Everything was ready. She had her coveralls on, along with a small beret that was clearly meant for ten year old children. But that beret was so dear to her she always wore it when she was doing larger projects. She had also (with the help of kristoff) set up many canvases along with tons of paintbuckets just ready for use. She smiled to herself before seating herself, reaching for her thinnest brush.
She had set this all up to one of the corners of the general commons area, leaving tons of brushes along. She had also covered the walls and the floors with some paper to cover them. She had been careful when making sure she would not dirty the commons.

Vivienne was going through the Commons, a bag slung over her shoulder and a Togepi in her arms; Creme was the newest addition to her family, and he seemed slightly listless over being carried. He was just so bored and over it. The girl sighed lightly; getting him psyched over anything was proving to be a challenge, undoubtedly. Training didn't get him excited, food only made him chirp a little, and the only thing he seemed to even take real joy in was trying to out-prank some of Vivienne's other fairies, which he simply couldn't do.
She paused when she spotted Nia. The girl was undoubtedly the same one who'd crashed into her room the other night and wound up discussing art and the Academy in general. A public demonstration then? It was an interesting way to get the word out about an Art Club, if that was her goal. With a small smile, the Kalosian headed over to the other Nature Dormer. "Hey Nia!" She called, not even realizing other people were probably going to stop by or watch the ensuing scene.

Nia tilted her head to the side as she noticed Viv was about. She raised her stump into a small wave before returning to handling the thin brush. She proceeded to sink the thin brush into a yellow bucket of paint, spinning it around for a moment before drawing it out, beginning to sketch out the borders of something. She rubbed her left cheek against her shoulder for a while before speaking to Viv.
"Sit down. Paint. Maybe your togepi. I'm painting a Pikachu." She nodded sagely before staring at the Togepi for a while. She furrowed her eyes at it, as if focusing on it greatly.

She hadn’t been to the commons much, but only when she had to get money or do a battle with one of the students in the academy. There was some art event going on in the commons and she was pretty sure Nia had been planning some kind of get-together for anyone who loved art. Accompanied by Tyler, she made her way to where there were actually art supplies by the table and Nia was there. The Larvitar seemed to be curious of the various art supplies that were on the table, but he knew that it was not for touching anyway. And there seemed to be the same pink-haired girl that she saw at one of her classes and also at the meeting. “Hi Nia. I think this might be a good idea for anyone who wants to do a get together with art lovers. My friend here is Tyler, the Larvitar.”[/color] Tyler gave out a small wave and curiously looked around the commons.

At Nia's suggestion and the other girl's arrival, Vivienne shrugged for a moment before setting her bag down near a canvas. "Okay." There were a few styro-foam trays, decent for acrylic paints, and she grabbed one to use as a quick palette. Snaking some yellow, white, orange, brown, blue, and red the girl went to one of the smaller canvases. Her Togepi was following, a brush under either arm. Creme seemed mildly amused by this compared to what they'd been doing at least. The Kalosian girl sighed as she stared at the canvas for a moment. Her handling of paint was pretty much limited to watercolors and gouache in her sketchbook, but at least it was acrylic instead of oil.
She dipped a medium sized filbert into some of the brown and moved it into the last free spot on the plate, then grabbed some of the blue. Mixing brown and blue gave an extremely dark color that tended to favor a blue tone. After a moment, she began sketching out the Togepi, who posed with one brush like a conquerer's lance.

Nia nodded to Viv as she went off to draw the togepi. She then turned her head rapidly to look to Alice, almost dropping her beret as she then nodded. "Hello." She then quickly dipped the brush into the yellow paint and continuing her basic edge work. "Ya could try drawing Tyler." She nodded rapidly once more.
She then turned her head to look at Viv, growing a soft smile at the togepi posing before returning to her own work. She had made the basic yellow outline for the pikachu. Good, good, now she should get to painting the torso.

“Okay, I’ll try. Tyler, could you stand on this table while I paint you?” He nodded and hopped on a chair and then on the table. There seemed to be an easel that was next to where the Larvitar was standing, so it actually had a good view of what he looked like. With a charcoal pencil, she began to sketch the upper part of his head and the eyes with the triangular black markings on top of it. Tyler was doing a good job at staying still for her and she sketched his head along with his rounded snout. After a few minutes of sketching, the head part was finished and all she needed was the body part of her painting. Actually, she might have a little fun painting the head while she focused on what part of the Larvitar’s body should be drawn. She dabbed her paintbrush in green paint and began painting in the head carefully as if to not mess up by accidentally coloring in the eye’s markings and the eye itself.

Vivienne continued sketching out the Togepi's shape with the dark paint. The acrylics weren't quite as fluid as what she was used to, and they were drying nearly as fast as she was lying them down. Still, it was just for fun and practice, right? Besides, Vivienne knew where her own artistic streak really shone. Give her some needles, thread, and fabric and she was just fine.
She blew on the painted sketch to get the dark color to dry slightly. If she went in with a lighter color too quick, it was liable to run together. In the meantime, the Kalosian girl set to mixing a few more shades. Yellow tinted slightly with the orange and the red to form the shadows she was looking for on the Togepi's skin, and white with just a hint of the dark color to shade the egg shell. She glanced over at the other girls as she waited for her first layer of paint to dry.
"So does this mean....?" Vivienne asked. She was curious if Nia intended to start up an art club officially.

"It could mean anything. Maybe it just means I decided to paint." She shrugged as she finished sketching out the torso of the pikachu. She then stroked her cheek against her shoulder as her tiny beret almost fell off again. "This doesn't relate to it that much, honestly. I'm probably doing the club even if only we three paint here, I just wanted to offer the opportunity to people."
She then looked at Alice's start as she nodded approvingly. She tapped her toes against the floor as she waited for the torso paint to dry as she then begun to hum quietly. A rather jerky tune by the sound of it.

After she finished painting the head, she sketched his body as Tyler stood completely still for her to sketch. Starting with his slanted hip area and drawing in a diamond shape in the middle as his belly along with his scales on it. The holes on his body proved to be difficult to sketch as there might be several she might’ve missed, but she tried sketching those on with ease. She drew his stubby little arms and his little feet with one toenail on each of them. Like all artists, they were a sucker for details, but she wasn’t a perfectionist in some way except when details are actually involved. Finally, she sketched his conical tail with the ring of plate-like scales and…voila. The entire painting was finished except for the painting of his body. Dabbing in her paintbrush with green paint again, she began to paint in his body carefully.

Nia shrugged off the possibility that this was related at all to the potential art club, which Vivienne could only whistle slightly at. She rapped her fingers lightly against the canvas, testing to see if the first layer was dried yet. When they came back clean, she dipped a brush into the shadow color she'd mixed for the Togepi's flesh and began brushing them in slightly.
Creme took a break from posing, and Vivienne's brush slowed lightly as she knitted the strokes along. If she built the highlights onto the shadows, it would bring the dimensionality of the Togepi popping forward. As she finished that, Vivienne looked at the relatively blank background and hummed for a moment. What to do, what to do.
"Oh....hi." She said after a moment as she glanced over at Alice. "You're in the Contest Club too, right? I think we had a Breeding Class together the other week."

Nia smiled to herself once more as the Viv tried to make some contact with Alice. It was nice to see art bring people together, and she was sure it the two would hit it off. Or at the very least talk for a short while. She then turned her attention to her painting as the torso was finished. She nodded to herself, beginning to paint the shape of it's head.
She furrowed her eyebrows as she painted. She would have bet that Wharton would have been in the area. Maybe he was just somewhere else, but it would have been nice for him to try and paint.

While she proceeded to begin painting the diamond-shaped belly of her Larvitar, a voice broke the silence and it belonged to a pink-haired girl. ”Yes, I believe I am in the Contest Club and also at the Breeding class a week ago. I’m Alice and it’s nice to meet you.” After that being said, she concentrated her efforts in painting in the belly. Dabbing her brush in red paint, she painted inside the diamond first which was the key body part in Tyler’s anatomy. After that was done, she dipped the paintbrush in water and dabbed it in green paint to paint the stubby arms and the tail. And when that was done, she dipped the brush in water and dabbed it in black paint to put the finishing touches on the holes. And the painting was finished and it felt like she was a greenhorn artist actually. She had never tried to paint any of her Pokemon, but she did do her best at it. The painting of Tyler looked great and this could be a masterpiece she could actually hang in her room.

Vivienne nodded to Alice before turning back to her own painting. As she let the shadows dry, she got up and grabbed a cup of water, another styrofoam tray, and some more blue paint. She slashed some of the blue paint around the Togepi and then dipped the large brush in water. Vivienne dragged the brush out, the watered down paint flowing smoothly and running ever so slightly. She had to be careful on the area above the Togepi to make sure that it didn't drip down on the Pokemon she had been painting. A smaller brush to redirect the drips away from the Togepi solved that problem well enough, but Vivienne knew that she'd have to stay and wait a while longer while she painted. Even watercolors and acrylics didn't dry automatically, after all. Living in Kalos, you could throw a rock and hit an artist of some sort. That's how she'd learned to draw and paint in the first place, after all.

Nia slowly hummed to herself as she painted out the shape of the pikachu's head. This was the true essence of life and freedom to her. Just she and her brush and nothing else in the world to worry about. The tiny beret on her head wobbled along as she tilted her head from side to side, analyzing the whole of her painting before nodding in satisfaction at the shape she had achieved. She then begun to color it, sinking her whole bush into a deep black as she then begun to paint out the eyes. She looked to the other two for a moment.
