Personality: The positives. Elijah is an upbeat, happy, helpful and eager young man. Elijah loves life and enjoys the opportunities it presents. As an upbeat and happy kind of guy, Elijah warmly embraces anyone whom he meets. Rarely will anyone initially start off with his disfavour. He enjoys helping others as well, when he can, and even when he can't, his confidence often tells him he probably could. While not eager to do any school, he is eager to try new things and learn them, which can be seen from his slightly-better-than-average violin playing (though, he has only been playing a very short while).
The negatives. Elijah is a head-strong, over-confident, lazy without much of a good work ethic to things that don't interest him. Given a task that Elijah knows well, he often puts himself in contrast to the other preforming the same task, thinking himself more capable than them. He'll often rush into a situation without thinking, relying on instinct alone. Unless motivated by his own want and need, you can bet that he's not going to put much to any effort into a task, especially school.
Elijah is a teenager however, and his upbeat happiness, as well as his lazy demeanor will probably fad in time. When was the last time you saw an adult smile, afterall?

History: Elijah grew up in the large city of Caselia City in Unova. His mother was a cellist for the cities Symphony while his father was a stay-at-home man, raising the only child while his mother brought in the money. As such, Elijah rarely had to work for what he had, since his mother made a great deal of money with her job and his dad was constantly home to keep it all tidy. His parents did however make him work harder with schooling at a younger age, as the young boy took an interest in photography and the violin. Do well in school, and he'd be allowed both. And he did do well. Well enough at least.
Not pushing himself quite far enough, he had irked by just enough to be rewarded. And this seemed to be a trend with the boy. Taking blame themselves for raising him in such a way, his parents figured that their baby-ing of him made him not wish to achieve, although, his progress with the violin and camera work would say otherwise. Working hard on those two aspects, Elijah again faltered in school slightly, as his attention was completely elsewhere.
After a couple of years of this, his parents decided the best way for Elijah to stop thinking life would be handed to him would be to put him somewhere out of his comfort zne. An island in the middle of seemingly nowhere. And with that, they signed up and shipped out their son to Gray Garden Academy.
