Aki hadn't been to the library yet, he loved to read. The library was the best place for thar and he though he would bring Drago and Jeffrey the Mudkip along with him. He had heard the library had been completely destroyed by some kid named Oleg and a girl whose name escapes him at the moment. Though upon arriving he see that it is repaired and looking great. Holding his Mudkip and Drago walking along side of him, they make it back to the trainer section. Passing numerous tables, chairs and couches with kids reading, studying and just hanging out. He found it peaceful in the building, he knew he wouldn't be distracted by much here. Though his mind kept trailing back to his last couple battles. Also the date he had with Alice, he hadn't talked or seen her since then. It kind of worried him, did she not have a good time on the date, did she not feel the same way he did. All those thoughts were running through his head.
Reaching the section he was searching for. Then he looked up and down the shelves until he came across a book at struck his interest. It was a book about Pokémon abilities, the history and the different types, also details on each one. He knew that each pokemon had one or two abilities that they could know. Then there was also a hidden ability that he didn't know much about. The book in one hand and Jeffrey in the other he made his way over to a couch that was off by itself. Sitting down he placed Jeffrey next to him and Drago sat on the floor in front of Jeffrey to make sure the baby Mudkip doesn't fall off. Jeffrey started to play with a small bubble he produced and Aki dove into the book.

Tanya stretched as she entered the library, followed closely behind by Daniel the Lopunny and Pippa the Chansey. She was super proud of Pippa, having managed to raise her to be a wonderful pokemon. Thinking that a Chansey with Evolite would have higher defenses than a Blissey, she elected to let her stay in her Chansey state, which didn't seem to bother her at all. Chansey seemed to be filled with joy, bouncing with each step she took. Daniel cheerfully looked at the Chansey, as if the happiness radiating off her was affecting him as well.
"Wonder where I could find that book." Tanya mused to herself, browsing through the sections before her eyes fell upon the book in question. It detailed Kalosian pokemon and after the battle with Akihito, she had wanted to do more research into the Meowstic line. Picking up the book, she looked for a place to sit, stopping when she saw Akihito reading a book. Quickly rushing over towards him, she was followed closely behind by Pippa and Daniel, Pippa having a harder time keeping up.
"What ya reading, Dragon Tamer?" Tanya asked, her eyes scanning the cover of the book that Akihito had. "Pokemon abilities? Why you want to look up on stuff like that?" At this moment, Tanya's pokemon had managed to catch up, Pippa almost immediately moving towards the Fraxure and Mudkip, waving at them cheerily. Daniel followed behind her, bowing his head and smiling sheepishly.
"Nice Fraxure. I have a Haxorus myself actually." Tanya mentioned, giving Akihito a wide grin.

Aki sat on the couch with his back in the corner and his feet on the seat crossed with the book in his lap. Jeffrey was in front of him on the couch playing with his tail and Drago being the concerned older brother making sure he doesn't fall off. Akihito peered up to watch his pokemon for a moment before delving back into the book. He wasn't to find a way to unlock the hidden ability of his Pokémon. He had heard from his mother, depending on the right variables some offspring will have the species hidden ability. Though even as great of a breeder his mother is, even she couldn't explain how or why this happens. So he thought he would read a book by a Professor that specializes in Pokémon abilities. He was just getting into the book when a familiar voice called him 'Dragon Tamer'. Looking up he saw the girl he had the long drawn out battle with.
"Hi.... Tanya, right?" He said trying to remember her name. She was accompanied by a Chansy and Lopunny. It was funny, this was the second trainer at this academy that was in one dorm but trained Pokémon from other dorms specialty. Though for some reason normal types weren't included in any dorm, which Aki found odd. But anyways helooked at the book he was holding then back up to Tanya. "Trying to understand how hidden abilities work. See what has to happen to have a oPokémon have it's hidden ability." The lava dormer answered and closed the book to give his full attention to Tanya.
Fraxure was now greeting the Lopunny and now the Chansy that had taken a bit longer to catch up. Jeffrey was now trying to get at the Lopunnys ears to play with them. "Please excuse Jeffrey, he's the Pokémon I got from Ms. Brennan's class. Just hatched not too long ago." He smiled petting the tiny water pokemon. Then Drago hear the complement about him. Drago was a little more full of himself since he evolved so he stood a little taller when Tanya mention that he looked good. All Aki could do was face palm at the sight. "Thanks, now I gotta listen to him gloatall night" Akihito said chuckling a little.

"Tanya's my name, training's my game." Tanya responded playfully, sticking out her tongue. On the mention of hidden abilities though, a pensive look replaced the previous one, her face scrunched in thought as she tried to remember as much information she could about hidden abilities. "Oh, you mean those abilities that normally can't be found on wild pokemon." She asked, seemingly becoming interested with the topic.
Daniel huffed, not appreciating anyone messing with his ears. Pippa put an arm on Daniel, giving him a bright smile to try and calm him down. Looking at the Chansey's smile, Daniel couldn't help but smile as well. When Tanya looked over towards the Fraxure, she couldn't help but chuckle.
"Sorry about that, he just reminds me of my Haxorus." Tanya mentioned wistfully, her thoughts on the pokemon she was slightly scared to use lingering in her mind. "You know, ever since I caught him, I haven't used my Haxorus. I don't know, he just doesn't really get along with anyone else and is really strong. Maybe I'm just being silly, but sometimes I wonder if I can keep him under control."
Tanya looked worried as she told Akihito the problems she had with Nathan. He was a Dragon Tamer. Nathan was a Dragon. Maybe she thought he could help. "Any advice you got for me?" Tanya asked, her eyes plastered to the floor.

Smiling at the comment Tanya made about her. Then Aki saw she got a look of deep thought, he waited until she spoke again. She had hit the nail on the head, he was talking about the abilities that pokemon can't naturally learn in the wild. "Yes, those are the ones I'm talking about. My mother is a breeder back in Lumiose City and she told me a little about them. But she too does not know much about them. She mostly just cares if the pokemon are healthy and happy." Aki finished his statement and then he looked down at the Lopunny and Chansey. It was clear Daniel didn't like his ears messed with. Aki picked up Jeffrey and held him in his lap.
"No no, you're fine. Drago is just likes the compliments, he just sometimes let it go to his head" He said looking over at his Fraxure. This time Drago was scratching his head in embarrassment. Akihito let out a hearty laugh at Drago and if Pokémon could blush Drago would've. Then the conversation turned to the topic of Dragos final form, Haxorus. Tanya was say she had one and didn't know how to keep it under control. He didn't have that problem with any of his dragons but they were around other Dragon types so they all got along. "No you're not being silly. Dragons can be the hardest types to train. They are stubborn, easily angered but they can also be some of them most loyal and strongest team member you can have." He said uncrossing his legs and the turning so his back with against the back of the couch. Aki offered Tanya the spot next to him.
Waiting for her to sit he motioned for Drago to come to him. "Take Drago here. I've had him since he was a Axew. When we first met he wouldn't listen to me and was always running off. But once we got to know each other I wouldn't want any other partner besides Drago." The boy said reaching for his bag. Opening his bag he grabbed a couple cans of pokemon food. One for Dragon types, one for water types and the other for normal types. Opening the can for Dragon types he poured some in the lid and gave it to Drago. Then he repeated the process for Jeffrey. His Pokémon started to eat, then he spoke again. "Would your pokemon like some. It was sent to me from home. Its my mothers own recipe."

Tanya promptly took the spot next to him and with the way that Akihito was describing Dragon type pokemon, it sounded like he was onto something. Still, maybe it was something she could work with over time. Honestly, she didn't really have a reason to use Nathan at the moment. She had more fun coming up with strategies for Pippa and some of her other pokemon. Still, it was nice to have the pokemon around.
"I guess you may have a point" Tanya muttered, looking over towards the small group of pokemon that had formed. It was nice, seeing them be together. She had to remind herself that this wasn't an average life that people lead and that even being here was a great opportunity.
Noting the food, Tanya gave a cheerful smile as she thanked Akihito. "These look great!" Tanya said, passing the treats onto Pippa and Daniel, who both seemed to really enjoy the food. "You're mother a breeder then? That's pretty cool, that she could make this sorta stuff."
Tanya store into the distance, a wave of nostalgia washing over her as she thought back to her family for a moment. They seemed to be doing fine, judging from the letters she received from that. That was a positive.
"Normal type pokemon are pretty awesome." Tanya suddenly said, looking towards Akihito. "My mum had a Zangoose that she grew up with, so I guess I really attached myself to the type. I mean they're really versatile and have only one weakness and even one immunity. Sorta makes up for having no weaknesses they can exploit alongside resistances of their own. Still, people underestimate them and I'm really glad I did well with Daniel in the Expert's Tournament."
Tanya stayed quiet for a moment, as if in momentary thought. "I guess you could say that I'm a Normal Tamer." She joked, chuckling at the bad joke she made.

Aki wasn't sure himself if what he was saying was good advice. He hadn't had enough experience with Dragon types to give sound advice. He was his personal experience with the Axew evolutionary line. He'd probably have to see Haxorus in action to determine what he and Tanya was like together. But the real person that could give them advice was his grandfather. He was the best Dragon Tamer he knew. Though his grandfather passed away several years ago and now he had to relay on people that knew general kknowledge about pokemon or on certain types other than Dragon.
"Thanks, yes she is. Her mother was a breeder and her father was a Dragon Tamer. He's the reason I want to be a Dragon Tamer." Akihito thought about his grandparents and even his parents back home. He missed them SK much and wanted to see them. They got to see each other on video chats but that wwasn't the same as to physically being able to hug them. Most kids he had met came to the academy because of a bad home life. But he came here to make his dream a reality. "Also the reason I knew about the Espurr line. He said petting Jeffrey on the head and hr gave out a happy sound. "My mother has a Meowstic. I would say it is our 'pet' but she so much more than that." Aki laugh as he this time thought about the Meowstic.
"I am not downgrading the normal types but they have no flare. That's why Dragons are the superior type." Aki said taking the can lid away from Jeffrey and Drago. Placing the cans back in his bag and looking back at Tanya. She wasn't what she was during their battle. Though Aki wasn't either, something gets triggered during a better for his and he transforms into a different person. Hes ruthless but so much he would put his or his opponents pokemon in danger.
Aki chuckled slightly at the comment about her being a 'Normal Tamer'. He hadn't heard the term before but who knows it might stick. His chuckle subsided and hr thought for a moment then spoke. "Thanks to our battle, my Nosepass evolved into a Probopass."

"Excuse me?" Tanya said in mild shock, awkwardly chuckling in response to Akihito's claim. "As "cool" as Dragon type pokemon, in my honest opinion, Normal Pokemon are pretty awesome in their own right. In any case, there isn't a best type for anything." She chastised, frowning at Akihito. What the heck did "flare" mean anyway? If she used Daniel, she could show off just how powerful he could be.
"That's awesome! My Munchlax evolved after that battle as well. So it's a mutual thingy." Tanya said, tilting her head. A part of her just wanted to battle with her Normal pokemon. On the flipside however, she still needed to do some training. After all, she had only recently acquired Beta, who was going to be her premier special attacker. She also needed to find a physical wall sometime. However, she did have the basis for a pretty decent normal team.
"I guess since I'm a Normal Tamer, I can tell you that I'm planning on making a Mono-Normal team." She informed the boy, gesturing towards Daniel and Pippa. "I'm still in the process of making a fully-fledged team, but I feel like I can make a strong showing with the pokemon I have so far."
Tanya shrugged. "We could have a battle sometime. Could be fun."

Aki noticed that Tanya took offence to the comment about Normal types. He wasn't saying that they were a bad type, he just meant that they weren't a showy type. They had a lot of physical attacks and relied on strengthas ffor Dragons they were a mixture of both. "I wasn't saying Normal types are bad. I was just saying that they weren't the flasher more flamboyant type." Aki hoped that he had cleared that up then she moved on to talking about her Munchlax that had evolved into a Snorlax. Pulling out his Dex he did a quick search for the Pokémon in question. His jaw dropped Nd then looked at Tanya.
This Snorlax was larger than any of his Pokémon. Most of them combined didn't weigh as much as the extremely large normal type. It out weighted his Probopass and was larger than all except for maybe Dragonair, but she was more length than height. "Yeah, it would seem so. But it always amazes me how a six foot eleven, one thousand and fourteen pound bear cat thing fit into a pokeball." He said holding up an empty Academyball. In its miniature form he tossed it up and caught it. Then he clicked the button then clicked it again and minimized it. Then the prospect of another battle arose. Aki didn't think he was ready for another battle against Tanya. He knew that Missy would do well but he didn't want to be in the same mess that he got himself into in the first battle. "Another battle? Got tons more training go do before I battle you again." Aki chuckled trying to lighten the mood.

Tanya crossed her arms and huffed, still looking mildly displeased, but nothing too major. She found that she tended to get offensive when her opinions were questioned, especially on preferences towards pokemon. Sure Dragon pokemon were super strong, but they got walled by Fairies. It could be argued that Normal pokemon couldn't hit Ghosts, but she could easily rebuttal that. In her mind, while their stats were middling at best, she still loved them enough to legitimately make a team based on only that type.
"Hey, if a Wailord can fit into a pokeball, a Snorlax should easily be able to fit in." She quipped, raising the right side of her lip slightly. She wondered who invented the pokeball and how rich they were. They were probably swimming in cash at this moment, considering how important the pokeball has become.
Tanya laughed at Akihito's comment. "Hey, I still haven't perfected my Normal team yet. I have a lot of training to do as well." She shrugged her shoulders, relaxing into the seat that was in. She was sort of glad that Akihito seemed to regard her as a good competition. At least, that's what she assumed.
"Oh, I also got a Shiny Bisharp as well. That's a thing." Tanya remembered, letting the words casually flow out. "You think a tournament or something will come soon?"

He had noticed from the reaction that Tanya gave, the comment didn't go over well. Time to drift away from that subject Aki thought as he thought of where to take it. He didn't want to turn this conversation into a argument. Tanya could turn out as a friend if he said the right thing. "Yeah, Wailord are very massive Pokémon. This little ball is a wonder, would love to know how it works. He had always wanted to know exactly how a Pokeball worked. He was afraid to take one apart because he didn't want to ruin a ball.
"Yeah, I just caught a Gible. She needs a lot of work, so dose most of my Pokemon. But I have faith in them that they can do it." Akihito said holding his Mudkip. He hadn't seen a battle yet but he will and Aki was sure he would be spectacular. Then the conversation shifted to a topic about what the next big event would be. He had no idea but knowing gbd tournament loving Headmaster would be something like that. But then again he had never met the man. "I'm not sure, never know what's going to happen here..." He trailed off as he started to think about his date with Alice. It was true anything could happen. And something did happen he had a date with a girl and he probably blew it with her. He was so deep in thought about the date it was as if he was in a trance.

Tanya nodded her head, voicing her silent agreement with Akihito's proposition. Pokemon needed time to get good, that much was obvious. Even with her strong acquisitions like Gundamu, there was still a learning curve towards learning how to use them and tailoring movesets to what suited them the most. In the end though, Tanya knew that her hard work would pay off. Hopefully, Aki's would as well.
"I guess you have a point." Tanya said thoughtfully, recognizing the supposed randomness of the academy. Events seemed to come and go, with her wondering how planned everything was here. Tanya wouldn't be completely surprised if it turned out that the Team Origin stint was some extremely elaborate prank. One that ended pretty badly, but still.
"This is some academy, huh?" Tanya stated, a little smile playing on her lips. "Like it's pretty unique with methods and subjects etc. You sorta have to wonder why this wasn't thought up of before or maybe I'm just like missing something."
