Lovely weather for a battle [Battle vs Tanya]

"That sounds like a pretty dangerous combo." Tanya called out to Akihito as the Nosepass hit himself again. "I lost to the winner of the tournament as well, Adolfina. She is brutal on the field and destroyed me with her Goodra. Her Whimsicott was also a pain in the butt to deal with due to her Prankster ability. It was probably only my Lopunny that prevented me from being sleep stalled to oblivion like in the final match."

She wasn't sure how long this match could last. Hopefully it wasn't too long and the accumulated damage of the Nosepass hitting itself and Flect's Extrasensories could lead her to a victory. Hopefully. Whatever the case was, Tanya knew that she had the advantage, even if it was an incredibly slim one.

"Flect, Extrasensory once more!" Tanya commanded, crossing her arms. "I'm guessing this is a training team or something along the lines of that, huh?" Now that the battle was like this, she felt like being social. "I've got a few pokemon I want to train up as well. Hopefully I can evolve some of them like Flect here."

Aki hear what she had said about her most difficult match in her tournament. The other two for him were quite simple really, he breezed right through them and onto the finals where he got stomped. Taking a deep breath and letting it out as the Nosepass hit herself once more. She was getting week, just a couple more hits and she's going to be gone. He did have one moveup his sleeve that could work but it was going to extramly risky with the confusion. He had hoped that the last round the confusion was going to wear off but it didn't. The Bronzor hit the Nosepass hit, started to teeter but it stayed upright and Aki started to breath again.

"Yeah it is, hopefully this Nosepass will evolve soon. Its been my star player lately." Aki said answering Tanya's inquiry. He was going to chance it, hoping it will pay off. "Missy. Take a nice Rest" He shouted out hoping the pokemon did hit herself.

Of course the Nosepass had Rest. Why wouldn't it? It wasn't like it was going to be super annoying or make this match last even longer than was probably necessary. The disgruntlement in Tanya's voice could be heard by her really loud groan. Still though, Tanya had time and she could very easily confuse the Nosepass as soon as she tried to wake up. It was still really annoying though.

"Wow, you really did it." Tanya muttered in a deadpan voice, shrugging her shoulders. "If that's the way it's going to be, Flect, boost your defense up even more with Iron Defense." Once again, Flect toughened up its defenses, skyrocketing its ability to take Nosepass's hits. To be honest, Tanya wished that the Nosepass didn't have Rest. This was going to be a needlessly long struggle between the two of them.

Action: Flect used Iron Defense! Harshly raises Defense stat.

The Rest had worked and the confusion had worn off as well. This battle was finally looking up for Akihito until Tanya had Flect use Iron Defense again. That was going to be twice that it had use the move and that meant it was now up four stages. Yes he had prolonged the battle by using Rest but he wasn't going to let Tanya win this. Aki had to prove that he was better than just second place in a beginners tournament. Aki let out a groan of displeasure just as his opponent did when Missy used Rest.

"You told me to not disappoint you. Have I now?" He quipped, then gave her a smirk. Aki was going to take down the blasted Bronzor. He had now found a Pokémon that was more annoying than his mother trying to get him to do cardio. He couldn't do anything really for other couple turns until Missy woke up. So he just had to stand there and hope he didn't mess up too bad.

"Well, this is something that's never really happened before." Tanya admitted, shrugging her shoulders. "I'm not going to let you win that easily though. I can stay here for hours if that's what it takes to win. A little Rest isn't going to make me give up."

Some people could call Tanya an idiot. Maybe she was. They could call her prideful. That she definitely was. Whatever she was, Tanya knew that giving up would be pretty pathetic. With that mentality in mind, it was hard for her to get too disgruntled with the whole restcapades.

"Flect, use Extrasensory." Tanya called out, Flect's eyes flashing as it used mystic energies to attack the Nosepass. "I'll give credit where credit's due. You're good at elongating fights."

Aki couldn't do anything until Missy woke up. He hoped it would be soon, he needed to take this Bronzor down. Though with it using Iron Defense again it would take even longer to take him down. Smirking at Tanya said about him elongating the battle. It wasn't his intention to do so, he was trying to do everything in his power to win the battle. He wasn't going to loose after lasting this long against the Bronzor. Tanya called out another Extrasensory and Flect did its weird twitching things again.

"I'm not giving up on this battle. I have nowhere to go, I can be here all night if I have to." He was focused on the battle. This battle was surely one to tell his sister when they spoke again. And again he couldn't do anything with Missy asleep. At this point, he had a stone monuments as a Pokémon.

"Well, since we both have the same mindset, it looks like this is going to be a battle to talk about, huh?" Tanya remarked, crossing her arms and chuckling to herself. He had spunk, she'd give him that. For a moment, she wondered if there was any situation that would be worse than this. One that came to mind would be two cocoon pokemon fighting against each other. Something like a Metapod vs. Metapod fight where they just hardened against each other. That would probably be worse.

"Use Confuse Ray Flect." Tanya said to the Bronzor, realizing that shouting was not a smart plan for this battle. Flect fired off its yellow balls of light, confusing the Nosepass. "Since this battle is going to take some time, might as well talk. You training your pokemon?" Tanya asked, sitting down and getting herself comfortable. From the looks of it, she was taking what she said very seriously.

Nodding at Tanya about them being in the same mindset. Aki wasn't the type to give up on something he wanted. Like he wasn't going to give up on getting Alice to be his girlfriend. Though that would be about a hundred percent harder since he had no control over her feelings. He did however have control over what his Nosepass did. It was the third round and Missy was now awake he now had to plan his next move but he only had two moves he could use and one was never than the other. Then Tanya did the move he hoped she wouldnt do.

"Sérieusement!" He said in his native Kalosian. It was unbelievably annoying that that she would do that when he had just gotten free of it not too long ago. Now he would have to be hoping that she didn't it herself when she attacked. He noticed Tanya had sat down and made herself comfortable. Raising an eyebrow hr was puzzled at the action but it had been a long battle thus far. "Missy, Rock Slide" As the golden Nosepass attempted her attack Aki answered Tanya's question. "Yes I am, I've got quite a few that I want and need to train."

"I guess we are in a similar boat then." Tanya stated, watching as the Nosepass hit itself in its confusion. "I have a lot of pokemon I want to train as well. These are only three of them. At the same time though, I have a pretty strong team that I like to use. Managed to get me to the Semi-Finals after all." She took a moment to think about what move she should use, but it was pretty obvious by now what she should do.

"Extrasensory once more." Tanya stated, watching Flect start to act up again. "God, you have a shiny as well? Sometimes I wonder if everyone's got a shiny except for me. Not that I'm desperate for one though. I just thought it might be nice to have." Shininess was an interesting concept, but not one she actively searched for. Some people did go a bit crazy for them though. Tanya wasn't one of those people.

Nodding once more in agreement, he was for once actually getting bored of a battle. He had been so excited to battle someone that did so well in the experts tournament. But for it to be a stalemate, it was utterly ridiculous. Though he knew deep down that he may not win this battle. He couldn't just give up he was going to give it his all. "I'mstill working on getting a good sturdy team together. But I've got a lot of options to choose from." He stated as the Bronzor started freaking out using Extrasensory.

Once the move was over he knew that Missy wasn't going to be much use, and either will Ophelia the Espurr. But he was going to trudge on. "Missy, please hit the Bronzor this time. Rock Slide." He pleaded with his shiny Nosepass. "Yeah, I wasn't even looking for a Nosepass when I stumbled upon her. I was looking for a completely different type than Rock. But you now, you see a shiny you've got to try and catch it. I noticed a lot of people here have shiny." He said in exchange watching his Nosepass.

Once again, the Nosepass hit itself in confusion. Tanya let out a little yawn, trying not to get completely bored by the battle. While this part of the match was incredibly boring, it was probably going to be the main decider on who would win or lose, specifically because her final pokemon was a Munchlax, who had nearly no way to deal with the Nosepass effectively.

"Hey, I'd do the same thing. It's sort of a novelty thing I guess." Tanya said, wishing that the battle would reach some form of conclusion that was slanted towards her victory. She wasn't going to concede. Not ever. Not while she had a chance to win. "Flect, use Extrasensory again." Tanya stated, watching the Bronzor's eyes flicker as it used psychic energies to mess with the Nosepass.

"You know, I sort of have to wonder if anyone else has had a battle like this." Tanya wondered out loud. "This would probably be a very anti-climactic fight if this was in a tournament or something."

Letting out a team, he was getting tired. This battle had gone on along time and be was just wanting it to end. Missy had hit herself with the confusion, it was frustrating then Bronzor hit her with another Extrasensory. The psychic attack was still unsettling after the tenth time. "Yes, Missy is a novelty. Just being a Nosepass, as well. They are interesting creatures." All Pokémon are interesting. Aki was preparing for his next attack. Thinking if he would Rest again and prolong the battle that much longer or just admit that he wasn't going to be the victor.

"Alright Missy, let try this again. Rock Slide." He said hoping she hit the damn thing."Yeah, this wouldn't be a very exciting tournament battle"

An attack finally hit the Bronzor, but Flect didn't even acknowledge the attack. It took next to no damage and was more of a mere scratch than a full out attack. It didn't even flinch and now Tanya was stuck in the hard predicament of whether or not she should confuse the Nosepass again. When she thought about it though, there wasn't too much of a point. If Akihiko rested, she could just attack and confuse the Nosepass when it woke up. It would just be a sort of sick cycle that could last forever. Instead, she decided to go on the offensive.

"As much fun as all of this conversation is, there is still a match going on and I still have the full intention to win." Tanya declared, standing up and slashing her arm through the air. "Flect, hit the Nosepass with Extrasensory as per usual!" Once again the pokemon's eyes flickered, using its psychic abilities to mysteriously inflict damage on the Nosepass. Having seen the attack being used, Tanya had wondered what the heck was happening to the pokemon that were on the receiving end. Maybe some things were better left a secret though...

Finally a hit landed on the Bronzor, but it would have been like a Dragon type trying to hit a Fairy type. No damage was felt, if there was any it barely registered. Then Tanya had Bronzor use Extrasensory. Missy teetered but righted herself but was visually weak. Aki was getting tired of this annoying cycle, he could havegthe Nosepass Rest and start the vicious cycle all over again. But he was going to try another tactic that way loose him the match but it will end the battle quicker. "Very well, if you say so. But I do have to say that that Bronzor is a great defensive Pokémon." He complimented her on Bronzor. He had to admit he needed to mold his Pokémon to their strengths. "Alight Missy, give him another Rock Slide" It was apparent that she was out of her confusion on had a higher chance of doing damage to the Bronzor, what little damage it does do.

The flinch was bound to go off eventually, she wasn't exactly sure when. When the next attack hit and Flect was unable to attack, Tanya let out a soft sigh and shrugged. "Yeah, they're great for being defensive! Not great at attacking though." Tanya admitted, smiling sheepishly as another turn was going to pass in this battle.

"I guess Nosepass are good defensive pokemon as well, though their typing isn't as good as the Bronzor line. For one thing, Rock has a lot of weaknesses. I guess the Steel type when it evolves helps mitigate some of the weaknesses it suffers though." She was now talking about things that came to her mind, the battle seeming like a somewhat tertiary thing. "Oleg had a Probopass and I heard it was his Nosepass that destroyed the Library that time. Managed to defeat it with Daniel, my Lopunny though."
