Colorful Conversation [Nia]

Nia smiled a bit as she continued to lie there, raising her head a bit to look to the girl. "Thanks for the offer, but I'm pretty sure my pokemon aren't gonna evolve or train a lot." She smirked a bit, stroking her left cheek against her left shoulder. "Kristoff doesn't really have the drive, Klavier seems to be more fine with simply being... Klavier, and Maya seems to be the only one with a real drive to fight at all."
She then let her head back against the pillow for a while. She then abandoned her monotone for a more cheering tone. "But I guess some minor training wouldn't hurt from time to time."

"Don't worry too much about it." Vivienne said when the other girl answered a bit apathetically over the prospect of battling. "Some people like battling, others like Coordinating, or Breeding, or just exploring." She glanced at one of the papers on her desk, "There's actually a class to teach young trainers about exploration and basic survival around the island. Probably works in other places too. You could take that class maybe?" She offered. Who knew what you were liable to see traveling around; probably a ton of stuff to paint or to draw was tucked away in hard to find places. All Nia had to be was willing to look.

"Eh. Kind of hard to try and explore places with no hands." She shrugged her stumps for emphasis. "Sure, I could try and use a flying pokemon, but staying on top of one without hands would be hard too. Same for land based pokemon without a good custom saddle." The idea did raise some interest in her, but in the end she just didn't find it something she should pursue. "Sure, I'll take enough classes to pass trough all of this stuff, but eh... Wish there were art classes."
She was still not exactly sure why there was nothing like that. Maybe it just didn't fit the central theme or maybe people just had no interest.

The girl was a little dismissive of the idea, but hey, Vivienne had tried, right? She considered the last thought out of Nia's mouth. There really weren't very many electives she'd heard of, but...
"Well, what about an art club? Clubs get rooms to themselves during meeting times that aren't in use, and I bet if you wrote a request to the Headmaster you could use one of the bigger ones so there might be storage space." She glanced around her own room, "Goodness knows I don't have enough myself. Just imagine if I did get a roommate." She laughed at this. Of course, if she did join another club, that would be spreading herself a bit thin, wouldn't it? Contest Club was just starting up, and she had only just gotten caught up in her class work for her late transfer. On top of that, she'd just made friends with Amethyst to boot! Goodness knew what those two were bound to get up to outside of classes and Contest Club, after all.
Still, having a place to keep her supplies to sew and craft the costumes besides for her room might be nice...

"That's now three people who I've talked about the idea with. Maybe I should do it. Maybe." She grinned to herself. "I'm not sure if I'm the type to do club management, though. I mean, I do have someone who could be the vice president, but still." She shrugged her shoulders a bit.
"Maybe I'm just being lazy or overly negative. Or both. Lazily negative." She rolled her eyes. She did admit that she might be a little too lazily negative about the whole thing. Maybe do some public event to see if she could gather any momentum or any interested people.

Nia seemed content to muse aloud on her bed on her laziness and negativity regarding everything. Vivienne didn't make a comment, but a few thoughts flickered through her mind as she considered what the girl had said. What harm could come of being a little optimistic, right? Still, she didn't say anything to the girl. Better to play the part of innocent idiot.
"Well, this place is what you make of it, right?" Vivienne said finally, glancing over to Nia. The swirlix in her lap made a small noise, and se glanced down to find a la Mode asleep in her arms. She gave a small smile at that before fishin out his Pokeball and returning him to it.
"I didn't think I'd enjoy it much here at first either, but this place has a habit of growing on you, y;know?"
OOC Note: Tada. One post done with my eyes shut. So I pretty much know where all the letters are, but got some of the punctuation off? Lololololol.

"Eh. I guess I'll do something about it. At some point." She proceeded to carefully raise herself up to a sitting position. "I mean. There's nice things here. The sights are nice, lots of things to paint, nice enough people and all that jazz. I'll probably enjoy my time here, but I probably won't gain much from this level of education."
She tapped her toes against the floor. "I'm pretty sure my bro's would've enjoyed this far more than me. They're the trainers of the family and all. Maybe they want me to become one. Or well, I know they want me to become one."

Vivienne bobbed her head to the side slightly. At least Nia seemed to be in slightly better spirits than before, if you could call her admitting she was going to work on liking the place better. At least she was interesting, Vivienne had to give her credit for that; and bonus points too for not crying like Seria had during their first meeting. The snark in her mind practically cackled at the thought, but Vivienne just giggled light aloud. Maybe spending time around Amethyst had impacted her a little more than she thought.
"Well, if you do get an art club up," the pinkette began, "lemme know, okay? I don't paint much, but I sketch a lot and sew and stuff." She nodded to the wall and her supplies. Besides, it might be nice to have a little breathing room in the off chance she did get a room mate.

"You'll be the first person I contact. After the vice president and this another girl. If I can remember which room was yours." She nodded matter-of-factly. She then let out a yawn as she looked around the room one more time, trying to find something good to keep the conversation going. She didn't find much, so she decided to try and ask something completely random.
"So. You got any good friends here?" The question might have been a bit too far reaching, but she didn't have much more to ask. Maybe she should leave soon. She needed to finish her paintings after all.

Vivienne nodded to the girl saying she'd let her know. The Floette had drifted away by then to the sketch wall in order to stretch herself out a bit and figure out how to maneuver in her new body. The Kalosian could tell the conversation was starting to wind down, and was glad the other girl hadn't been hurt much by her fall or been upset by the circumstances.
The question that Nia asked came a little out of left field for Vivienne's taste, but she guessed that maybe the other was just trying to keep the conversation flowing. Viv knew she couldn't keep one going very well on her own volition, but with a little help, who knew? She paused for a minute, thinking.
"I dunno..." She finally admitted, "I still feel a little new here, and I'm still meeting a lot of new people everyday, y'know?" The girl leaned back for a bit, "There are a few people I've bumped into more than a couple times, and there are a few I've made plans to run into again. So...." She sighed, "I hope so?"

Nia nodded at that. She then rose up from the bed, stretching her whole body. She seemed to like stretching a lot for some reason, maybe her muscles got tired easily? It didn't matter that much. She then tilted her head a bit, growing a sly smirk. "I hope I'm on the list of people you'll want to run into again." She snickered a bit to herself, showing some more emotion before stopping after a while. "Guess I'll head to my room. It's right next to yours."
She then turned around and wobbled to the door, before blinking and turning around. "By the way, cursing like a sailor doesn't fit you."

Vivienne smiled at the girl. "Of course!" The girl got off her bed and made her way to the door before stopping and turning, poking fun at Viv's earlier outburst. She blushed a little at that before letting Nia wobble out and turning to Praline.
"Looks like we've got neighbors Pray." She said lightly as the Floette came down. She half wondered who had done more stretching, the freshly evolved fairy or the hand-less girl who'd been lying on her bed not even a few minutes ago. "We'll probably need to make sure Marmalade plays nice, right?"
The pair shared a look for a moment than slowly nodded in unison. They'd need to watch the Roselia around the girl, especially given Nia's temperament.
