As Benji entered the forest he was met with a cool breeze, it smelled of flowers and nature...and it made him feel at ease. He was planning on just staying in the dorm today, but decided it was best to get out and get some fresh air. Now he was glad he did so because this place was very peaceful and welcoming. Better than sitting in the dorm reading old books in the library. Long thick roots lined the forest floor and he had to be careful not to trip over any of them. The tree these belonged to must be huge, he wondered how long this forest had been around. To the naked eye the place seemed deserted, but with a place like this he knew it had to be filled with tons of Pokemon. They must just be hiding really well in the thick plants and such. He wasn't in any hurry anyway so he just casually began to stroll through the forest, he was bound to run into something sooner or later.

Behold! A wild Pokemon appeared!

[Benji Aldaine]

An odd looking leaf sticking out of a bush caught Benji's attention. It didn't look part of the bush, having a lighter green color and a total different leaf all together. It swayed back and forth even though there was no breeze which made it even more weird. "What the heck..." he muttered as he leaned in and tugged on the leaf. He expected it to pull off but instead he felt something heavy connected to it. He tugged harder and this time it began to wiggle! Shocked he let go and stepped back. A moment later a Chikorita popped its head out of the bush and glared at him. "Oh...oops, sorry." Benji said as he laughed and scratched his head. "I hope I didn't hurt you," he said apologetically and waved to the grass-type before continuing on. He'd have to be careful with the next odd thing he found, cause for all he knew it could be another Pokemon!

It wasn't long before Benji ran into another Pokemon, and this one was way more obvious. A small Bulbasaur casually crossed his path not even noticing the trainer. "Hey there," he said softly not wanting to scare the grass type. It froze in place, turning ever so slowly to get a glance at Benji. It looked slightly scared but not enough to run away. "Sorry about this but I really want to catch you...I'll make it quick." The Bulbasaur turned to leave so Benji quickly grabbed a ball and released his Charmeleon. "Duncan, flamethrower, now." Duncan landed on the forest floor and instantly shot out the flames towards the fleeing grass type. The poor thing didn't have a chance and with a loud sizzle and smoke it hit dead on. The Bulbasaur fell to the ground in a heap as smoke still drifted off its body. "I'll get you healed up soon, don't worry." He said as he threw an empty Pokeball and waited.

Action: Charmeleon used Flamethrower. OHKO. Attempted catch.

Fortunately, this is not what happens.
You catch the Bulbasaur. Don't forget to remove an academy ball from your bag.

As he expected the Bulbasaur didn't put up a fight and the ball quickly clicked as the Pokemon was caught. With a smirk Benji jogged over to the ball and scooped it up. "Another one to add to my collection," he said lightly as he nodded to Duncan. They both turned and exited the forest. His stomach was growling and he knew he'd better eat and get to some studying he had pushed back for longer than he should have. Today had been good, he made a good catch and at least felt somewhat productive. He'd be sure to go catch another Pokemon once his studies were finished and his stomach was full.
