Robin and his Pokémon had some more free time after their berrying expedition, and the boy didn't really want to leave the forest just yet. After all, this was the first time in his memory that he had ever been in one. It was pleasantly warm, but the sun was not too bright because the trees filtered it enough. The ground was covered in brush, which Morning seemed happy to investigate.
The meandering path Robin and Morning picked didn't seem to be taking them anywhere in particular. (Star did not contribute to the choice of path; he was seated on Robin's shoulder and it seemed sufficient approval that he did not fly away.) It felt good, to be walking in the forest.
{Preferred spawns: Bulbasaur, Chikorita, Ralts, Treecko, Snivy, Eevee, Budew, Turtwig, Deerling... heck, pretty much any Grass-type is good.)

Morning jumped a little when a plant he was inspecting got up, proving to be an Oddish. Robin flinched, caught off-guard by the sudden movement, but then realized what was going on. It was just a wild Pokémon, and not really a very impressive one either. The Oddish was kind of cute, but Robin had heard rumors that its evolution smelled really bad. He didn't need his team to stink.
The little blue Grass-type scampered off, and Robin didn't even bother to watch it go. "Let's see what else we can meet," he suggested to his Pokémon, and they continued along the road.

Something jumped out of the bushes. It was a creepy pink fleshy color, and it was made of eggs. It looked grumpy, though that might have just been how its face was made. Even once he had collected himself after the jump-scare, Robin genuinely didn't know what to make of it, so he grabbed his Pokédex to check it out.
"Exeggcute, huh?" he mumbled to himself. "Sounds as tough as it looks."
It was Grass/Psychic, which to his understanding ought to be useful to him in a practical sense, and it looked like the sort of Pokémon he might want to have. Perfect, then: all he needed to do now was catch it.
"Get in there, Morning! Get it with Fire Blast!"
Morning obediently leapt forward to intercept the Exeggcute, letting loose a terrific blast of flames and heat. Robin flinched away, and Star took off from his shoulder to perch temporarily in a nearby tree. When the fire faded away, the Exeggcute was clearly out cold.
Robin tossed an Academy Ball at it, hoping for an uneventful first catch.

Success! You caught the wild Exeggcute! Feel free to add it to your PC and remove any items you used (including your ball) from your inventory.
