So here we were. Yet another place for Adriel to add to her "I would have never come here if I wasn't looking for wild Pokemon" list. Right up there with the inactive-but-still-dangerous volcano. While she liked her new Petilil, she had still hoped to maybe find a Pokemon whose Type she didn't have yet. This area seemed the most likely, but boy was she regretting that she came here. She could only assume that there must be a lot of Poison-type Pokemon in this area. Which wouldn't be so bad. Sure, her Roselia was part-Poison, but it was mostly Grass. She wanted something that was primarily Poison. Or a Bug-type. Either one.

Either way, while being very careful not to stray from the path build for safely traversing through the area, she wandered around, keeping an eye out for any Pokemon that looked like they might be worth catching. Hopefully, she'd find something soon; she's probably going to need about seven baths before she'll feel clean after being in this place.

As she looked around, she spotted a Yanma flying around. Admittedly, the creature seemed fairly interesting, and she did come out here to try and find a Bug-type. However, based on its large wings and how nimbly it was flying around, she could only assume that it was part Flying-type as well. She already had two of those in her team and, until she had more Pokemon, she wanted to avoid getting too many of the same type, in fear of ending up with an unbalanced team. Besides, usually, there was some sort of tick in the back of her mind. Something that told her "CATCH THIS POKEMON NOW!". That tick was not present at this moment, so she ignored the Yanma and moved on.

Adriel blinked. Was that a Poke Ball? Huh. She looked around, to see if anyone might have dropped it, and upon not seeing anyone, she frowned. There was always a chance that it could be empty, but she didn't quite know how to tell. Either way, it was a bit too far off of the path for her liking, so she sent out her Roselia to check it out. Being a Poison-type, she'd be less affected by the toxic water in the area. As such, both he and Adriel were understandably surprised when the seemingly-random Poke Ball turned out to be an actual Pokemon. Either way, they were a little too weirded out by it to do anything, so they continued onward.

Adriel blinked as she noticed the Venipede, another one she vaguely recognized from back home, and grinned. This was pretty much exactly what she was looking for. She had hoped for either a Poison or a Bug-type Pokemon, so why not one that's both Types? With a nod, she immediately sent out her Doduo, figuring he could use a bit of training. As opposed to her Magmar, who had just recently evolved from a Magby. Once the Doduo was ready for battle, she called out to him "Schizo! Attack the Venipede with Drill Peck!" Energy started to swirl around their beaks in a drill-like motion, then the two-headed bird charged forward, attempting to strike the Venipede with both their beaks.

The attack was quite effective, but the Venipede managed to hold on. Curling itself up, it began rolling rapidly, slamming into the Doduo to inflict a decent amount of damage. It continued to roll even after, indicating to Adriel that this move was, in fact, Rollout. This could be bad, so she had to end it quickly. "Quick! One more Drill Peck!" The two-headed bird nodded, attacking with the Flying-type move a second time. This time, the damage was too great for the Venipede, who immediately collapsed after the attack landed. With a nod, Adriel grabbed an empty Academy Ball and tossed it at the Venipede.
