There Will Be Dragons [Team 2]

Karin slid off of Toyotama's back once she hit solid ground again, and took a moment to stretch. "Ahh, nothing like charging up a waterfall to start off a trip," she said. She turned back to the students accompanying her, checking to make sure they were all alright and ready to offer help if they needed it to get back on dry land. One of the advantages of having such a large Pokemon as her Milotic to carry her across and up bodies of water was that she could provide that benefit to others as well, which she'd offered to anyone who needed it for this little field trip. Once she was satisfied that everyone was ready to press on, she addressed the three students with her. "Right, I guess it's about time to get started here. I have faith in all of your battling abilities, but just in case, if you need to leave for any reason, Toyotama here can ferry you back out of the cave and down the waterfall." She gestured to her Milotic, who bowed her head in response.
"As you've no doubt heard, our task here, our quest if you want to call it such, is to search for Pokemon that aren't native to these caves. I know that doesn't sound like much, but knowing the Headmaster, I'm sure he has something special planned." To say nothing of Cassandra's uneasiness, but that was an issue she'd deal with when the time came. If they were to end up going up against a wild Metagross or something, she'd be ready for it. Anything worse, well, that's why Toyotama was there and ready to carry anyone back if they needed it. "Now, unless there are any questions, let's be on our way." The eagerness in Karin's voice would be apparent to just about anyone.

With the help of Ms. Norling's Milotic, she was ferried across from the waterfall to dry land where she came across a familiar place. She had been here before with her Pokemon before and it brought back some memories worth keeping. Well, some of them had been disappointing, but she was sure that they were here to see anything that didn't belong to this area. Maybe some strange Pokemon that she hadn't seen in the cavern didn't belong here, so her Pokemon might need to keep their guard up. With a click, she released the green serpent that she had bonded well with and also a makeshift bodyguard just in case if Lucius was not present to protect her from harm. Claude turned around to make sure that no wild Pokemon were attacking them at the moment before relaxing. There was no turning back once the team made their move, but it did make her feel a little uneasy due to a potential disadvantage against some types that would defeat her Serperior easily.

Amanda patted her Swampert proudly, thankful that the large Water-Type had kept speed with the Miltoic. Indeed, initially her fears of being left behind, coupled with the poor experience she had last time Muddy practically soaked her: made the Miltoic ride seem awfully tempting.
However, Amanda gave her Pokemon the benefit of a doubt, and to her hopes: she had gotten significantly less wet than the first time around. If anything, she was proud of her Pokemon that very moment. ''Keep doing well, Muddy!'' Amanda praised, recalling her Pokemon. ''Keep at it, you will be a swift swimmer soon enough.''
A content sigh, the blonde turned her attention to her teacher, listening carefully to the outline of the task. Although she had never personally met the headmaster, it felt to her like people considered him to be un perturbateur sournois, so to speak.
With the floor raised for questions, Amanda gracefully raised her hand. ''Excusez-moi, but I have a question. You say that the Pokemon will be not native to these areas, are they tamed Pokemon with orders, or are they wild Pokemon themselves? What I mean to say is, are we allowed to capture anything?''
Amanda felt it was a good question to pose. Perhaps it was simply a hunch, but she felt like any planted Pokemon would not be particularly happy at being drawn from it's normal habitat. To survive in such a violent area at that: whatever would be migrated would need to be a particularly powerful breed indeed.

If there was one thing Cameron hated, it was being helped. More accurately, it was being forced to accept the help of others. Especially that of a staff member he didn’t really know, much less cared for, seeing that she headed the Mana Dorm. A bunch of scrawny kids if you’d ask him, they all needed to eat a sandwich and workout or they’d just get pushed over. He would keep his complaints to himself though, for once he was finally up the water fall, and he didn’t hesitate to get of the water Pokémon’s body. The warden then told them of, what seemed like a last resort. Running away? Now that’s the coward’s way out. He agreed to the conditions of their headmaster’s game and he would make damn sure to get it done. Still, he couldn’t help but notice. “Well, seeyin’ as you had to go an’ tell us about a last resort, I’m guessing that this might get a little wily.” He chuckled. Smacking his fist into his other hand, eager for the challenge. “Nah, I don’t think I’m running away from this one Warden.” He replied. He couldn’t possibly lose to some wild pokemon or second rate trainer the Headmaster hired.
He listened to Amanda question the Mana Warden on the circumstances. “Well, if the pokemon ain’t from ‘round here that means the Headmaster musta’ got someone to put it here.” Cameron shrugged. ‘Sides, we aren’t here to catch anything. Just turn it in to the Headmaster, yeah?” he answered. He knew the question was directed at the warden but might as well give his input. “I mean c’mon, this was asked of the Headmaster himself right? Who knows what the reward for this is gonna be. Man, it’d be awesome if he souped up the gym, some new equipment would be a dream come true.” He mused. Eager to get started and find out what the Headmaster had in store with them, Cameron was aching to get a move on. "Well warden, lead the way."

As the group continued through the cave, the sounds of a a man and a woman speaking could be heard, getting louder the further they went in. Either At first, it was hard to make out, but their words became clearer as you got closer. Either way it was clear that you weren't the only ones here. "This is more trouble than its work. Damn thing just about bit my head off." "No kidding. It'll come when we call it, but the stupid thing won't listen to anything we say. I don't get paid enough for this shit." As you arrive in a large opening within the caves, you see the man and woman.
Both of them would look quite familiar to anyone who went on the mission in Mavro, as they were wearing the exact same uniforms as the group who attacked the city. The woman was the first to notice the group. "Shit! I thought you said no one would come here!" Meanwhile, the man let out a sigh, grabbing a remote of some sort and pressing a switch. "Whatever. Well let that thing take care of it. We finished what we came for anyway." The two of them nodded and, before either the Warden or any of the students could do anything, proceeded to throw a smoke bomb. Once it cleared, they would be gone, having taken the chance to flee
But that wasn't the worst of their problems. A loud hiss filled the room and soon a large Pokemon suddenly appeared from underground.
Legendary encounter! Zygarde has appeared!Ability: Aura Breaker
On its face a look of both sheer pain and intense rage. The two people who were here had done something to it, and it was pissed. With a loud roar, it set its sights on the group, and showed no signs of letting them go. If they wanted to get out of here, they'd have to go through this Pokemon.
(Each trainer may only have one Pokemon out at a time. Good luck~)

Karin shook her head at the water dorm girl's question. "I wouldn't count on it. I suppose if it's wild Pokemon we're running into you could try, but I got the feeling that this was something pre-planned. If that's true, then...actually, hold that thought." Karin shut up, just in time to hear voices. She gestured for the group to follow, quietly, and continued slowly into the caverns of the Dragon's Den. Soon, the voices got clear enough that it was pretty obvious what they were talking about. At first, one could have suspected that they'd been hired to put something in the caves for their little group to find. But that belief was dispelled the moment they came into view.
Oh, look, it was Team Origin. What a surprise.
They panicked, pressed a button, and fled with the use of a smoke ball before Karin could do anything to stop them. But that was the least of their troubles, as soon after a hiss sounded through the cave, and a massive Pokemon appeared through the clearing smoke. "Oh...shit," Karin said, reaching for a Pokeball. She recognized this thing from old illustrations she'd seen during a trip to Kalos, but this was her first time seeing it in person. Its sheer presence was lite something Karin had only felt once or twice in her life. The image of a golden-clad draconic creature came to mind, with wings like black shadowy claws. This had to be something on the same level.
A name rose up from her memory of the illustrations, and she spoke it out loud. "Zygarde." She looked the creature in the eyes. "I got that right, didn't I? ...Well, it doesn't seem like you're in much state to answer anyway. I don't know what those assholes did to you, but I guess it's up to us to knock some sense into you. ...Or at least fight until we can get away, that's probably more sensible. Okay, you three." She tossed out the Pokeball she'd reached for, sending out her Froslass, Aya. "I don't think I have to tell you that this is a dragon. That said, I couldn't tell you what all it's capable of, so be on your guard at all times. We're in pretty close-quarters here, so I don't recommend using more than one Pokemon at a time. We're about to have a hell of a time, so I hope you're all ready.
Karin turned her attention back to the monstrous subterranean creature. "Aya, use Hail!" she called out. The Froslass crossed both of her hands in front of her face, then spread them wide. Freezing winds blew threw the cave, bringing chunks of ice with them. Anything that wasn't an ice type itself itself would get pelted by the hailstones, but Aya was able to use the sudden snowstorm to mask her presence. And, so long as Aya survived long enough to act, it would give her a decisive advantage against Zygarde.
Actions: Sent out Aya the Froslass Froslass used Hail! Weather turns to Hail for eight turns.

Amanda nodded thoughtfully, still contemplating whether or not the Pokemon they might encounter would be possible to capture. She followed the group as they walked through the tunnels, lost in thought until the very moment they spotted Team Origin. As she lay eyes upon the terrorists, it was all Amanda could do to avoid flying into a rage: instantly releasing her Hariyama, and preparing to dispense the proper punishment. Yet, just before she could order her battle-ready Shiny to attack, the duo vanished in a cloud of smoke! ''Cowards!'' Amanda screamed, nails digging into her palm as she waved away the smoke, coughing lightly. They wouldn't even stand and fight, clearly another mark of the terrible people they were. It was at that moment, that the blond lay eyes upon the Pokemon that emerged. Anger turned to terror, as she recognized the Pokemon immediately. Her mind flashing back to but a few days ago, when she had been casually discussing history with Seria. It had been a discussion of their interests, and the combination had lead to a talk on Kalosian legendaries, in particular, Xerneas, Ylvetal, and... ''Zygarde...'' Amanda whispered, her face pale. She had no idea what that sort of Pokemon would be doing anywhere on that side of the planet, let alone in the exact cave she was in. The girl rummaged through her thoughts, frantically trying to piece together any information she had on the legends, if this was truly one of the Pokemon of legends, nothing any of them could do would spare them a painful death. The Hariyama, meanwhile: cracked his knuckles, sizing up the new competition. Whatever the strange Pokemon was, it had a powerful aura, powerful enough that it was near overwhelming, as if the sheer will of the Pokemon could negate those of others. Fisto knew, that he needed to punch it. He wouldn't be the first, as one of the other Pokemon had already started attacking. Yet, the artificial hail in the cave didn't bother the Fighter, he simply ignored the light damage. Finally, Amanda snapped from her minor freak-out, producing her Pokedex. ' 'Be careful Fisto...'' she warned, half-halfheartedly. ''If the legends are true, this Pokemon makes its home in caverns, we are fighting things on it's terms, not ours...''She browsed the moves on her device, considering. Both her knowledge and the teacher seemed to point towards the Legendary having a dragon-type, possibly rock or ground as a secondary. To something like, the best move would indeed be... ''Fisto, use Ice Punch!'' Amanda ordered. Nodding, the Pokemon clenched his fist, glacial energy coursing through the thick flesh, chilling the air around it. With a roar, the Hariyama lunged towards the green monster, aiming his fist right for it's head.

Pretty soon after the two people had left, a loud hissing sound was heard and a huge green and black snake-like Pokemon had come out of the ground. She wasn't sure what kind of Pokemon it was, but it looked pretty powerful. Nonetheless, she would have to get past the menacing snake. Upon closer inspection, it appeared that the snake was actually a Zygarde. Pretty sure she wouldn't catch it just for the sake of bragging rights since it was under the control of some Team Origin grunts, so the team would have to keep their guard up. The Mana Warden had already sent out a Froslass and put up a hailstorm. The green serpent glared at the legendary snake before waiting silently for his order. "Let's start with Dragon Tail, Claude!" The Serperior's tail glowed light blue as he slammed it on the Zygarde since the attack would most likely do some damage. One of the hailstone chunks hit him and he cringed slightly. And the Zygarde looked like it was in pain in which she sympathized with it. She did not want to see the Zygarde hurt, but they would have to break it out of its mind control first.

Huh, so these guys didn’t up and disappear at all did they? He didn’t really expect for them to be here, and it seems they didn’t expect to see his team either. “So, when do we start knocking hea-“ he stopped. A loud hissing could be heard coming their way. Those damn bastards pissed something off, and whatever it was, it was big. “Oh shit!” he cursed allowed, the serpentine legendary glaring the group down, its sole cause. “Damn, now this. This is gonna be a fun one. Here I was thinking we’d be hunting those goons down, but this shit, nah, this is perfect for building up some rep!” Usually he’d mind his tongue but he knew no one was going to scold him for his language considering the situation.
He cracked his knuckles in anticipation. Even he knew about legendaries. Sometimes they bordered on fairy tale pokemon and caused his disbelief. Not anymore, he was staring at living, breathing proof and the fact of the matter is, he couldn’t be any more excited to have the chance to knock the ever loving stuffing out of one. “Alright Bicy, lets get this going!” he rorared, sending the hulking Conkeldurr out from her pokeball. She dropped her concrete and cracked her knuckles at the challenge. “Right Bicy, punch it with a Hammer Arm!” He cried. The Conkeldurr, running towards her target, slamming her heavy fist on the Zygarde’s body.
Usually, he was concentrated on the battle. Not now, there was so much on his mind, not in fear of the legend, but in the reward for defeating such a creature. “No doubt I’ll be the talk of the town after Ma and Pa hear ‘bout this.” He accidentally said allowed. Snickering like a young boy he looked back at the battle, an over confident smile plastered over his face. “C’mon Bicy, les keep at it girl!” he cheered. 1-9 attack connects YqL9Jz_j1-10

The Zygarde was assaulted by a barrage of attacks that probably would have instantly taken down most normal Pokemon. However, this was a legendary Pokemon. They were anything but normal. Not to mention that this one in particular was incredibly pissed off, so there was that too. Either way, it let out a loud roar, before slamming it's body into the ground and creating a huge, earth-rending shockwave that shook the entire area. The Pokemon wasn't done yet, though. Since he had done the most damage, the Zygarde set its sights on Amanda's Hariyama. A massive orb of energy was formed at the tip of where it's head, then launched at the Fighting-type.
Summary - Zygarde used Earthquake! - Zygarde then used Dragon Pulse on Amanda's Hariyama.
(note: as you have just witnessed, yes; Zygarde is capable of attacking twice per turn, but there's a fairly low chance of it actually happening. As it turns out, the RNG kinda hates you guys right now)

It didn't surprise Karin that the attacks made on Zygarde, including an Ice Punch, didn't take it down. They did seem to do significant damage, at least, but who even knew how much punishment Zygarde could take. But, the good news at least was that she was already done setting up, and could join the fray herself now. Just so long as this thing didn't take down Aya first.
She braced herself as the earthquake hit. Aya was unable to dodge in time, and took the attack at full force. Despite its strength, however, the Froslass remained standing. And if she did, then the others probably had to. ...And then the thing attacked again, aiming for the Hariyama that had hit it with a freezing punch. "Switch out if you need to. There's no shame in having to call a few Pokemon back against something like this. Of course, if you're still good to go, don't let me stop you." She turned her attention back towards Zygarde. "Now, Aya, we didn't come here just to coach them. Blizzard!"
The Froslass took a bow, then spread her 'arms' wide once again. Now the freezing wind and hail picked up, but once it was past Aya, in range of her freezing breath, it got stirred up into a blizzard. For a moment, the cave in front of them was white with snow and snow-carrying winds as a storm raged within the confines of the cave.
Actions: Hail continues for 7 turns. Froslass used Blizzard! 110 BP + STAB Ice move (4x from weakness, 6x total modifier) off 80 Base Special Attack. 10% chance to Freeze.

Amanda frowned, struggling to see through all the dust and raining ice: shielding herself from the aftershocks of all the attacks. True to her fears, the Zygarde was far stronger than any normal Pokemon, taking four separate attacks and returning two of it's own. They wouldn't survive at this rate. The Hariyama, meanwhile: simply grinned, wiping grime from his shoulder as he stared down the opponent before him. Unfortunately for the Shiny, the Zygarde had identified him as the biggest threat, and slammed the brunt of it's retaliation into the Fighter. Although he sustained it all, there was little doubt from the visible bruising, that the Shiny would survive another onslaught like that. Fisto inspected the angered dragon, taking a moment to catch his breath as he searched for any sign of weakness. The creature wasn't seemingly in control of itself, and that bothered the Hariyama. Something was not right. The expression was not lost on his trainer, and Amanda studied her Pokemon with a worried expression. ''Fisto... maybe you should come back, I don't think you can han-'' A glare from the Pokemon cut her off, worrying Amanda even further. She understood her Pokemon would not leave, even if it meant being knocked out. Unwilling to force her Pokemon to do something he did not want, she relented against swapping him. ''Very well... use another Ice Punch!''The Hariyama ceased his grin, taking yet another swing at the legendary.

The Zygarde looked like it was pissed and roared, sending a shockwave under the ground, successfully hitting the green serpent as the earth shook. The Serperior couldn't take it and fell to the ground unconscious. "Good job, Claude. You can take a rest now." She returned the Serperior back inside his Academy Ball and took out a new one. "It's your turn, Noel." With another click, the Swinub was released and looked up at the huge black and green snake, somewhat intimidated by its large size. "Let's show this Zygarde with Ice Beam!" The brown pig wasted no time as he opened his mouth, forming a light blue sphere after which a light blue beam shot out and froze the Zygarde. Well, the snake wasn't really technically frozen until the status took effect, but it would've done some damage to it. It was surprising that Claude was able to go down even if he resisted the Earthquake, but sometimes legendaries were that powerful.

Cameron cracked his knuckles in anticipation of the legendary Pokemon's move. It seemed it was more afraid of Amanda's Hariyama more than any of the other Pokemon and while Earthquake was a powerful move, it was going to take more than the earth shaking to bring Bicy down. Cameron scoffed as he watched Alice's Serperior go down. Perhaps it was weakened, maybe it had just taken a critical hit or some hidden weak point that all Serperior had that an Earthquake could easily exploit. Whatever the reason, Cameron just couldn't help but voice his opinion. "Hey, I'm not sure what happened there but ya gotta be careful! We aren't workin' with some goon anymore." he tried his best to seem somewhat helpful, as much as he loved taking on a legendary, it would be worthless if he didn't make it back and he'd need help from the rest of his team to make sure they all made it back. Trying his best to put the focus back on the current battle he ordered Bicy yet again. "G'job girl! Now let's keep on the assault! Hammer Arm!"

Had they been fighting one-on-one, this might have gone differently, but, ultimately, it was looking bad for the legendary. The onslaught of super-effective attacks that the Zygarde just faced would have completely destroyed any other Pokemon, and even then, Zygarde itself took a devastating amount of damage from it. It was still standing, but it was showing visible signs of weakening. Still, it refused to go down without a fight. Letting out a loud hiss, the creature once again slammed its body into the ground, creating a powerful shockwave that would tear through the ground. Chances were, however, strong that this would be its last attack.
Summary - Zygarde is weakened. This might be your chance to finish it off! - Zygarde used Earthquake!
