Random Battle [Battle vs. Tanya]

Ginny had been bored one day and she thought she would sign up for a battle against a random student. She didn't have a clue on who was going to walk through the other side. Her optimistic personality was there in the foreground and it showed. It was going to be an amazing battle and it was going to hopefully help Thadeus her Piplup evolve. He was so close and she knew it could be just a couple more battles until he does. She registered her Pokémon and took her place on her side. She didn't want it to end like her first battle. It was going so well until Vivienne called out her Mawile. That Pokémon went threw two of her Pokémon with just taking very damage himself. She waited patiently for her mystery opponent.

Holding Pippa close to her, Tanya cradled the pokemon as she entered the Battle Dome. While she probably should be sending in her baby pokemon to something like this, Tanya still felt that she needed to get experience, even if she was a crybaby. Blissey were basically special attack sponges with their ridiculously large hp and high Special Defense. It was going to be hard to get there, but she had faith in her pokemon.

"Oh hey, you're the girl that bought my Oshawott." Tanya stated out loud, reaching her end at letting the Happiny down. She proceeded to stand next to Tanya, lightly holding onto to her pant sleeve. "I guess I'm going to be your opponent today."

Getting out another pokeball, Tanya sent out her first pokemon, Flect her Bronzor. The pokemon floated in the air, staring outwards and only occasionally blinking. It was a little unsettling for Tanya, and she was secretly glad that she didn't have the pokemon staring at her.

"That's my starting pokemon. You can choose yours."

Team: Flect the Bronzor, Wally the Munchlax, Pippa the Happiny

Action: Flect has been sent out!

After a few moments the door opened and a girl walked through. She was carrying a pink Pokémon. Upon further inspection andthe hell from her Pokedex is turned out to be a Happiny. She found it to be very adorable and loved how it just clung to her trainers pants leg. Though the girl looked familiar though, but when she mentioned the Oshawott she remembered. "Yeah, I bought the Oshawott. He's doing great. Thank you." Ginny said commenting on Travis the Oshawott. "It looks like that's the case."

She stands there and watches her opponent throw out a pokeball and a Bronzor appears. She turns her pokedex onto the Pokémon. The device scans the Pokémon and she thinks for a moments before she reaches and grabs a ball. Clicking the button and then throws it. "Alright Roger, let's get started here" The purple cat appears and sits down and licks his then rubs on his face. Roger stands looking at the Bronzer and gets ready for the battle."I'm ready whenever you are"

Another Purrloin. Seeing the pokemon caused Tanya to frown. She had pretty bad experiences with the Purrloin line, mostly due to Seria and her really annoying Prankster move. Still, Tanya didn't know what this Purrloin had to offer. Hopefully it wasn't a Prankster one. If so, she might need to think really hard about how to proceed with the battle.

"Ok then, let's start up with an Iron Defense!" Tanya commanded, hoping to bolster her pokemon's defenses before going on the offensive. Depending on how things were going to go, she would rather mitigate the damage she would receive from the Purrloin's attacks than spend chance on confusion causing the pokemon to hit himself.

On Tanya's orders, Flect began to faintly shine bright blue and it shook in the air, his body shining brightly agains the sun. Due to its actions, Flect's body became extremely hard, sharply raising the defense of the pokemon. Hoping that she wasn't going to be hit with confusion or something else along the likes of that, Tanya bit the side of her lip, curious to see how the battle would go.

Action: Flect used Iron Defense! Sharply increases Flect's Defense!

Nodding at her at her opponent made her first move. It was Iron Defense, that wasnt what she wanted to see happen. The Bronzor was now that much stronger defense wise. Ginny thought for a bit she was in a tight spot. She want going to find anyway around this. She hadnt thought she was going to be in a situation like this. There was two options she could do and neither of them would turn out very well. She did what she thought was best. "Roger, use Torment" The Purrloin did just that he walked up to the Bronzor and started tormenting the blue mirror.

"Interesting move." Tanya commented, knowing that this could end up being a very long match. Tanya's main problem was that she only had one effective damaging move. Which meant that she was going to have to alternate between increasing her defense and damaging the Purrloin. It would make the match longer, but hopefully she could weather the storm.

"However, I'm not done just yet! Flect, use Confuse Ray on the Purrloin!" Tanya shouted, knowing that she had to keep the momentum up. On her orders, Flect began conjuring up small yellow orbs of light that danced around the Bronzor for a moment before launching themselves at the Purrloin. Once they got to the Purrloin, they began to rapidly spin around the pokemon, eventually blowing up in his face and confusing him.

Action: Flect used Confuse Ray! Purrloin is now Confused!

Ginny bite her lip when the Bronzor shot the Confuse Ray at her Purrloin. Roger started to chase his tail and bat at his face. He was confused and the battle wasn't looking good for the girl. Ginny thought for a moment and then she sighed. There was two move that could do damage to the Bronzor. Taking in a deep breath she spoke "Roger, use Pursuit." She wasnt sure it he was going to hit the opponent or hit himself due to the confusion. This was a risky move but she had to fight back. She didn't want another repeat of the last battle.

Tanya watched as the Purrloin managed to temporarily beat the confusion, causing Bronzor to brace itself as it was hit by the super effective attack. Luckily for her though, the boosted defenses meant that it didn't take that much damage and didn't seem too badly harmed. In fact, it quickly righted itself and prepared itself for battle.

"Time for the offensive! Heavy Slam into the opponent!" Tanya commanded, watching as the Bronzor began to spin faster and faster, eventually spinning at a breakneck pace as it spiraled around and threw itself at the Purrloin, smashing into him with all of its power. Tanya was now really glad that Bronzor had high defenses. It was probably one of the only things that allowed her to have an advantage this battle.

Action: Flect attacked with Heavy Slam!

Ginny cringed as the Bronzor hit Roger hard with the Heavy Slam. It wasn't looking good for the feline, he thought it was going to be a good match for the Purrloin but she didn't anticipate the Iron Defense and the Confusion. Tanya was a smart battler, Ginny had to work more on defense than offence but it didn't matter with Roger confused. There was no telling how much longer the confusion was going to last. But she had gotten lucky that it hit. Though it was no use with the added defense. "Here goes nothing, Roger Fury Swipes" Ginnifer commanded hoping that Roger didn't hit himself because of the confused state he was in.

Her feelings were mixed when the Confusion caused the Purrloin to hit itself. It was nice that she didn't have to worry about damage this turn. However, Torment was a very annoying problem and it meant that she couldn't hit the Purrloin again with Heavy Slam. Extrasensory was out of the question and the Purrloin was still confused. That only left one move.

"Bring up your defenses with Iron Defense again!" Tanya ordered, not looking too happy with the order, but still going along with it due to her limited options. Shining bright blue again, his body became even brighter, reflecting more of the sun and heightening its defenses even more. Tanya considered the possibility of getting more moves for the pokemon. It only had four. Still, it was enough to provide a good challenge for the Purrloin.

Action: Flect used Iron Defense! Sharply raises Defense Stat!

"Darn" Ginny said quietly as the Purrloin hit itself. This battle was not going well and Roger was hanging on by a sliver. The next hit was going to take him down and she hoped it wasn't going to be itself. Taking a deep breath watching the Bronzor up its defense again. It was going to be almost impossible to defeat him now. Unless she can get Thadeus out and use one of his special attacks. Though she was going to wait and find out what was going g to happen here. "You've done well so far Roger. Let's try another Fury Swipes." Ginny commanded the Dark type cat. She was just hoping it was going to go better than the last attack.

Even though the attack hit, due to how high Flect's defense was, the attack did basically no damage. In fact, even as the claws swiped twice at the Bronzor, Flect didn't even feel the pain. Tanya was curious as to why Ginnifer changed up her strategy from attacking with a Super Effective move to attacking with a not very effective move. Whatever the case was, she still needed to go on the offensive.

"Ok, now attack with Heavy Slam!" Tanya called out, the Bronzor spinning quickly again, eventually throwing itself at the Purrloin with all of its power. While she wasn't 100% sure if this move would be the one to finish off the Purrloin, she knew that as long as Ginnifer kept the Purrloin in, she had a pretty good chance at gaining the advantage.

Action: Flect used Heavy Slam!

The Fury Swipes didn't do anything to the Bronzor. Ginny wasn't going to give up, she had another strategy in mind that would hall out. After Roger had finished his attack, Tanya called out to use Heavy Slam again. She knew the attack was going to take out the Purrloin. He had done a great job with what he was given. Though the next Pokemon Ginny was going to send out had would have an advantage since it was going to not get hit for a turn do to the Torment that Roger had placed. "You were awesome Roger, take a car nap." Ginny said as she recalled the feline after it fainted. Taking out her next Pokémon she clicked the button and threw the ball. "Take flight Regina" A Vullaby appeared and gave a sound that she was ready. "Regina, give that Bronzor a taste of your Dark Pulse" Regina opened her mouth and she started to get read to shoot a beam at the Bronzor.

Ok, she had momentum on her side. Tanya was glad to see the Purrloin go down. What she wasn't happy to see was that another Dark type pokemon took its place. What was worse was that it had a special based dark attack. Her bolstered defenses would mean nothing against the super effective attack that headed towards Flect. As if adding insult to injury, Flect flinched due to the attack, unable to act for the rest of the turn.

"You seem to like those Dark type pokemon." Tanya called out to Ginnifer, crossing her arms and smirking a little. "Mind if I ask why you used Fury Swipes instead of Pursuit?" She might as well talk to her, it wasn't like she could do anything else.

Action: Flect is unable to act due to flinching!

Ginny watched as the attack hit the Bronzor and then it flinched. She giggled slightly as she watched on. It was going to turn out to be an interesting match after all. She was finally turning the battle in her favor in a way. The special based attack broke through the defense that the girl was trying to build. The Iron Defense raised physical defense not special defense so she knew Vullabys Dark Pulse would be better than Piplups Hydro Pump. Then when she was about to attack again the girl asked her a couple of question. "Not really, I find Purrloin adorable and Vullaby is a cutie." When Ginny mentioned Vullaby being a cutie, Regina twept in kind. "As for using Furry Swipes instead of Pursuit. There was a better chance of him hitting himself than hitting Bronzor. So it didn't matter what attack he used. Plus Bronzor defense is high enough, weakness and such doesn't matter." Ginny answered than smiled.

"Alright Regina, show them another Dark Pulse." Regina tweeted as to say yes and attacked Flec the Bronzor.
