Proof of Concept (Cassius)

[Seria Floria]

Seria sighed as she fiddled around on her own in the living area of the Nature Dorm, she was looking around with some sort of thing in mind, but no one would be able to discern what exactly this was. Accompanying her was her faithful kitty, Severa, of course, who was perched on the girl's lap, curled up and resting as Seria idly stroked her and the two kept each other company. She was thinking mostly about the recent events, though for the most part she had shaken off the events revolving around the city and the invasion of that stupid team, she still found herself somewhat upset over her recent failure at the tournament. She wasn't feeling so bad about it this time around, though, she was simply just frustrated and wondering if anybody her own age would take her seriously. As it seemed, it was only the adults who seemed to understand her goal wholeheartedly and figure out where she was coming from.

Seria sighed wistfully, looking around and hearing some footsteps.

Cassius had Justen gotten back from her morning run a few minutes ago, having showered and gotten ready for a day of managing a bunch of children, acquiring research, and wooing the beautiful dame in the library. Running her hands to smooth out her lab coat’s collar the woman would leave her room with a bit of a flourish. Walking past the Dorm Commons she’d see one of her girls looking… downish. Pursing her lips the woman would make a B-line for the girl, plopping down on the couch next to her. “Something bugging ya kid?” She asked, a pleasant smile on her face as she scratched the ears of the Dark Pokémon on the girl’s lap absentmindedly.

She had read this one’s file, Seria, good kid. Or so it said, but looking at her Cassius couldn’t really see her doing anything bad, just didn’t fit really. Either way she had time to talk with any of the kids under her care, that was her job after all. Plus Charon could take care of any business that came up, the Dusknoir floating through the building to make sure everything was running in tip top shape nigh constantly. “Seria right? If ya wanna talk about it I’m all ears.” She offered with a reassuring smile, hopefully the girl would actually open up then try and bottle up anything that was troubling her. Cassius knew from experience how little that worked.

Seria was sitting and minding her own business when somebody showed up, someone she wasn't too familiar with. Was that a guy or a girl? Couldn't tell at first until the person spoke. "Hi, yes, I'm Seria," she responded to the prompt, the person offered to be a listening ear for Seria if she was troubled. It was then and there that she vaguely recognized the person to be a Nature Warden. "...Oh, yeah. You're one of the wardens. Sorry. I guess I was just lost in thought thinking about various things since my stay here. Thinking about my girlfriend, thinking about... How to be taken more seriously here, I guess." Seria sighed and looked ahead.

Severa didn't seem to mind the Warden scritching her ears, fortunately. She simply purred contently as Seria spoke.

Cassius smiled, partly at the Pokémon rather enjoying her scratches, and the fact that she hadn’t blundered up the girl’s name. “Yeah I’m Ms. Yossarian, ya can just call me Cassius though hun.” She told the student before the girl revealed what was bugging her. Cassius couldn’t help but chuckle at her reasons for looking down, tossing her free arm around the girl and pulling her in a bit. “Ehh girlfriend back home? Or did ya already hook up with some lucky lady here?” She asked, dealing with the first issue the girl had listed. Cassius knew what is was like to want to be taken seriously, and she would help the girl with that. Heck she owed it as a Warden to help out one of her students.

But if she was having relationship problems, Cassius could lend a bit of advice, while she didn’t have much experience with relationships, her first relationship still going strong. She and Daphne had been through their ups and downs together though, and she knew that nothing helped a person more than listening to what was on their mind. Rubbing the girl’s shoulder with the arm that was pulling her close Cassius would let out a sigh with her. “How about we go over ya feelings about the love, then you can tell me what’s got you thinking that no one takes ya seriously.” She told Seria with a reassuring squeeze, the young Nature Dormer kinda reminded Cassius of herself when she was a student.

Seria nodded when the Warden introduced herself, as Cassius Yossarian. Interesting name, for an interesting individual. When Cassius asked her about her girlfriend, Seria blinked and fidgeted. "I wouldn't call it a hook up, but actually, I met the lady completely by accident. I think it was quite picturesque myself. I was thinking about it a lot because I am worried about her. She has been quite stressed recently, and I want to make her feel better." Seria said, scratching her head. It wasn't really a relationship problem as much as it was Seria just being particularly worried for her partner.

It was a bit weird that Cassius was pulling her in though. On the other hand, Seria figured it was just a reassuring one rather than anything else. "What do you suggest I do? We can start with that before moving on to the next thing, yeah, that sounds good."
