"Get the Duskull out of here with Dragon Tail!" Meili almost wanted to scream "Of ****ing course" but thankfully she had enough self control that moment. The Rhyhron ran up to the Duskull and some how managed to slam it away from him with his tiny tail. The force sent Ye back into the Pokeball and Meili noticed one of the switches of her Pokeballs got pushed by the force. Now in front of her was Charmeleon...back to where they started.

"Darnit, we'll improvise from here! Penn use Power-up Punch!!" The Charmeleon took a focused deep breathe before charging at the Rhyhorn with his fist ready to slam into the creature. Just a few strikes...a few strikes and we're good...

Tanya thanked herself for having the foresight to give Brock Dragon Tail. Seeing the Charmeleon come back onto the field was almost too good to be true and the frustration on Meili's face gave away that she wasn't too happy about the chain of events. The follow-up desperation attack betrayed her feelings as well. Tanya watched as the Rhydon was easily able to shrug off the super-effective attack, taking nearly no damage from the attack. A jeering smile stretched across the Rhydon's face as he stood strong, ready to battle.

"Pierce your foe with Stone Edge!" Tanya declared, realizing she was taking another risk with the move. While it was very tempting for her to attack with Earthquake, by revealing the Duskull, Tanya knew that the pokemon would be able to completely ignore the move due to her ability. While Stone Edge had the chance to miss, it also had the chance of hitting the pokemon Meili might switch into hard.

Stamping hard into the ground, Brock caused some sharp rocks to jump off the ground and appear in the air. Using his energy, he caused the rocks to levitate for a second before shooting them at the Charmeleon, the rocks flying at a breakneck pace towards their intended target. Tanya chewed her lip, hoping that the attack would hit.

Meili's eyes widened as the Rhyhorn resisted the impact of the punch. Shit, and she got the feeling her opponent wasn't going to be generous enough for her to let her get in some more attacks. Penn jumped back after landing the punch, his power slightly heightened. Meili just had to hope that he could make use of the increased power...

"Pierce your foe with Stone Edge!" Or her luck could get even shittier. The Rhyhorn soon created numerous floating rocks and launched them over at Penn. The Charmeleon punched to destroy one rock but was soon barraged by the other ones. It was an instant defeat. Meili quickly returned Charmeleon and then sent out her Seadra.

"Ci!" She hated this. She already lost one of her aces and is now being forced to use her second one. "Brine!" Ci took a large deep breathe and unleashed a blast of salt water over at the Rhyhorn.

Tanya breathed a sigh of relief when she saw the Stone Edge hit. Knocking out the Charmeleon almost immediately, he was promptly replaced by a Seadra, that utterly annihilated Brock in a single attack. There was no way to keep up against the attack and while Brock tried to stay strong, he eventually collapsed on the floor, destroyed in a single move.

"Awesome job Brock." Tanya told the pokemon as she sent him back to his pokeball. "Nice Seadra Meili!" Tanya called out, looking for another pokeball she had. While she wanted to send out Christina, the threat of the Diglett caused her to consider otherwise since Chrisitina only had electric type moves. Instead, she wanted to try out one of her pokemon that she hadn't used in a Trainer battle before.

"Make your debut Seria! Calm Mind and bolster yourself!" Tanya declared, sending out her Duosion. Appearing on the field, she dopily stared forwards before closing her eyes, surrounding herself in a faint white light and boosting her stats in preparation for the battle. She was curious to see how it would go. After all, this was her first time using her in a competitive scenario.

Action: Brock has fainted! Seria the Duosion sent out! Seria used Calm Mind! Special Attack and Special Defense raised!

"Awesome job Brock." Tanya called back her Rhyhorn. "Nice Seadra Meili!" Meili can't help but to turn a little red. So...was this pride in one's starter that one refers to? She quickly shook her head. She needs to concentrate on this battle. "Make your debut Seria! Calm Mind and bolster yourself!" The girl then sent out a green blob like Pokemon. Meili raised her pokedex to see that it was identified as a Duosion.

"Better go for broke! Ci use Smoke Screen!" The Seadra inhaled and then exhaled a large cloud of black smoke. If Ci can't hit Duosion hard, then she can at least make it difficult for the blob to see.

Tanya frowned when Seria's accuracy was lowered. It was probably a minor problem at best, but it still was pretty annoying to deal with. She was glad a move like that wasn't used on Daniel. It would probably spell disaster in the long run, especially due to Jump Kick's less than ideal drawback. Still, it was probably only a minor problem at worst.

"Come on Seria, concentrate and try to hit the Seadra with Psychic!" Tanya shouted, hoping that Seria's high Special Attack would be enough to finish off the Seadra. Seria stood, trying to look at Seadra and use her psychic energies to throw the Seadra around and then smash her into the floor. The Smokescreen could help, but it probably wouldn't be too harmful. At least, that's what Tanya hoped.

"Come on Seria, concentrate and try to hit the Seadra with Psychic!" Meili looked at Ci braced herself...and nothing happeneing. It seems the smoke screen worked! Meili smirked as she realized this was her chance...to further screw over that Duosion over. She just needed a few more preparations.

"Ci use smokescreen again!" Meili is planning one of two things. She could force a switch or making Duosion's task of hitting the Seadra even more frustrating. Even if Duosion eventually managed a hit, Meili had more than a few back ups waiting to give Duosion a surprise. Ci once more inhaled and the exhaled more smoke over at the Duosion.

Action:
Ci used Smokescreen!

Of course she missed. Maybe her luck was going too well or something. Whatever the case was though, it seemed obvious that Meili wasn't going to make things easy for her. She liked that. Meant that she was going to get a decent challenge at the very least. Meili didn't go on the offensive, instead relying on worsening Seria's accuracy even more. Even if she had to repeatedly attack, she was going to get a move in eventually.

"Psychic again!" Tanya called out, seeming undeterred by the prospect of lower accuracy. Seria tried to use her psychic powers again. She wasn't going to drop the offensive anytime soon and she wanted to keep the pressure on Meili. Maybe she should consider some better tactics in the future.

"Psychic again!" A psychic force shot out of the smoke and sent Ci crashing into the nearby wall. The seahorse collapsed unconcious. Meili went over and gave the Seadra a gentle stroke on her head before returning her. Meili looked over at the fog of smoke still there. She readied her next Pokemon. There was no question who she was going to start off with.

"Du!" The Toxicroak was sent out, smirking at her arrival. "Sucker Punch!" The Toxicroak dashed across the field and through the smoke. It sent a quick and powerful fist to slam into the Duosion.

Tanya noticed the smirk on Meili's face when she sent out the Toxicroak. Indeed, a Sucker Punch was all it took for the Toxicroak to knock out Seria, a pokemon not really known for her defenses. Returning her Duosion to her pokeball, she looked amused. "Congrats on evolving your Croagunk." Tanya said to Meili, getting out another pokeball. Holding out the pokeball in her hand, she smirked confidently at Meili.

"Unfortunately, I've got ways to deal with that. Derrick, reveal your new form and swoop in with Brave Bird!" Tanya declared, opening her pokeball to reveal her Braviary, Derrick. As soon as he appeared, he flew into the air, soaring higher and higher until he was high in the sky. At some point, Derrick tucked in his wings and fell to the ground, flames gathering around him as he did so. When he was close to hitting the floor, he opened out his wings and changed his trajectory, the flames turning blue as the flew towards the Toxicroak. Eventually, he smashed into the Toxicroak with all of his power, taking damage from the recoil he received in the attack.

Action: Seria has fainted! Derrick has been sent out! Derrick attacks with Brave Bird!

"Congrats on evolving your Croagunk." Tanya began as she returned her Duosion. "Unfortunately, I've got ways to deal with that. Derrick, reveal your new form and swoop in with Brave Bird!" Meili looked in amazement at the large eagle that her opponent sent out. Her pokedex identified it as a Braviary. Her amazement didn't last long though. The eagle managed to spread his wings and smash into Du. Meili watched as the Toxicroak flew past her and crashed into the wall...seriously that wall behind Meili is getting popular for the wrong reasons.

"Return." Meili looked over at Braviary. Maybe now is the perfect time to test this little guy out. "Come on out Ye!" Meili sent out her Duskull. She has two Pokemon left, however, she can make the best of this situation. "Ye, use Will-o-Wisp!' The Duskull started to create a sphere of blue fire and flung it over at the Braviary.

Action:

Having sent out the Duskull again, Tanya could clearly see why she wanted to use the Duskull in the first place. Burn was a very obnoxious status effect and could most definitely had an influence over how well she would've done against the pokemon. Luckily for her though, Derrick wasn't going to have to deal with a Burn as he swooped to the side, dodging the attack.

"Awesome job Derrick!" Tanya called out, beaming at him. "Second verse, same as the first! Brave Bird once more!" The Brave Bird damage was accumulating, but Tanya realized that the only pokemon that were left were Duskull and Diglett. Even if her Braviary got knocked out by the Diglett, she still should have enough of an advantage to win. She smirked at Meili, brimming with confidence about the match.

Action: Derrick the Braviary used Brave Bird!

The Braviary dodged out of the way of the fireball. Meili's eyes slanted as her eyes then shot towards the Pokedex. It would've been great if the attack hit. Braviary's are apparently physical attack based in nature.

"Awesome job Derrick!" Tanya called out. "Second verse, same as the first! Brave Bird once more!" Meili winced once more as she watched the large eagle slam into the Duskull. Even if Duskull wasn't hit by the earlier dragon tail, that would've been a sure hit. Meili looked at her last Pokemon. Meili's Charmeleon, Seadra, Toxicroak, Scyther, and Duskull are out. Where as Tanya's Rhyhorn and Duosion are knocked out. Saan was the only one left. She took a deep breathe.

"Saan come on out!" Meili chucked the Pokeball and out came the blue nosed Diglett. "Saan use Rock Slide!" The Diglett dug into the ground and unleashed a torrent of rocks over at the Braviary. It might be powerful but the user in Meili's situation has accumulated the recoil damage twice.

The flinches were starting to take a toll on the Braviary, the pokemon panting as it landed from the second attack. While it had succeeded in defeating two of the pokemon that Meili had sent out, she knew there was only one left. Indeed, the Diglett came out and promptly rained down and knocked out the Braviary. Returning him to his pokeball, Tanya thought for a moment who she wanted to use.

"Come on Flect!" Tanya shouted, releasing her Bronzor, who floated in the air. "Flect, use Heavy Slam and smash the Diglett!" Flect started to spin. Spinning faster and faster, it flung itself towards the Diglett, using all of its weight to attack the Diglett. The differences in weight hopefully meant that a lot of damage would be inflicted.

Action: Derrick fainted! Flect the Bronzor is sent out! Flect used Heavy Slam!

Saan managed to secure her a victory thanks to the conditions that were laid out. However, Meili is now at Tanya's mercy. Her opponent still has three Pokemon left. That's not even getting into that absurd Musharna that she still has. Unless Saan suddenly gets super strength, Meili doesn't see how she'll get through his.

"Come on Flect!" Meili's opponent sent out what she could only describe to be a floating metal sand dollar. A Bronzor apparently. "Flect, use Heavy Slam and smash the Diglett!" The Bronzor flew through the air, spinning over and slamming into Saan. Meili was frightened she'd get another one hit knock out...but Saan surprisingly made it out okay. Though not exactly in good condition.

"Use Sucker Punch!" Saan quickly dug into the ground for a moment and then came out and threw a fist sized pile of dirt at the Bronzor with great speed.
