Terror Comes in Small Packages [Battle/Ginny]

Finding her way to the Commons had been easy enough, but she would have to learn from the last two battles. Although, Isabeau had come in close to winning, she had fallen to both the burn and the fairy dog’s Earthquake. The little ones that she had hatched hadn’t had their battles yet, but it would be a good idea to train them against the Nature Dorm girl. Lulu the Hydreigon had accompanied her while she registered her team and walked inside the arena. The trainers there were battling with some of their opponents and some of them had been experienced trainers. While Lulu had plenty of battles with only wild Pokemon, she had become strong enough to defeat most of her opponents and it was possible that she might join in a future tournament or an event soon. And she stood still for the other trainer to arrive and she was confident that she had some decent coverage against some of the Nature Dormer’s Pokemon. Only the female Hydreigon was content to just stand there and watch the entire battle unfold.

It was time for another battle, she hadn't won one yet but she didnt care if she one or lost. It was the experience that she cared about. As long as her Pokémon were happy and enjoying what they were doing he was fine with stated the outcome of the battle was. Ginny had a battle scheduled with her friend Alice, and she was looking forward to see her again. Registering her team she walked into the field that she and Alice was assigned to. Looking across the field she saw Alice with a three headed Dragon. It was just a cute as the Mismagius that she had at the shop. "Isn't she a cutie, when did you get her? She said commenting on the Hydreigon that was hovering next to the Mana Dormer. "Also its nice to see you again Alice" Ginny added as she waited for Alice to speak.

Taking out a Pokeball she threw it and her Litwick appeared on the field. It sat there looking around then saw the Hydreigon. "Don't worry Amber, I don't think Alice would send the Hydreigon into battle" She reassured the tiny candle. It seemed to calm down and the flame flickered on her head.

”Why, thank you. I evolved her from a Zweilous I caught in Dragon’s Den. Lulu’s such a sweetie though. And it is nice to see you again as well, Ginny.” The Hydreigon hovered idly as she looked over at the Nature Dorm girl and Ginny had sent out a Litwick which was the ghost she had obtained as a starter. It reminded her of how cute Henry was as a Litwick, but there was no time to think about that now. ”Hans, take the stage.” Producing an occupied Academy Ball, she released the psychic fairy outside with a click where he looked at the candle ghost. At least, Hans had defeated a Togepi last match and he had been quite confident of his battling ability. ”I had a Litwick as my starter once. He has since evolved into a Chandelure.” It was better to start a conversation while they were battling since standing there and being quiet would be boring.

Action: Sent out Hans the Ralts

Giggling slightly at the conversation that the two girls were having. She had heard of the Dragons Den, its said you need to have at least two fully evolved pokemon and a certain HM to go there. She was a long ways from being able to go there but she'll get there. But she didn't have any desire on getting a Dragon type. She did have her Charmander and it was the closest thing she'll get to one. Though one of Gingers Mega evolutions was part Dragon.

Ginny watched as her friend through out a ball and a Ralts appeared. A couple things ran through her mind, what she needed to do to take care of his Psychic/Fairy. She could use Hex and take care of it but she didn't know what tricks Alice had up her sleeve. "Maybe we should see how Amber and your Chandelure get along some time" Ginny said smiling and giggling. Then Ginny got her head back into what was happening. "Amber, let's try Hex" The Litwicks eyes lit up and she did something Ginny couldn't explain.

”I’m sure Henry will be glad to make friends with Amber. They could be buddies.” And before Hans could even realize what was happening, a Hex had knocked him over and he was down in one fell swoop. Returning the Ralts back inside his Academy Ball, she produced another occupied Academy Ball and released Layla in the guise of a Larvitar. “Let’s show her the dark powers of Dark Pulse.” The disguised fox snickered as she released a wave of darkness to attack the candle ghost and she had actually shown her playful side in battle for once. Maybe Hans would need a bit more time to train himself, but it was definite that he had been confident in himself. The Litwick definitely got some good Special Attack to even defeat a Ralts this way though. Well, she just hoped that the disguised fox would make it through this fight.

Action: Hans fainted. Illusion activated. Sent out disguised Larvitar. Disguised Larvitar used Dark Pulse!

Seeing the Ralts go down so quickly she kind of felt bad for the little guy. Though this was a battle and that was the idea of it, knock out the opponent before they knock you out. Amber let out a joyful noise and bounced up and down. She knew she did a good job, all Ginny could do was smile and giggle. She loved her new Litwick and it was going to prove to be a great member of the team. And then Alice released her second pokemon. It wasn't going to be an easy one. It was a Larvitar, she remembered that it was part Dark. That means that Amber isn't going to last long any more. Suddenly a pulse of dark energy came rushing toward the tiny candle. It was hit really hard, it tried to sit back up but it was just barely taken out by it.

"Well, I guess that makes us even" Ginny said giggling. Recalling her Litwick she pulled out another ball and threw it. This time another fire type came out but this one was pure fire, a Charmander named Ginger. "OK Ginger, why not try a Fire Blast." Ginny said hoping the attack was going to hit.

After the Litwick fainted, a Charmander had taken her place and tried to attack the disguised Larvitar with a blast of fire, only to miss. Even so, Fire Blast was a very powerful move and there was no way that a low-leveled Charmander could learn it already except for teaching it as a TM. Now that Ginger’s attack had missed, it was the opportune time to strike back at the fire lizard. ”Again, use Dark Pulse!” Once again, the disguise Larvitar giggled as she released another wave of pulsating darkness towards the fire lizard. It felt like luck had helped her this time, but only in battles and in the case of finding Pokemon to catch, it went both ways. ”So, what type specialty are you going for, Ginny?” The Hydreigon stared at the entire battle and she had only wished that her friend would join in the battle, but it seemed to be the newest members that battled first.

Ginnys eyes widened when the Fire Blast missed its target. That would've hit the opponent with a good deal of damage. Because of the miss the 'Larvitar' got a free pass. Ginny had to think of something, she could do the same move but it would she thought it may have the same results. Though he had to give it a try. As she thought of what to do, Ginger was hit with the same attack that took down Amber in on hit. Ginger the Charmander braced for the impart and the Dark Pulse took her down to one knee but she recovered. Ready for another attack Ginny gave the command. "Ginger, let's give the Fire Blast another shot" The fire salamander nodded and started powering up for the attack. "I haven't given it a thought yet. I am not very interested in becoming a actual trainer. I want to be a Pokemon Doctor or Nurse." She said answering her friends question.

And this time, the blast of fire hit the disguised Larvitar and the illusion disappeared, leaving a black and red fox to lie on the ground unconscious. Well, the element of surprise did work on messing with Ginny’s mind nonetheless. Returning the fox back inside her Academy Ball, she produced the final Academy Ball and released the real Larvitar outside where he glared at the Charmander. ”Tyler, use Earthquake!” Tyler stomped on the ground where the ground cracked and an earthquake had attacked the Charmander. The fire salamander was already weakened by the Dark Pulse that Layla had used as her attack, so this would make things even. ”Ah, I see. Nursing is a very good profession and it even helps to take care of sick Pokemon or even ones that fainted in battle. As for myself, I think I might want to participate in Pokemon Contests or start my own gym back home.” Since gym leaders were absent presently, she might try to become a gym leader herself if it was allowed.

Action: Layla fainted. Sent out Tyler the Larvitar. Tyler used Earthquake!

Watching the illusion wear off of the 'Larvitar' revealing it to a Zorua. Ginny raised an eyebrow and was a little puzzled, she would have to research that ability a little more. It made her confused a little but it was kid of good that the first fire blast missed. This one hit the Zorua harder than the first one would've because Gingers ability Blaze was triggered and boosted its attack power. Though while Ginny was celebrating the win over the Zorua in her mind the real Larvitar was sent outonto the field. Then Alice ccommands the tiny Pokémon to use Earthquake. Ginny cringed knowing that Ginger wasn't going to last through that attack. The ground shook and the Charmander went down with ease. Recalling the Chamander "Good job Ginger, you deserve a good rest" She said reaching for her last Pokemon. "Let give it a shot Travis." Out of ball bounded an Oshawott. Smiling big and looked at the Larvitar. "Give the Larvitar a nice Surf." Ginny said as Travis prepared to attack. "That's a great plan Alice. You would make a great Gym Leader." Ginny answered her friends statement.

Action: Charmander fainted; Send out Oshawott, Oshawott used Surf.

The fire salamander went down in a flash and Tyler did a happy dance until a water otter was sent out. That otter was an Oshawott, a starter in the Unova region and Travis had proceeded to summon a giant wave and the wave crashed down on the Larvitar, knocking him out instantly. That Oshawott did have strong attacks in his arsenal this time around and it was apparent that Ginny had won. Returning Tyler back inside his Pokeball, she quietly praised him for his efforts. The female Hydreigon had been watching the whole battle and it was quite saddening to see her trainer’s Pokemon fall one by one from type advantages. ”Thank you. And well, I lost unfortunately, but congratulations on your win. Travis did a g good job thus far.” Five losses in a row was something to be worried about, but it was probably her strategy that made her lose. Perhaps, she would have to change the way she battled, but maybe contest battles were better.

Action: Tyler fainted. Ginny is the victor.

The Giant wave took out Alices Larvitar and Oshawott came to settle on his side of the field. She had a hard time at the beginning of the battle. She didn't know if she was going to pull of the victory, but she really didn't care if she won or lost. The point of a battle was to let her Pokémon do what they love to do and the experience is what matted to Ginny. She had quite enjoyed herself battling her friend. She couldn't tell if Alice was happy or not. "You were awesome yourself. You had me worried with the Zorua, wasn't sure if Ginger was going to pull of the win. Also Travis, Travis is just Travis. He just loves the water, and that move is perfect for him" While she said that she saw Travis playing in a puddle left from the combination of Larvitar Earthquake and Oshawotts Surf. She laughed at the sight and then recalled the otter. "Hope you have a great day Alice. We should have lunch someday." Having said that she turn and left the field.

"Alright. See you later." As Ginny had left the arena, she did not care if she had lost at all. Besides, the point of battling was to let everyone have fun doing it and not for the sake of winning. The female Hydreigon looked over at her trainer and tried to cheer her up. She smiled at Lulu's direction and spoke. "It's okay. Everyone tried their best, so it didn't matter. Let's go to the infirmary first. I bet the others must be injured after that battle." The dragon nodded and the duo left the arena to go to the infirmary. Those wounds from the battle would need to be healed before they could be sent home to the Mana Dorms and she would hate for them to not get a proper treatment. Weakened Pokemon were more likely to perform badly in battle than the ones that are in full health.
