Surf City [OPEN]

"That'll be wicked, dude. I never caught a wave before, but I'm sure you'll be a good teacher. Maybe I should try some Poke-Surfing with a Pokemon that could ride the waves. My Dragalge would be a noice choice." Speaking dudenese was very fun and it really opened up a new window for her to communicate effectively with Luka. Pretty soon, she would have to use that kind of language often with the people that live in Dewford, but they might think it's strange for another person to speak like that. Nonetheless, surfing with Pokemon was a good idea to start since she might think it's a fun sport to try with a fellow surfer. And eating Magikarp was totally a good idea to enjoy while relaxing on a beach, no doubt about it. Sure, she actually used Morgan to both surf and scale waterfalls while going to a restricted area, but she might have him for a different use after all.

This was turning out to be a pretty cool day, already making his second friendship. Or, at least it should be his second, depending on the earlier circumstances. He pretty much took it to mean that if you can talk to him for more than five minutes, you're likely to want to hang around more. Either way, Luka heard of this Dragalge things, they were considered to be pretty top shelf since they were an evolution. "Whoooa, brah. Isn't Dragalge like. . . that dragon-algae pokemon? Gnaaarly." His enthusiasm sort-of peaked at this point, even if it didn't sound completely energetic. Just how surfer guys talk, always impressed while being completely laid back about it.

He was a bit surprised to hear she'd never gone surfing before, but it was a pretty inclusive hobby altogether. Not being from a coast town does halt someone's ability to go surfing, he could see that now. "Y'know what, dude? If you want, I can go and get a spare board right now and teach you the basics. Or hey, we can share the board I got right here, less time to waste." Presenting his offer the best way he could, he was all ready for it, even if she wasn't. He already had his beach clothes on, which is more than he could say for the girl standing in front of him.

Sure. It'll be better if we shared a board, dude. That way, time won't be wasted by getting a spare one." While the chandelier was busy with doing a sand sculpture once he finished his sand castle, she decided that it might be better if she had something that could be a lifeguard just in case if she was about to drown in the water. With another click of the Academy Ball, the algae dragon immediately dove into the water and went up to the surface. "You're playing the role of a swim buddy, bruh." The Dragalge nodded and floated in the water idly. He seemed to be enjoying the fresh ocean water and he loved to swim in it. Although, he was pretty used to being on land as a Skrelp, but the water was much better. Those surfing lessons were totally going to be worth it if anything was to go by.

Taking her opinion into consideration, it was a lot easier to just use the board he had now. Starting to lift it up from behind him, the fiberglass would now be atop his head, balanced on his scalp with the help of his hands. As he started to slowly turn around, making sure he wouldn't hit her with it by mistake. Whence turned around, he could hear a pokeball opening, looking over his shoulder to see exactly what came out. He'd never seen a pokemon so tall before, the poison-dragon dual type being a head or more above him. "Whoa," Expressing his enthusiasm for the new brah, he'd continue his way toward the waves. Time hadn't moved passed them too much, hopefully, the waters not looking too dangerous a it slowly came to night.


First things first, he had to make sure she could manage her weight and balance on it. Of course, since she wasn't a child, this would probably take a few seconds, tops. Getting knee deep into the ocean, he'd set down his board and hold it steady with his foot. Not using too much pressure, it'd just stay where he put it. Motioning for her to join him, he'd start to explain what she would do, "Now, you're gonna like, kneel on the lower part of the deck, just keeping your balance on the board to get used to it. The deck is, uhh, this part." Instead of just saying it, his foot would work its way on the thicker part of the board, gliding up and down it so she'd know where to go. Toward the nose would be the upper part, while, obviously, the tail is the bottom.


Once she was properly on it, he'd get on as well, having his knees towards the top of it to leave some space for her to get comfortable with the motions of the ocean. Soon after, he'd start to paddle with his hands to get further in, having a bit of a harder time, but not by much. He was used to his own weight, but the girl didn't add much to that, and with good reason. "You ready, brah?" He asked as a precaution, but his actions were already taken without her consent in mind. She'd just have to get used to it quickly, man.

After he had gotten the board that he was using, he started to teach her how to balance herself on the board properly. Well, he just put his foot on where the thicker part of the board was and it was called a deck. Morgan watched silently as he floated in the water, obviously interested in how the lessons were turning out while Henry was doing his own thing, making a sand sculpture using his telekinesis. And of course, he would be a regular Picasso with his own type of artistic flair. "Uh-huh. I think I got it, bruh. Gonna try what you said." She knelt down on both knees on the deck and waited for him to accompany her. She wasn't sure if her posture on the board was good, but she did try to do what he said beforehand. Surfing lessons were definitely something that she never did in her life.
