Random Battle [Battle vs. Tanya]

Tanya shrugged as the attack hit once more, the damage the Bronzor sustained from before was more than enough to finish it off as Flect's eyes started to flicker while it slowly fell to the floor. Returning Flect to his pokeball, Tanya thought for a moment about which pokemon she wanted to use next. While she was tempted to use Pippa, she doubted that Vullaby only had special moves. With that in mind, she only really had one option.

"Wally, set up for the future with Curse!" Tanya declared, throwing out another pokeball and sending out her Munchlax. When he first appeared on the battlefield, he looked mildly confused at the Vullaby, raising his eyebrow before shrugging and sitting on the floor. As it did so, it emanated a dark energy, leading to a mystical aura surrounding him and flying off him. After a while though, it dissipated, leaving behind a slightly stronger Munchlax.

Action: Flect has been knocked out! Wally the Munchlax sent in! Wally uses Curse! Attack and Defense increases while Speed Decreases!

Watching the Bronzor go down, Ginny gave a sigh of relief. That was a difficult one to take down. She would have to figure out a way to take the next one down quicker. She thought on who the next one would be, she didn't know what Tanya had as Pokémon but if the Bronzor was any indicator on what was in store. Ginny knew she was going to have a uphill battle on her hands. Once the Bronzor had been recalled, a blur bear looking pokemon came out. Pulling out her pokedex it identified it as a Munchlax. She watched on as the Water dorm student gave her Munchlax a command.

Regina the Vullaby tilted her head as the Munchlax just sat in front of her. She tilted her head the other wah as the blue Pokémon started to glow with a purplish tint for a few seconds then stop. Curse, she knew that move. It raised attack and defense and lowered speed. She had a couple moves that she could use but one was too to be effective k. The normaltype Munchlax. "OK Regina, give him a Dark Pulse"

Though the Munchlax was knocked onto his back by the attack, it didn't really seem that effective. Pushing himself back up, the Munchlax glared angrily at the Vullaby and started to stamp the ground angrily, ready to put up a good fight. Since she knew what her Munchlax was feeling, Tanya obliged to his whims.

"Wally, use Body Slam and smash into the Vullaby!" Tanya ordered, the Munchlax jumping into the air before he started run. He pelted towards the Vullaby and then threw his body forwards, colliding hard with the pokemon in question. Tanya wondered how strong Wally would be if he didn't lose that drive when he wasn't angry. Maybe she'd never know.

Action: Wally used Body Slam!

The Dark Pulse didn't do that much damage to the Munchlax. So Ginny thought she should switch tactics and try another move. But the best thing she could do was try Dark Pulse again and try for the flinch. The Munchlax stood up and threw his body into Regina. It was not going to end well for the tiny buzzard. After the blue bear looking Pokémon had gotten off of Regina, the bird stood there recovering from the attack. Ginny looked on as the battle wasn't going very well for her. The pokemon that Tanya was using were high in defense and she wasn't sure if she would even get to Tanya's third pokemon. Taking a deep breath and not thinking about it she called out a command. "Regina, use Brave Bird." The Vullaby was going to be hit with recoil but it was the best option she had at the moment.

Crossing his arms in front of him, Wally braced himself for the oncoming attack, his back leg digging into the ground due to the intensity of the attack. He was able to shrug off the damage though, only looking slightly injured from the attack. Tanya had confidence again and in her mind, she envisioned the waves crashing onto Ginnifer's side of the battlefield.

"Finish off the Vullaby with another Body Slam!" Tanya called out confidently, a slight smirk on her face as Wally began to run at the Vullaby. Throwing his chest outwards, he once again collided heavily with the Vullaby, using his strength to his advantage and not wasting the opportunity presented to him. Tanya clenched her fist, hoping that she could keep up the forward momentum.

The Brave Bird hit the Munchlax hard but didn't do much damage. It did more than the Dark Pulse did, thought Regina wasn't going to be in the battle for much longer. Ginny had a feeling that Tanya was too use Body Slam again. And that's exactly what happen. The Munchlax named Wally ran at the Vullaby and slammed into it. The impact propelled Regina back and into the wall. Trying to get back to her feet she feel and was unable to battle any more. "Great job Regina, you deserve a rest." Ginny said recalling her Vullaby. "What a wonderful battle we're having?" The Nature Dormer said pulling out her last pokemon. It was her Piplup Thadeus, he was wild one she never knew if he was going to listen to her or not. "Alright Thadeus, give your best shot" The blue penguin appeared And clenched what would be fists. He was actually waiting for Ginny to give him a command.

"Thadeus, let's try a Hydro Pump." The Piplup nodded and jump in the air ready to fire the jet of water.

"This has been a good battle. Nice to give some of my other pokemon some much needed experience!" Tanya called out to Ginnifer, enjoying the small conversation that they were having together.

Once Wally had realized that he knocked out the Vullaby, he sat himself on the floor, thinking that the match was over. Therefore, when he got promptly sprayed in the face by a deluge of water, he looked less than pleased and shot daggers at the Piplup with his eyes.

"Come on now, Body Slam again! Keep up the momentum and lead the way to victory!" Tanya exclaimed, getting a little theatrical with her statements. Wally smirked at the Piplup as he ran towards him, surprisingly fast considering his constitution. Maybe it was out of a personal motivation that he was acting like that. In any case, he threw his body outwards, smashing into the penguin pokemon with all of his strength.

The Hydro Pump hit its mark. It was a powerful attack but this Munchlax wasn't going down. She had thrown everything at him, it just wasn't going to let up. Wally the Munchlax stood up, then ccharged at Thadeus at a high speed for the Pokémon in question. He hit the Piplup hard and Thadeus hit the ground then rolled a little. Hopping back up he was doing his best not showing that he was getting week. She didn't have anything to take down this Normal Type wreaking crew. The only move she could use was Hydro Pump. "Alright Thadeus, make this count. Hydro Pump." Ginny hoped that this was going to be the blow that finished the hellish nightmare that was the Munchlax.

Once again the Hydro Pump hit and Wally hurtled backwards, thrown onto the floor due to sheer power. Tanya watched for a moment, wondering if Wally was finished by the attack. For a while, it seemed like it was over for the Munchlax. However, Wally began to stir, slowly pushing himself up and readying himself for battle.

"Come on Wally, Body Slam one more time!" Tanya called out, thoroughly impressed by how Wally was still able to fight. Wally began running once more, putting his last burst of energy into the attack he was going to do. Throwing his body forwards one more time, he collided hard with the Piplup, aiming to finish it off with this last blow.

Piplup hit the Munchlax hard with the Hydro Pump. It wasn't going to finish it off as she predicted. She was starting to despise the Munchlax. And she wasn't too happy with herself at the moment. She had far more powerful Pokémon she could've chosen but she wanted to train the weaker ones. It was only proper to do so. She just didn't think she would have this hard of a time taking down one Pokémon. Ginny knew if she could hit the Munchlax once more it would go down bit needless to say she wasnt going to get that chance when she heard Tanya call out the finishing blow. She would've done what she did during her battle with Vivi. But Thadeus wouldn't be happy if he wasnt in to very end. The little penguin was prideful and stubborn.

Ginny could only watch as Wally the Munchlax hit her Piplup like a freight train. Thadeus went scooting alon the ground stopping at her feet. The Piplup stated to stand then fell over and the buzzer went off calling the end of the battle. Ginnifer collapsed and picked up her Piplup. Holding the weak pokemon in her arms she smiled at him. "You were amazing. You almost took him out." She said standing still holding the aquatic bird. She peered over to the other side of the field to her opponent. "Congratulations on your victory. You're a very smart battler, I underestimated you. I enjoyed the experience, although I lost. Good luck in the future, hope we meet again" Ginny said giving Tanya a smile and small giggle before turning and taking her Pokémon to get treated.

Another victory under her belt. Tanya looked towards Wally, who realizing the match was over, immediately fell asleep. Wally was probably the only reason she was able to win this match. Unsure about how much damage it would require to defeat the Piplup, she wasn't sure if Pippa was able to finish the pokemon off. Still, it would've been nice for Pippa to gain experience for the match.

"Thanks! I didn't get to the semi-finals of the Expert tournament for nothing!" Tanya called out, amused that Ginnifer underestimated her abilities. At least she still had it in her, even with pokemon she only acquired recently. "You fought well as well! Hope we have a chance to battle again!"

Returning Wally to his pokeball, Tanya wondered what to do next. Pippa and Wally should be close to evolving. Maybe there was some way for her to get that last bit of experience.
