Soul of the Sea (fishing)

Tristan was sitting at the beach, minding his own business. This would change, though, as he walked up the pier and sat down there. He looked into the water and wondered if swimming in it would be allowed. Probably not, he told himself. The pokemon may not be dangerous normally, but better safe than sorry.

He lifted up an item that he had received for helping the school. The Old Rod, in surprisingly good condition given the name, felt rather good in his hands. It made him want to try to fish for some pokemon. He cast the line and waited for a bite.

Tristan felt a tug on the line after a short while. He waited to make sure that whatever it was had gotten on the line well; when he was convinced this was the case, he pulled it out of the water. He saw a strange red and blue fish on the line, he pulled out his pokedex with a smile.

"Carvanha," the pokedex named the pokemon. Tristan decided against using his Gastly for this battle; he instead threw out Pancham. The panda-esque pokemon stood in a fighting stance, ready to go. The Carvanha made the first move, surrounding itself in water before slamming into Pancham. This surprised Pancham, but he was still able to retaliate.

Using a karate chop, the fighting-type hit the Carvanha's weakness. The fish tried biting back, but Pancham wasn't affected that much by it. "Another Karate Chop, Pancham!" Tristan called out. Pancham swung down on the Carvanha. The water type coated itself in water again and crashed into Pancham, but it didn't matter much.

Tristan tossed a pokeball at it. After the beating it just took, this shouldn't be too hard of a capture.
