, they left the citadel of thorns and back to the academy where her dorm was. She felt a sense of happiness that a Fighting type would be the perfect bodyguard should the terrorist group come back for revenge. It seemed likely that there would be more dangers down the road and the mysterious team might come back for another invasion.
