Vivienne lucked out; she still didn't have a roommate, so the extra space in her suite had been put to use. The twin bed the other girl was destined for may not have had a sheet, but the Kalosian had draped a spare blanket over it and a few baskets full of things. One had fabrics and a few spools of yarn, another a basket full of clothes that still needed folded, and the third was full of books and small boxes. The Pink haired girl had opted to change out of her uniform for a white camisol and a pair of pink compression shorts while she worked.
The work? One wall of the dorm room was crowded by sketch-book pages ripped and taped up for her to glance at. They were covered in rough sketches of her Pokemon, in various stages of being a sketch or being a drawing. Most importantly though, at least three fourths featured some sort of costuming or jewelry beside the Pokemon, or on them as though they were wearing it. Anyone who flipped through a Pokestylist's magazine would feel quite familiar with the fashion sketches on the wall.
Vivienne was sitting in a chair near the desk that should have gone to her roommate; a small, portable sewing machine was going as she pedaled the kick-stand. The needle was threading some sort of sheer fabric together, and Vivienne exclaimed suddenly as she pulled back, one of her fingers bleeding.
"FUCK!"
Anyone who knew Vivienne Montmarche would recognize the fact that she rarely, if ever, swore. But having a needle slice her pad of her index finger hurt. Checking it for the thread, which fortunately hadn't sewn itself into her flesh, the girl stood, shoving the finger into her mouth as she went to grab her first aid kit from the storage area bed. In the process of going through the book and supply box, a sewing box fell and clattered to the ground. Spools of thread rolled onto the floor, clattering into the hall.
"Great....." The girl mumbled as she popped open her first aid kit. Treat the wound first, clean up second.

Nia let out a yawn as she simply lied on her bed, searching for some sort of a inspiration in her mind. She found none yet. Could be because someone yelled out a curse word, seemingly from one of the rooms bordering hers. This could not do, she needed to focus here if she wanted to even start a painting. And so she set out of her room into the cold, unforgiving world... She took a few steps. Then another few. And then she hit the roll of wool and flipped over onto her back with a loud thump. "Ow."

Vivienne was applying a bit of antiseptic ointment on her finger when she heard a loud thump and looked up. A girl's legs were draped across the entryway to her room, and one of the spools of wool thread was apparently the culprit. The color drained out of the Kalosian's face.
"Oh....OH MY GOSH!" She yelped, darting across the room to the door and looking out. She kicked a few things in route, mostly more thread spools on her floor that skittered and rebound off the walls. "Are you okay?" She asked as she reached it before even seeing the other girl on the floor. Glancing down, she took in the other's appearance, and her lack of hands. As flustered as she was, she recovered slightly enough to offer a bit of aid. "Can I......can I help you up?" She asked from the door. Her finger was just starting to bleed again, and the bandages were still in the room proper.

"I'm fine. And eh, just..." She wiggled around on the floor for a while, managing to flop herself onto her chest, then pushing her knees against the floor enough to push her to stand up. She stretched her legs after, groaning a bit. She then turned around to look down at the girl, waving her stump as a sort of greeting. "I'm fine. Just think I hurt my tailbone. If we have those anyways. Never believed in that." She provided Viv with a crooked smirk before looking to her finger.
"You're bleeding." She tilted her head a bit before proceeding to wobble over to her room.

"Oh-Ohkay." Vivienne said, watching the girl maneuver herself around and get up, hands free. Were she a little more confident in her social skills (outside of scamming people) Vivienne might have whistled. It was impressive, to say the least. She offered a slight laugh at the girl's disbelief in tail bones, and watched her wobble a little more into the doorway.
"Uh. Come in.." The Kalosian girl said, "Just, don't mind the mess. I was working on something." She was about to put a hand behind her head, until she noticed the blood beading on her fingertip. Moving back into the room, she grabbed a bandage and wrapped the tip of her finger in it then slid a small blue finger cot on for extra measure from the first aid kit. She glanced at the floor, then up to Nia. "Just watch the floor....I kinda spilled one of my sewing kits."
She laughed at this, but motioned the other girl in, "The bed's free....or there's the chair by my desk."
Nia would undoubtedly notice the way the girl had nested in the room, even if it was modestly sized for two people, by turning it into a bed room and craft room; the area that should've belonged to a roommate had turned into storage at the bed and a workspace at the desk. A few unfinished outfits and accessories were hanging from the window's draping rod. Vivienne's bed set was cream colored with red polka-dots, and two of the pillows on her bed matched. We say two because there were at least seven pillows piled at the head of the bed behind it, one a pink heart shaped throw pillow. The girl like being comfortable, so sue her.

Nia nodded, masterfully guiding herself onto Viv's bed as she then flopped herself down onto it. She lied there for a moment before biting her lower lip and looking around. "Huh. Your roomie must be pretty crazy about sewing and stuff for letting you get all this space for yourself." She then plonked her head back against the pillow, murmurring to herself.
"I'm still wondering where the heck my roomie is. Never seen her. I don't even think she lives in the dorm room, so I just use her space for all my paintings and stuff... Or well. Would use if I had any yet."

"I don't have a roommate yet." Vivienne explained with a slight blush. "So I took advantage of the space." She glanced at the mess, and reached over to her bedside table and grabbed two of her Pokeballs. "Come on out guys." she said, releasing two Pokemon. The first, a Swirlix, blinked at the appearance of the girl on the bed. The second, a Flabebe, was floating a little above the ground before moving to her trainer and giving her a light peck on the cheek.
"Hello to you too Praline." Vivienne said with a small giggle. The fairy didn't simply show affection though, she took the opportunity to hide behind one of the girl's pink pig-tails. "I was hoping the two of your would help me get the room straightened up. We've had a bit of an accident." She said it with a laugh. The Swirlix fixed her with a look, and she shrugged, "Whoever gets done first wins some extra candy?"
At those words, a la Mode set to work like a mad-man. He used his tail and his fluffy fur to roll several spools together like a broom. Praline, meanwhile, decided to employ her psychic powers to do so; teaching her the powerful telekinetic attack to cover her poison type weaknesses was good, but the side benefits of unlocking the fairy's psychic abilities were pretty cool too. Vivienne set to work on getting the sewing station back in order, and watched her two Pokemon compete for a minute before clapping as they got everything together.
"You're both winners!" She declared, to which the two gave mild shouts of joy. As she headed to the desk, opening a drawer and digging into it, something strange began to happen. The Flabebe began glowing bright blue as several swirls of light began spiraling around it.

Nia blinked as she watched the pokemon do some work, along with hearing that Viv had no roommate. Maybe she didn't either? Would explain why no one else lived with her. Or maybe her roommate was crobatman. She then blinked once more as the flabebe begun to glow with light, before her interest was captured by something else entirely. The whole room.
She instantly stretched her leg out for anything that could be used for drawing, ending up with a plain white cloth and a slightly dull pen. She grunted, instantly getting into a better possition as she begun to sketch something out onto the cloth as good as she could.

Vivienne's attention was arrested by her Flabebe who flickered with light for a few moments before it became nearly blinding to look at. When it faded, the sweet little Flabebe she'd been training since her arrival was gone; floating in it's place was a Floette.
"Wow." Vivienne whispered, more to herself, before proclaiming with a squeal, "You evolved Praline!"
The Floette blinked once or twice before stretching either arm. The flower she'd once ridden on had grown with her, longer and a little bigger. It served as a sort of parasol for the fairy Pokemon now. The crown on her head had shifted into a pair of ringlets around her ears, and her body was...bigger. It was a little strange for Praline. She'd double in height and bulked up considerably since her evolution. "Flo...." She murmured, before her stomach grumbled.
"I guess evolving probably works up an appetite, huh?" Vivienne said with a small laugh. She kneeled, reaching under her desk and grabbing a pair of bowels. They were cute, but cheap, pink Pokemon dishes. One had the name a la Mode swirled on it in black calligraphy, the other Praline. For the Swirlix, she filled one side with a bit of water from a bottle (conveniently kept chilled by a locker-sized mini-fridge to the opposite side of the desk) and the other half with candy from a bag. For the Floette, water and some Pokemon food sprinkled with candied flowered petals.
She'd been ignoring her guest, to her own bit of horror, but when she looked back to Nia she noticed the girl had swiped a scrap of white cloth and a pen from the floor when the Pokemon were cleaning; she was drawing with her feet, which was curious, but Vivienne didn't say much. She couldn't exactly hold it against the girl when she nearly killed her, could she?
"Would you like something better to work with? I've got a sketchbook or two around here." The girl's earlier words struck through her then; she'd been a little preoccupied with the cleaning to say much. She was a painter then? Interesting.
"Or at least let me get you something to put the cloth on. I hate drawing without a steady surface behind it."

"I got it." She nodded, returning to her rather odd position of using one leg to nail the cloth against the wall, and using the other leg to slowly but surely sketch out something. It wasn't a beautiful progress by any stretch, but at the very least something was sloowly being sketched out. It was taking form, it was becoming alive! It was... The sewing machine.
Kei smiled to herself as the sketch finished. She then pulled the scrap of cloth away from the wall, placing it down onto the bed as she then begun to stretch her legs. "I've never drawn a sewing machine before. Good practice."

Vivienne watched her Pokemon eat before glancing over at her guest; the girl was eccentric, to say the least, and just slapped the cloth against the wall and kept glancing over to the little portable sewing machine. She was good, Vivienne had to give her that, especially on such a difficult surface to work with like cloth and using ink. She watched in relative silence until the girl removed it from the wall, complete for a sketch. It was good practice for her then? Good for her. The way she was stretching out across the bed to get comfortable though, a thought struck the Kalosian.
"Uh....I'm Vivienne, by the way." She spoke up. Having a stranger in her room wasn't THAT surprising, honestly, but perhaps a bit of a more formal introduction than nearly killing her with thread spools would be nice?

"I'm Nia. Nia Mckelleigh." She nodded, finishing her stretching as she then leaned against the wall, letting her legs dangle over the edge of the the bed. She then promptly yawned before tilting her head to the side. "So, uh. What region you from? I'm from Kanto. Pallet town." She smiled a bit, still dangling her legs. "I guess it's a fitting name for the birthplace of a artist."
She then proceeded to look over the girl. Young, pretty nice hair, seemingly got some taste for clothing. Seemed to be helpful, maybe a bit shy? Or maybe it was a side effect of her stomping over to this girls room.

"Laverre City in the Kalos Region." Vivienne replied to the girl's question, "Le pays de l'amour" She giggled slightly. "Fitting birthplace for....me. I guess."
She slid into the chair by the desk, Praline coming to float by her. She'd need to modify the costumes she'd made for her as a Flabebe now; she wasn't exactly Wailord sized, not even a foot tall from the tip of her heart shaped tail to the crown of her head, but she was a lot bigger than she'd been. Vivienne wondered at what she might do, her eyes slipping to the vacant bed turned storage area. She still had a few of the beads and jewels she'd used on the initial costume. Maybe she could link out more of the pattern? It was a thought.
"So, how do you like it here?" Vivienne asked, her attention shifting back to her visitor.

"Eh. I've met a few people, I've sketched out some things and started a few paintings. And even fought one battle by accident back at the academy dome, I guess. Pretty good considering I was forced to come here." She nodded, drawing her feet back from their dangling position as she then proceeded to completely lie down, staring at the ceiling. Maybe it was good her parents forced her. Or maybe it was just a rosy start.
"What about you? How're you doing here? You forced too or out of your own will?" She raised her eyebrow slightly, dangling her toes. The girl seemed like someone who had actual interest in the fields the academy covered, but maybe it was just a side effect of being here. After all, she had no idea how long the girl had been here.

"I've been here a little while myself." Vivienne relayed as Nia explained everything she'd been through. She didn't seem super thrilled, but when she mentioned being forced there it explained a lot. Vivienne glanced away, at her sewing machine, when the girl questioned her about why she was there. Praline might've been bigger, but she was small enough to float next to her face, putting a tiny hand on Vivienne's cheek.
"I..." She thought for a moment, "I guess I was forced here too." She couldn't admit why exactly. Maybe she'd leave that to the other girl, or maybe...."I was never really good with people at home." The way she worded and said it sounded like she just had troubles talking to people; it fit, considering her shy tendencies. That was also the wrong conclusion to make.
"I'm glad though." She finally said with conviction, "I've met some people, but more importantly I've met my Pokemon." The Swirlix cried happily as he finished his meal before hopping into the girl's lap. "It's a great opportunity, is what I'm getting at....I guess."
She paused, musing over what the girl had said. "I actually just won my first battle the other day. It was kind of intense." Vivienne hugged the Swirlix closer, "But if you need a training partner sometime, I can help. Not all of my Pokemon are ready to evolve." It was a small offer, but getting a little more battle experience some time couldn't hurt. After all, she'd just evolved her Flabebe and Budew, yet still found herself with a Togepi and a Feebas that needed some experience, win or loss.
