Trees Can Be Bodyguards Too [Amanda]

She did not visit the Commons often, but there was usually some sort of crowd that attracted teenagers. Possibly the only spot where the noise level was sort of loud for her standards, but there would be some spots where she could relax. The Trevenant walked beside her and as fast as his spindly legs could carry him. Today, he was to be the role of protector for his trainer and for that, he seemed to be taking his job well. Actually, the idea was kind of outdated for modern society, but to him, it was enjoyable for the living tree to do so. And thankfully, there was an empty rest area and with that, she sat down at a chair and read a ghost story to the living tree where he was content to listen to her speak. She actually felt like she had a special connection with Lucius this time, but he was still fairly new to his surroundings and he did used to belong to another trainer. Still, he was happy to assume his role to the fullest.

''Now remember, you need to wear this suit, it's important that a bodyguard like yourself looks the part!''
The Hariyama, despite being a Pokemon: made his discontent with the situation very evident, rolling his eyes in frustration at the circumstances before him. When he had become a Pokemon Bodyguard for Amanda, he did so out of loyalty, and a desire to protect his trainer from harm.
He did not do it so he could wear a goofy suit.
Unfortunately, for him: the blonde Kalosian had ideas of her own, and after seeing an advert for Pokemon clothing, had opted to purchase a tidy sums worth for her entire team. The Kirlia got a dress, the Snorlax got a fancy hat. Hariyama got something itchy and ill-fitting.
For the thirteenth time, that day: the Pokemon scratched his chest, only serving to irritate himself further with the rough fabric. Pokemon like him weren't meant to wear suits, it was unnatural, even if Amanda felt it was necessary for a bodyguard.
Pokemon and trainer were both moving through the hallway near the commons, while the Pokemon was very uncomfortable, Amanda seemed to be far more cheerful. Likely more than she had been in weeks, which was fortunate, seeing as how her emotional state got worse and worse each day. To the Hariyama, he felt as if the manic desire to cram him and his fellow Pokemon into terrible clothes, was just another sign of her growing insanity.
As the two entered the commons, both Amanda and Fisto noticed another duo occupying the room. The shiny relaxed as he recognized the trainer: Alice. She had proven to be a decent person, he wouldn't need to smoosh her. Amanda, however: was less interested in potential smooshings, as she waved at the other girl.
''Salut, Alice! Comment ça va?'' Amanda greeted, cheerfully.

And she was greeted by a familiar sight, well actually two familiar people. The Hariyama looked a little silly with a business outfit, but sometimes that was what bodyguards usually wore. Except that he seemed to be dissatisfied with what he was wearing. "Hello Amanda. I'm good, thanks. How have things been?" The Trevenant looked up at the Hariyama and relaxed, seeing as a big Pokemon was not really something he should dealing with right now. Due to Fisto's size, he might be crushed by the bigger Pokemon's weight. Either way, it seemed as if she hadn't seen Amanda in weeks or in some classes. Possibly because she was quite busy during those past few weeks and the contest club was moving a lot slower than usual. Speaking of which, she hadn't seen Tanya lately and that meant it had to be concerning for the club president to just disappear all of a sudden.

Amanda smiled, leaving her Hariyama to stare down the other Pokemon. The Shiny seemed very uncomfortable being in the presence of anyone else while wearing the suit, drawing a bit of silent ire from his trainer.
''I'm alright... trying to get my servant used to his new Uniform, as you can see, Fisto isn't particularly happy about it.'' Amanda replied softly, sighing. Her face taking on a more serious expression, the girl tilted her head, eyeing the Pokemon beside her. ''I really don't know why he doesn't seem to care for the suit, it's a very good suit for Pokemon. Besides, a bodyguard should look the part, shouldn't he?''
All the while, the Hariyama had taken to inspecting the strange tree-creature before him. It seemed harmless enough, at least under the ownership of Alice. Yet, there was something inherently wrong underlying it all, something the Fighting type didn't care for.
It was part ghost, he hated ghosts. The eyes of the Hariyama narrowed, showcasing his obvious distaste.

"I do think he should look the part. Although, Fisto looks rather irritated about it." She could sense the Hariyama's agitation at wearing a suit when clearly, Hariyama were supposed to be bare. Amanda could try forcing him to wear that suit, but that would only cause some rebellion. Despite that, the large Pokemon could use a bit more fabulous accessories to his suit. She did have to sew more outfits for some of her Pokemon as contests sometimes had costume portions where coordinators show off their Pokemon dressed in costumes. And the Trevenant was a bit confused as to why the Hariyama was obviously distasteful of his company for some reason. And of course, it was always the Fighting types that hated ghosts because they couldn't hit something that they can't see. Yep, there was no doubt that the living tree would have to convince Fisto that he meant no harm to him.

Ignoring the trainers, the Shiny continued to stare down the Trevenant, sparkling in annoyance. For the Hariyama, first being forced into an ill-fitting suit, and now forced to interact with a ghost of all things. It was not a good day.
His trainer sighed at the behavior, prodding the Pokemon briskly. Amanda had no desire for yet another of her Pokemon to start acting out, much less the one she actually relied upon to keep the others in check. The girl let out a sigh of exhaustion, rather worried at the rate things seemed to keep falling apart for her as of late.
''Mais oui, I don't know why, it's quite the fetching outfit, would you not agree, Alice?''

"It is certainly a handsome outfit for Fisto, I can tell you that." And the Hariyama just ignored their conversation and went straight to glaring at the Trevenant. It was not a good day for the giant sumo wrestler, but maybe a little interaction with a ghost wasn't a good idea at all. Even so, Lucius had insisted that he had to get out more in order to keep on protecting her. "I think you should try to force him to wear that outfit even I don't think it's ethical to do so." Lucius stared at the Hariyama back, trying to ward off whatever negative feelings Fisto had felt about him. It was obvious that the Hariyama really disliked ghosts for some reason and the living tree held back the urge to growl in irritation. Intimidating looks are not something that could faze a Hariyama, but it was worth a try anyway.

''Perhaps it's the materials... maybe the suit is too rough, perhaps Shiny Pokemon have different needs in clothing? What else could it be...'' Amanda brought her hand to her chin, thoughtfully gazing into the distance as she attempted to understand why her Pokemon disliked his suit. The idea that one might simply not like it: being lost on her.
The Shiny, meanwhile: continued to lean closer and closer to the Trevenant, uncaring for any of it's looks. It didn't seem to be willingly backing off, yet: neither was the Fighter. With an intimidating growl, Fisto crossed his arms, making himself look bigger than the glorified Christmas tree.

"Maybe he needs more dashing accessories to spice up his suit? That could be a good idea." While the two girls kept right on talking, Lucius glared back with a menacing stare at the Hariyama, completely aware that Fisto was probably trying to stare him down. Once again, the Hariyama was just being impolite for the reason that he understood completely. Well, that was okay for him anyway as he had thought of the Hariyama as a unfriendly rival of some sort. The two were not off to a good start and it felt like Lucius was going to have to punch the heck out of that sumo fighter, but he didn't do it. It actually didn't matter unless Fisto provoked him first and then that fight would turn ugly for the both of them. For now, he would just have to continue staring menacingly as he could.

Amanda nodded, taking into consideration the suggestion. It seemed like it would be something that was worthwhile to try. Even in the worst possibly situation, it wouldn't do any more damage than it had already seemingly done.
''Thank you for the suggestion, I'll try it when I can.'' Amanda replied.
She frowned, prodding the Pokemon in annoyance as she saw him still staring down the Trevenant. She recognized the look, and Amanda most certainly did not care to have an instance of violence in the commons.
The Kalosian sighed. ''Would you care to offer any suggestions?'' She queried, wondering if the other girl had any actual ideas, or was simply offering general advice.

"Perhaps, Fisto would need to be used to his suit in order for him to like it." Needless to say, it was kind of hard to come up with new suggestions, considering that a large Pokemon like Fisto would not like the suit. She was aware of Lucius trying to stare down at Fisto, though the Hariyama's large size might intimidate the glorified tree, but he was in no way scared of the imposing Pokemon. Even so, the Trevenant glared back, intent on not backing down until the other had decided to do so on his own term or both of their trainers stop them from having an ugly fight. She became worried that they might start fighting in the commons, something that no one had seen everyday, but it was concerning. In actuality, she was quite oblivious to Fisto's dislike of ghosts until she had seen them do a fierce staring contest with one another.

''Perhaps...''
Amanda frowned, taking a deep breath as she withdrew her Pokeball, recalling the large Shiny. As much as she would have wanted to keep her Pokemon present: a fight was close to brewing, and she was not about to risk failing to rein in her Hariyama.
The ball shook angrily, visible of Fistos displeasure. Sighing, Amanda merely dropped the ball in her purse, taking a seat in a nearby chair. Sometimes, she felt as if all of this behavior her Pokemon demonstrated: it was very tiring.
''I must apologize for the behavior of my bodyguard. He doesn't do very well with Ghost Pokemon, bad experience with one of mine, unfortunately.'' Amanda explained.

Lucius was surprised when Fisto was immediately returned back inside his Pokeball and he had no idea why Fisto was angry at him. That is, until she heard why Fisto had an extreme dislike to Ghost type Pokemon in general. Maybe she should've brought something that was not a ghost, but it was probably too late to actually fix the damage now. The Hariyama wasn't usually angry like this, but it was probably because Lucius was part ghost and all of her Pokemon were either of a different type or part of the Ghost types. Needless to say, Amanda was visibly tired of the behavior of her Hariyama. "I can probably understand that. A bad experience with ghosts may be quite traumatizing since their main shtick is to be mischievous as much as possible. He might have believed that Lucius may be malicious or something." Maybe that was the clear explanation that Fisto might have assumed that the Trevenant had evil intent.

Amanda smirked tiredly, producing a Pokeball from her purse. ''You have no idea, mademoiselle...'' she sighed: idly tossing the ball to release her own ghost Pokemon: Alfred.
The Duskull tilted his skull from side to side: idly staring at the contents of the room with his single glowing eye, his skull-face smiling maliciously.
''Mistress Dupomme, I see you have thought it fit to show me off to yet another one of your friends. My-my, you must be proud of little ol' me...'' The Duskull leered at Alice, staring at her. ''Upupupu... shame they are all so ugly...''
Amanda waved her hand tiredly, showcasing the behavior of the Ghost. ''As you can see, it's not exactly something I would blame Fisto for. Alfred is not a well behaved Pokemon...''

Minutes later, Amanda released a ghost with a skull mask on and it scanned the contents of the room before resting its eyes on her. The Duskull seemed to be leering at her somewhat which often told her that this particular Duskull was not a very nice ghost to be around with. Lucius seemed to be angry with the Duskull as he was glaring at it for making such a rude insult towards his trainer. "Alfred must not be behaving well to actually get this kind of reaction from Fisto." No wonder the Duskull was not around anyone that might want to see him or not. In actuality, if she had sent more of her ghosts, they would've probably tried to threaten the Duskull for calling them ugly. Oh yes, Alfred was a real jerk to have caused all that harassment for both Fisto and Amanda.
