Nia let out a yawn as she finally got out of the girl's dressing room. It had taken her almost half a hour to get someone to help her get her swimming gear on, but it was probably going to be worth. It was a rather basic thing, just a one piece blue suit and two floaties attached to her stumps, but it was perfect for her. She then wobbled over to the edge of the pool, awkwardly looking around before jumping into the pool.
It took her a while to get used to the water, but after she did she slowly gained a satisfied smile to her face, simply floating there and letting her whole body feel the water around itself.

“Phew!” Cameron grunted with satisfaction plastered on his face. He wiped his forehead of the hard earned sweat that began to trickle down from his matted head. “Gotta love a great workout!” The muscle man cheered, strolling down the athletic fields, towards the pool. With a towel wrapped around his neck and his gym shorts from his workout on, he didn’t very much care if the clothing smelling of sweat got wet, he’d have to do wash his laundry anyway. When he reached to school’s pool he tossed his towel away and dived right in.
The cold water gave no resistance as the large man breached its surface. The water instantly cooled the young man off, kicking his way back to the surface, he opened his mouth and gasped with a resounding “Pah!” He swam his way near the edge of the pool and noticed another person there. “Yo!” he introduced with his usual wide grin. Ever the sociable person, Cameron swam his way towards the person. “Name’s Cameron” he introduced. “Nice to meet ya.” He stretched his arm out for a handshake. Looking at the person in front of him, the young man noticed a rather glaring problem. “No arms. . .” He slapped his hand over his mouth, groaning in pain and regretting hitting himself so hard.
The man gave a deep sigh, “Sorry about that.” He apologized, scratching his head in embarrassment. “S’like, uh. . . I’ve only seen war vets and stunt runners with no arms, but a schoolgirl. I mea-" he slapped a hand over his mouth once more. The wet appendage gave considerable pain, a second time no less to the young man. “Oww. I deserved that.” He tried his best looking at her face, but his eyes always drifted to the. . . "stubs" that replaced her arms, dressed with floats to help her swim. It was tense, at least he was tense. For the first time in however long he could remember at that moment, Cameron was at a loss for words. His mind raking for a way to make amends for his staring. "I'm uh . . . sorry. S'rude to stare y'know? Ma to'd me that but it's hard." he flinched at his own words. He didn't want to think of how this girl lived. Hell, he lived with arguably the best arms on Harmonia. Yeah he's seen people with average arms at best, but for him to see someone with no arms at all. . . "God. . . this is uncomfortable." he whispered to himself, knowing full well he was causing his own discomfort.

Nia simply stared as the boy went trough his stages of awkward, her head tilted slightly before she then begun to snicker. After a while, the snicker turned into a whole grin, along with a loud, loud laugh. After a long while of simply laughing and drifting along due to it, Nia let out a loud breath.
"Oh, heheh.... Sorry, sorry." She then coughed for a moment, returning her face to it's usual deadpan look before speaking. "It's no problem if you're staring. I mean, having no arms IS something people would notice, right? I got used to people staring after I was born with so... Y'know, disabled arms that they had to be removed almost right after birth."
Nia then held her floatie-d out stump to Cameron. "Name's Nia."
