Aki really didn't spend much time in his room. The only time he was in it was when he's sleeping or talking to his parents. Though for some reason he just felt like hanging out in his dorm. Drago the Fraxure was playing with Jeffrey the baby Mudkip. The window was open and Penelope the Fletchling was sitting on the window seal enjoying the nice breeze. Every so often she would fly off and the come back. Abigale the Absol had taken up a spot next to his bed on the floor wearing her new Mega Stone in the necklace around her neck. And Aki was sporting his fingerless glove that held the key stone.
Abigale was sound asleep, she was becoming very protective of Aki. Ophelia the Espurr was laying next to him on the bed as he read his notes on the last breeding class. He enjoyed having himself surrounded by Pokémon, that was how he grew up with his mother a breeder. He at one point thought he wanted to be a breeder, but the draw go become a Dragon Tamer got too great. Reaching over he petted Ophelia and she purred. There was one other member that was scurrying about and that was his Gible. Petunia was sitting on the other bed watching Drago and Jeffrey sit and play. She was the latest addition to the team and she was not quite familiar with the family.

It was just a lazy Saturday, and Robin felt like going somewhere outside of his room. His pair of starter Pokémon were delightful enough, and he was very much enjoying getting to know them, but the walls were starting to feel a bit closed-in.
All at once, he resolved to go somewhere, and moved abruptly towards the door. Star chirruped a question from the bed; Robin couldn't understand exactly what the Fletchling meant to say, but he had a shrewd guess. "You can stay here or come with me," he told the little bird, "but I'm going out."
Star stayed where he was, so Robin shrugged and held the door for his Fennekin. He and Morning had quickly become inseparable, so it was a given that the little fire-fox would be following him.
The boy and his fox were going to go exploring, starting with their own dorm. They wandered down the hall, and paused before a door that was open. Robin knew better than to enter someone else's room without permission, but Morning apparently hadn't. The Fennekin nosed his way in curiously.
"Hey, Morning--hey! That's not our room! Come back here!"
Robin stayed in the doorway, unwilling to enter. Morning had wandered into a room filled with Pokémon, many of them large and tough-looking. There was an older boy inside, who was reading. I hope he's friendly, Robin thought nervously, trying not to let it show that he was uncomfortable with the situation.

While sitting on his bed he head a noise coming from the hall. He didn't pay any attention to it until he heard a voice call out go something. It was a younger voice and he sounded unsure of himself. Looking up from his laptop along with his Absol. She looked at the young boy who stood in the door way calling out to the Fennekin. "Its alright Abigale, go back to sleep" The Absol huffed laying her head back down. Jeffrey the Mudkip hopped over to the Fennekin and tried to get it to play with him. Drago walked over and pulled the Mudkip back. "Don't worry, they're all nice. Abigale is just very protective."
Closing his laptop he scooted off his bed and stood up. "Can I help you with something. Names Akihito, by the way." Aki said placing his hand on his Fraxure. Drago was now not paying attention to Jeffrey and the Mudkip was trying to get the fire fox to play. Penelope heard her trainer talking and flew over landing on his shoulder to see what was going on. Petunia just kept her distance wondering what was going on.

Robin was not sure what to do. This was his first time meeting a new person here, and he was torn as to how to behave.
The guy whose room Morning had invaded was obviously older than Robin. The younger boy's first impression of the older was that he seemed pretty affable, certainly not hostile. The Pokémon all over the room seemed to be pretty happy; a little Mudkip had even chosen to engage Morning in a game, which the unabashed little creature happily joined in. Robin sighed inwardly: it was highly unlikely that he would be able to convince Morning to leave anytime soon if the Fennekin was determined to stay and play, so he might as well make conversation.
"I'm Robin," he introduced himself, "and that little fireball there is Morning. Didn't mean to intrude, but Morning doesn't understand what doors mean yet..."

It was very obvious that the boy was unsure how to act. Akihito smiled to see if the boy would calm down. It had seemed that Jeffrey and the Fennekin named Morning were getting along nicely playing on the floor. Drago the Fraxure gave up and joining Petunia the Gible on the other bed. The two dragons sat there talking to each other in a very low tone. Aki ccould barely hear them, he could understand what Drago was saying. But he hadn't got to know his Gible to understand her yet. But over time he would. "Its great to meet you Robin. And don't worry about it, happy to meet a fellow Lava student." Aki said sitting back down on the bed. This time Abigale the Absol sat up the sun catching on her Mega Stone. She placed her head in his lap and he stroked her head.
"This is Abigale, the Espurr is Ophelia, that's Jeffrey the Mudkip, my Fraxures name is Drago." He paused waiting for Robin to catch up, then continued. "The Gible is Petunia..." He stopped again seeing that his Fletchling was not in the window. "I have a Fletchling, but seems she's out stretchjng her wings for a moment." He said chuckling a little and he continued to pet Abigale. "I have others but some are too bit to fit in the room." Just then Penelope the Fletchling flew in landing on his desk. "And meet Penelope" Aki said pointing at the Fletchling. "Now that introductions are out of the way. How are you liking the Academy so far? He asked scooting back in his bed leaning against the wall. Ophelia got up and laid in his lap, while Abigale laid back down in the floor.

Robin's initial impression seemed to be borne out, as the guy (Robin couldn't quite think of him as a boy, on account of how grown-up he looked) remained friendly and cheerfully introduced his array of Pokémon. There were so many of them, but they all seemed pretty content.
He couldn't help but smile as the Fletchling flew into the room. "I've got a Fletchling, too," he explained, "though Star didn't want to go exploring."
Akihito then asked Robin how he was liking the Academy. The young redhead shrugged, not wanting to show the full extent of his delight. "It's pretty nice. I haven't been here long, but it's going well enough. How do you like it?"

He could still tell the boy was still a little tense. Though he was relaxing being around so many pokemon. Aki noticed he had smiled when Penelope flew in. Then he properly told Aki that he had a Fletchling named Star, but he wasn't up for exploring. "Just as they're many different types of pokemon. There just has many different personalities for each species. Take my Espurr, Ophelia. She is calm, affectionate and loves to be petted. But on the other hand my sisters Espurr is wild, full of energy and hate being touched by anyone other than my sister." Aki explained to the younger boy. He hadn't really asked for a explanation but it felt like the right thing to do. "Penelope, viens ici." He said in Kalosian. Penelope flew of over and landed on Akis knee. He stroked her head before flying off out the window. "Huh, oh well she'll be back."
Aki stopped and listen to Robin talk about what he thought of the Academy. When the boy was done he was asked the same question. "I loved it here, get to hang out with Pokémon. Participate in tournaments, and meet awesome people likeyourself." Aki ssaid knowing what he said about Robin being awesome was going to get the kid. "Yeah, came in second durning the last tournament. Was a little worried about the first round though. Was facing this girl named Annie, she had nothing but ice types. But my Darumaka at the time did remarkable. "

Akihito's Fletchling was so different from Robin's in personality, but it was equally cute. The explanation the older student gave about differences in Pokémon personalities didn't come as any surprise to him, but he listened anyway.
The offhand comment counting Robin in among "awesome people" definitely caught the boy by surprise. He wasn't sure how to react to that, so he tried to pretend he didn't notice.
Everything else really did fly out of Robin's head when Akihito mentioned the girl he had battled in the first round of the tournament. Robin had not spoken to his sister since their quarrel, and he had not been keeping up with her activities, but how many Ice-type Trainers named Annie could there possibly be at one school?
"A girl named... Annie? Did she have white hair, and maybe a scar on her face?" Those were the attributes that most people would find unique about Robin's sister. He wasn't sure what he would say if Akihito confirmed that it was really the same Annie, though he was trying to plan something reasonable that wouldn't come off too strange.

Aki thought back to the battle, closing his eyes trying to remember the girl. She was kind of cute, but he found most of the girls at the academy cute. Though to him Alice is the cutest of them all. "I don't recall her having a scar but I do remember the white hair. She's hard to explain, but she did take the loss quiet well. Or so it seemed, I was just shocked because that was my first win. He said then Aki started to wonder. Did this kid know her? This would be weird if the person that he won his first match against turns out to be a sister or something of this kids. "Why do you know her or something?" Aki asked with a uneasy feeling in his stomach. Ophelia had felt it and she started nudging Aki to comfort him. By this time Penelope had returned, she landed in the window seal and watched as a flock of Fletchcinder flew by.

Robin was quite certain that there couldn't possibly be two (let alone more) white-haired Ice-type Trainers with the same first name at the same school. That would just be ridiculous. Therefore, Akihito's opponent must have been Robin's sister.
The boy approved, in his own way, of the news that Annie had taken her loss gracefully. Even if he didn't really want to associate himself with her, he was glad to hear that her actions had been honorable.
"Do I know her? I used to know her better than anyone else in the world," Robin clarified bluntly. "We don't get along anymore, but no matter what her father says, she's still technically my sister."

Just great, I beat one in a battle and then I become friends with the other. Aki thought to himself. He had always wanted a little brother and Robinb had the potential to be a kin to that. But he would have to play it by ear. Aki didn't want to mess up something else like he had possibly messed up his chances with Alice. But that wasn't something to worry about now. "Well, it can't he that bad. Im sure she still cares about you, after all she is your sister." Aki said trying to cheer Robin up. Though he wouldn't know how he was feeling. He and his sister had always gotten along. Sure there was typical sibling squabbles but nothing major. Things actually got better when she went on her journey to be a pokemon trainer.

Robin shrugged and clarified, "I have no doubt she cares. The problem is that she shows it by giving me orders." It was clear from his tone that he didn't like being ordered around.
He gave the other student a measuring look. "You said you'd got a sister, too? What's she like?" It was a bit more subtle than he had been so far, but he hoped that this would change the subject well enough. He didn't really like to associate himself too prominently with Annie, for fear of being overshadowed by her again. And he was curious about what a slightly more normal sibling relationship would even look like.

Aki nodded agreeing with the Robin. He also looked around the room and saw all of his pokemon were content with Robin being in the room. Akihito looked back up at Robin when he asked about his sister. He hadn't seen his sister for almost a year. She was traveling around the different regions training to challenge the different leagues. He didn't think he would be able to do that like she has. "Me and my sister get along pretty well. I haven't seen her in almost a year. She is on a journey to challenge the various leagues." Aki said watching Robins Fennekin play with his Mudkip. The two seemed to be enjoying themselves. "You know you can sit down on the beanbag chair" He said pointing to the red beanbag sitting in the corner.

Robin smiled, rather nostalgic, at the thought of getting along with a sister. Even more surprising to him was the idea that Akihito could have gone for a year without seeing his sister and yet they still got along. Was that even possible? Of course, it must help to not be forbidden from contacting each other at all...
The redheaded boy followed Akihito's gaze to where their Pokémon were playing together and smiled at the sight. He liked seeing Morning making friends. It was cute.
The invitation to sit in the beanbag chair caught Robin slightly off guard. "Oh--uh, thanks," he said awkwardly. After a moment's hesitation, he made his way over to the beanbag and sat down.
It felt strange, just being here all of a sudden. This guy had invited him in. What was Robin to do about it? He couldn't think of anything to say.
