It was quite awkward riding on a Poliwag to get to the island. Let's just say Benji got quite wet, but it was the only way to get here so he had to deal with it. He'd have to invest in getting a bigger Pokemon to get him here next time if he returned. Even though it was still day time this place just seemed dark. It gave an ominous feeling as a shiver snaked up his spine. He'd rather just turn and go back to his dorm, but he knew there were some very powerful Pokemon here, so it should be worth it. He returned his Poliwag and started his trek on the island. It seemed very quiet, almost too quiet in a way. Though just looking around he saw absolutely nothing. No one else seemed to be here today, so he was most likely alone...aside from the Pokemon who were hiding and most likely closer than he thought. He felt like calling out to see if anything would show up, but he also didn't want to scare anything away. So he opted to just stay quiet and explore. He was bound to find something sooner or later right?
Current Team: Zoroark, Tyrantrum, Charmeleon, Pikachu, Escavalier, Poliwag.

There was a creepy looking forest area on the island, and even though he really didn't want to he ended up venturing inside anyway. It was full of shadows and just felt like jumping into a nightmare. He wondered what this place even was, there had to be some significance to it right? He cracked his neck a big and let out a huff as he continued through the ominous woods. No reason to be scared right? He had Pokemon to protect him, but he wasn't the type to be scared anyway. "Dussssss......clops." A low moaning voice drifted out from the darkness.
Benji couldn't help but let out a high pitched yelp as it startled him, he lost his balance and fell straight on his behind. "Ow..." he grumbled, getting up and brushing himself off. His face grew warm as he looked around and was glad no one was here to see him scream like a little girl. Clearing his throat he looked around and saw a single glowing red eye. Assuming the noise it made he was almost 100% sure it was a Dusclops. "Go scare someone else," he said and went off in another direction. He'd look for something else, and this time he wouldn't get scared.

The deeper he ventured into the forest, the darker it seemed to get. He thought he could see the sunlight way up through the trees, but for some reason the light didn't reach into the forest. It was cold even with his jacket on and he shivered, wrapping his arms around himself. Something else better show up soon or he might just end up going back to the main island. Just as he thought that a large Zoroark walked across his path. It stopped, looked over at him for a few moments silently. After it decided Benji wasn't a thread it kept going and disappeared into the darkness again. He already had a Zoroark so he didn't plan on following it. Perhaps someone else would find it. Shrugging he continued on into the dark creepy woods. He would have one more chance to find something before he had to get back to the academy.

It was getting dark, well at least he thought it was. It was hard to tell in this thick forest, it was always dark in here. Yet the sunlight he had seen above him was getting harder to see, so it had to be getting late. Aside from the few sightings of Pokemon he had seen before, he hadn't run into anything else yet. He walked for about twenty minutes before finally hearing something. It sounded like the clanking of metal but he wasn't quite sure. Something floated from the side of his vision and he spun around on guard. A large Pokemon made up of two sharp swords just floated by him. It didn't seem aggressive but he wasn't sure. "Hey there..." Of course the Doublade didn't respond but it drifted a bit closer to him.
This was a very unique Pokemon, and it would be a good addition to his team. Quickly he released his Charmeleon and ordered an attack that would down the steel/ghost type. "Use Fire Blast, now." Duncan seemed a bit freaked out but listened. After a moment he shot out a giant blast of fire right at the swords. It tried to float to the side and dodge, but the flames were faster and smashed right into the Doublade. It stayed afloat for a moment, just hovering above the ground, and then with a loud clash of metal it fell. "Good job Duncan," Benji said with a grin as he tossed a ball at the Doublade.
Action: Charmeleon used Fire Blast. OHKO. Attempted to catch.

"That was easy," he muttered as he scooped the ball up and stashed it in his bag. He had a nice assortment of Pokemon now, it was time to start making a concrete team. Though he still felt the itch to collect even more. Gotta catch them all right? Once he went back to the dorm, ate, and rested, he'd go back out somewhere to find even more to add to his collection. After all it was good to have a large selection to pick from for different situations. Plus he wanted to get the hell out of this creepy forest anyway and his stomach growling agreed to that. |
