Vivienne walked through the flowers casually; she'd spent so much time lately training her Pokemon and hunting more that she hadn't taken the time to really stop and smell the proverbial roses. The thought brought a slight tweak to her lips, considering she'd finally gotten Marmalade to evolve from Budew to Roselia, to blossom, as it were. The first in a long line of steps she needed to take in order to become the sort of trainer she wanted to be. Still, she kept her eyes open. You never knew what could appear in the flowers of the Garden, after all. A decent portion of her team was either caught there, or native to it in a fashion. She patted the Academy Balls in her bag reassuringly for a moment; she had a whole slew of fairies to throw at anything that tried to pull something on her.

The sudden appearance of the Espurr was a little off-putting, to be frank; she hadn't even heard it coming up, but one moment she was plucking a wilting petal from an otherwise healthy flower, and the next Vivienne was staring down at the wide pink eyes of the cat Pokemon. It didn't make a sound, simply blinked and stared. The intensity of it's gaze sent a small chill down Vivienne's spine, and the Pokedex entry about it's suppressed psychic powers made this little kitty one Pokemon she'd rather not play with. The girl smiled, and walked around it in a wide berth. Thankfully, besides for turning to watch her, the Espurr didn't make a move. When she was on the other side, Vivienne picked up her pace to put some distance between herself and the Espurr.

The next Pokemon she ran across was a Pancham, and while she couldn't deny it was adorable, she also knew exactly what type it was; given that they were native to her home region, Vivienne had seen her fair share of Pancham and Pangoro. Fighting types just weren't her style, even if they did go a little dark. She walked past the little bear Pokemon, who was practicing Karate Chops on flower stalks, without a sound. Maybe another trainer would come along to stop it's destructive little training regiment, maybe not. It's not like it was any of her business anyways.
She didn't need to check a watch to realize it was getting a little late; she had made plans for the evening, so Vivienne knew she was going to have to turn back.

When she finally cleared the thicket of flowers she'd been working through, Vivienne's eyebrows rose slightly. She didn't think she'd been getting that close to the lake, but a large pool of water had formed and the plants seemed to be getting more marsh-like. The ground was squishy where she was standing, and playing in the shallow water was what she first mistook for a Cleffa, until it shook some mud off. Not a Cleffa....
The Pokedex confirmed the mystery Pokemon as Happiny, the Baby form of Chansey and Blissey. She recalled the nurse Pokemon then, and sighed lightly. Vivienne had been hoping for another fairy, but she'd found a normal type, which Mille-feuille covered nicely. She sighed. Then again, it wasn't like Happiny or their evolutions were known for being physical power houses.... She could use this sweet little pink thing as a punching bag. Especially since she was already in a wading pool of water.
"Licorice, come on out and Tackle it!" Vivienne called, releasing her Feebas from his Pokeball. The Fish landed in the shallow water with a thud and splash. It wasn't even deep enough to cover his eyes, but it did let him move around much easier with his fins. The Happiny turned, only to be slammed by the Feebas with a Tackle. The pink baby stood up with a cry before running forward, trying to use a Sweet Kiss on the Feebas. Just as he had when she'd captured him with Marmalade, the Feebas avoided the inaccurate status move by flopping to the side. "Again, another Tackle!"
The Happiny was slammed into the mud again. Vivienne felt the slightest twinge of guilt, but she had to press on. Baby Pokemon were difficult to raise as it was, as were Pokemon like Feebas. The best way she could think to get them battle experience was against one another.
The Happiny stood up and pouted at the Feebas. Charming it to lower it's attack? Not a bad move, but it wasn't going to save it yet. "Keep on Tackling it until that thing goes down!" Vivienne called. The Feebas complied, ramming into the Happiny again. It didn't do nearly as much damage as the first two, but the happy baby wasn't so happy or healthy anymore. It replied with a Pound, but let's face it: Happiny's physical prowess was abysmal. One more Tackle from Feebas and the Happiny was launched backwards into a rock, unconscious. Vivienne sighed at the conclusion of the battle.
"Get her onto the bank of the pool, would you?" She asked her Feebas, who shoved the Happiny out of the water. Even if she'd been a decent punching bag, there was no need to let the little thing drown. "Good job out there Licorice." Vivienne said, stooping to pat the fish on the head. He narrowed his eyes in annoyance slightly, but she returned him to the ball all the same.Fought for EXP{Battle Summary} Feebas used Tackle! Happiny used Sweet Kiss! It missed! Feebas used Tackle! Happiny used Charm! Feebas's attack drops 2 Stages! Feebas used Tackle! Happiny used Pound! Feebas used Tackle! Critical Hit! Happiny fainted! Got Happiny to dry land. Left
