Not in the Mood [open]

"No, no, no! Sit still!" Richard yelled, frustrated at how unruly the Mankey he obtained had turned out. Because the Commons was surprisingly empty, he figured it'd be OK to let the thing out, which turned out to be a rather awful idea. He tried to think of all his Pokemon, and if there were any this bad, but the only one he could come up with was his Seviper, who was more violent rather than unruly. Had Richard known of his temperament, he would've kept it in its pokeball until needed. But he didn't, so he was stuck dealing with a Mankey who insisted on harassing him. He could only feel happy that it was only targeting him and not actually breaking anything.
He wouldn't have minded so much had he not been holding the Eevee egg he had bought, but he was, so the Mankey running in between his legs and pulling his hood over his head was enough to make him quite irritated. The worst part was that the hyperactive rowdy Pokemon's Pokeball had rolled underneath the couch he was sitting in, so putting it away wasn't an option, or not at the moment anyway. He didn't want to put the Pokemon Egg down, though he felt like he had to in order to get that Pokeball. And so, he grabbed a Pokeball from his bag and let loose the Pokemon within. The Sylveon yawned, and then jumped on the couch.
"Can you watch this?" He asked it, handing the egg over to the Pokemon carefully, as the Mankey kept trying to trip him. The Sylveon tightly wrapped its feelers around the thing, and he thanked it, before kneeling down to reach under the couch. When he did, the Mankey latched onto his shoulders, happily kicking him in the back.
The only thing that could make this worse was if someone came around.

Tanya let out a sigh to herself, wondering back to the Commons in order to relax. Having had classes before, she wanted to take a break and if she went to the Commons, there was a chance she could talk to someone while relaxing. Maybe she was a motor mouth or something. If she was, people didn't seem to mind too much.
As she got closer to the Commons, she heard someone yelling. Her curiosity now peeked, she walked towards the Commons and looked inside, just to see a boy she had seen in her classes, trying to reach into the couch while a Mankey was going crazy and kicking him in the back.
She watched for a while, trying to gain a better understanding of what was going on. A Sylveon was there as well, taking care of a pokemon egg. Overall, the scene was odd. Then again, this school was probably never normal to begin with. After standing awkwardly for a moment, she eventually made her presence known to the boy.
"Hey, uhh, you want some help with that Mankey?" Tanya asked, sheepishly pointing at the Fighting pokemon.

"It has to be here somewhere..." Richard mumbled, moving his hand back and forth in hopes of finding the Pokeball to the Pokemon currently kicking at his back. He would be lying if he said it didn't hurt, but he did his best to ignore it. He couldn't help but feel that there was no malice coming from it, or at least that was his wishful thinking as he hadn't really done anything to deserve it. Right when he thought he could feel the ball, he heard someone ask him if he needed help. He ended up flinching and pulling his hand out from under the couch, losing its position.
He regained his composure, with the Mankey still on his back clearly having fun at his expense. He looked at who spoke to him, and couldn't help but recognize her. They never spoke or formally met, that he could remember anyway, but he did remember seeing her in a class before. As for the question, there was no way he would receive help from her. this was his problem that he needed to deal with. Even if said problem was, physically, a pain to deal with.
"I'm...I'm fine, ma'am. Just need to get this thing's Pokeball I managed to drop earlier." He said with a chuckle. He was embarrassed, and he also wanted to play it off as if the situation wasn't a problem so that she wouldn't feel inclined to push further. The Mankey then proceeded to climb up his back and jump off his shoulders, but he was fast enough to react and grab its legs. Now he had no way of going underneath the couch to get the ball, and no way of getting a smaller Pokemon to send it underneath to get it for him. He still didn't plan on asking help. He'd rather wait for the Mankey to get tired before putting it down.

"Ma'am? You don't need to be so formal with me." Tanya chided, smirking a little before realizing that the boy probably wasn't going to pay attention to her, his attention primarily focused on the Mankey. Letting out an exasperated sigh, she sent out her Serperior, Christopher, who looked at the sight of the trainer and pokemon with a judging look.
"You know, this would all be so much easier if you just ask for help. Mankeys can be notoriously hard to deal with if they get restless. I could just ask Christopher here to Wrap the pokemon and trap it until you get the pokeball." Tanya offered, Christopher looking at Tanya in a "are you serious?" look.
"Then again, it looks like you've totally got this under control." Tanya sarcastically retorted.

"I'm sorry Ma'am, I don't know what to refer to you by." He told her, sheepishly. The Mankey then attempted to scratch him with his free arms so that Richard can drop him, but it only made Richard grip on to his legs tighter. Next thing he knew, there was a rather serpent like Pokemon with the girl telling him he should ask for help. He knew she was correct, but he seriously didn't want to bother her about his issues.
The way she spoke, he realized that his plan of "waiting for the Mankey to get tired out" was probably one that wouldn't succeed. Holding the Mankey away from his body was already tiring his arms out anyway, and the back pains wasn't helping at all. He wasn't even sure how long it'd be before his arms turned to mush. He sighed in defeat before speaking up.
"You are right. I'm... I'm sorry but I'm going to need to ask for your help." She had already released her Pokemon and was, at least to him, insistent on helping so he couldn't just continue to say no either. He would need to find some way to pay her back.

"Well, my name is Tanya, so we can start of there." Tanya amusedly replied, crossing her arms. While she wouldn't tell him this, she did enjoy the situation she had found herself in. After taking some time to understand it, now that she understood what was going on, she could appreciate the humor of the situation.
"Christopher, Wrap the Mankey." Tanya ordered. Giving an indignant look before huffing, Christopher looked at the Mankey and darted, quickly wrapping his body and ensnaring the pokemon before the pokemon even had a chance to act. Christopher made sure he didn't accidentally ensnare the boy's hands as well, knowing that a situation like that could end badly.
"Since you know my name, I guess it's only customary to know yours." Tanya stated casually, looking over towards the Sylveon, before looking back at the boy.

He could only nod to her introduction. While he wanted to properly introduce himself, he couldn't bring himself to, not while preoccupied with the Pokemon in his hands. He heard the orders that Tanya gave, but wasn't expecting such a fast reaction, so when the serpent Pokemon grabbed on to the Mankey he flinched, let go, then nearly tripped over his own feet. He somehow managed to maintain his balance however.
With the Mankey out of his hands he went back down, and checked under the couch once more. "My name is Richard." He stated simply. "It's nice to meet you." Of course this was an odd thing to say given the circumstances. Especially since there 'meeting' wasn't really...normal to say the least. But he had no clue how else to phrase it. He felt around again, and then grabbed the Pokeball when he came into contact with it. He then proceeded to return the Mankey with a sigh, glad that this was over with. He sat down and starting petting his Sylveon, thanking it for taking care of the egg the entire time. He was going to make sure that if he was ever to check up on a Pokemon it would be outside and not indoors.
"Thank you. And I'm sorry you had to see that, as well as needing you to help out as well." He told her with a half smile. He couldn't help but feel like a giant wreck.

Tanya gave a small wave to Richard as he dug around in the couch, wondering what he was getting. When he appeared with the pokeball, Tanya finally caught up just as he was returning the Mankey to his pokeball. "It's nice to meet you too Richard." Tanya stated in response, a wry grin on her face.
She let out a little chuckle in Richard's response, finding his reaction to the scenario a little adorable as she went about reassuring him. "Don't worry about it! Pokemon can be hard sometime. You probably shouldn't hesitate to ask for help though. After all, if I wasn't there, that probably would've ended much worse."
There was probably no need to hold back the truth. She paced to the other side of Richard, afterwards moving towards her Serperior, stroking him while he let out a satisfied hiss. "Nice Sylveon you've got there. She your starter?" Tanya asked, finding a way to make conversation.
