The day before, Vivienne had trekked nearly to the lake looking for a rather specific Fairy-type Pokemon. It was the first time on any of her catching adventures that she'd left a little dissappointed, considering she hadn't found what she was looking for. That being said, the Happiny had provided her Feebas a safe training session when she had the fish beat the ever-living hell out of it with his Tackle attack. Grooming Licorice had provided the pair with bonding time, though grooming a fish was a little bit tricky. Some people would've given up the search, or at least gone looking for something else, somewhere else. Vivienne wasn't that kind of person. When she wanted something, she went for it; even if it meant stepping on other people's toes or beating the pulp out of a Wild Pokemon for a little experience.
[Preferred Spawns: Togepi (Serene Grace if possible)]

Coming across the Patrat, Vivienne's lip pulled up into a veneer of disgust as she walked past. There was ugly with a tinge of cute, like a Feebas or Magikarp, then there was cute beaten with an ugly stick like Patrat; she didn't acknowledge it in the slightest. Let some other rookie beat the stuffing out of the rodent, because Vivienne Montmarche had bigger fish to fry. Or eggs, considering what she was hunting. The image of a Togepi-omelette entered her head, and she made an even bigger face of disgust. Eating a bird Pokemon's eggs was one thing, but an adorable little Togepi? She couldn't even think of it.
She heard a shuffling further down in one of the thickets, poking her head through to see if anything worthwhile was hiding inside.

Two days of searching had finally paid off! Within the thicket she came across what was, undeniably, one of the cutest Pokemon in the world. Togepi was rustling through some dirt and weeds, looking for something, but when he turned around to stare at the human who'd interrupted him, he gave her a look that practically screamed, What do you want?
Her lips tweaked into a small grin at the little bugger, and she produced a Pokeball from her bag with a smile. The Togepi sighed lightly; for a baby Pokemon, he seemed a little world weary already. Even so, the Spike Ball Pokemon waddled out of the thicket and into the path, giving the pair a bit more breathing room and space to fight. At least he wasn't trying to run away.
"Let's do this, Licorice!" Vivienne called, releasing her Feebas onto the path. The fish Pokemon flopped, inelegantly, for a few moments before righting himself. He balanced on his fins in the path, looking slightly peeved to be fighting out of water. Still, they had to do something, right? Experience wasn't just going to waltz in for them.
"Let's go Surfing Licorice."
The Feebas slapped it's fins against the ground, releasing a wave of water from it that it rode slightly before the water passed, slamming into the Togepi. It wasn't the most powerful usage of the move, but it was the strongest that Licorice had. Vivienne had worked a while to get the HM to teach him something worth while; she was grateful that Feebas could at least learn some interesting attacks, unlike their counterparts Magikarp.
The Togepi weathered the wave; she guessed it wasn't surprising, considering they were known for their defenses instead of their offensive capability. Of course, that seemed to be proven wrong too when the Togepi conjured a series of small floating rocks, ringed in strange opalescent energy, and launched them at Feebas. Ancient Power was a mysterious, and more importantly beautiful, move. When Licorice was struck, he was driven back. It seemed to do as much damage to him as their Surf had to him, if not more. Interesting.
"Surf again!" Vivienne called. The Feebas launched another mini-wave, and once more the Togepi was still standing when the waters cleared. At least this time it looked a little beat up. The Spike Ball launched another volley of rocks, and Vivienne groaned slightly when Licorice was driven back by them. The Feebas seemed to be in slightly worse shape than the Togepi by then. "Don't let up Licorice, I believe in you! Surf!"
The wave struck once more, and finally the Togepi was showing some noticeable wear and tear. The last attack left it in worse condition than Feebas, but it still had a move up it's sleeve. The battle in and of itself hadn't been too exciting thus far; neither had strayed from a single move. Luckily for Vivienne, the Togepi's Ancient Power hadn't activated. If it had, that would've been rather unfortunate. The Togepi, for his part, seemed a little peeved he'd been interrupted in whatever he was doing, but actually had a small smile on his face now. Was he enjoying himself a little? Perhaps. He decided to go for a retaliatory attack on the fish; charging forward, the Togepi slammed into Licorice with a Double-Edge! The fish went down, and so did the Togepi from the recoil damage. Vivienne tossed a ball at it, hoping for the best.{Battle Summary} Feebas used Surf! Togepi used Ancientpower! Feebas used Surf! Togepi used Ancientpower! Feebas used Surf! Togepi used Double-Edge! Feebas fainted! Togepi took Recoil Damage! Togepi fainted!
